Came here on a Saturaday night to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was empty but there was a wedding going on upstairs. We had a table of 7 and brought a cake with us. We ordered snow pea leaves, fish filet, black bean clams, shrimp mayo, and tofu casserole dish. Everything was good! The waiter was a little pushy to have us order our food. We were still waiting for our entire party to get here. The food came out quickly. They help us cut the cake.Overall it was good.

Average foodTrash service, owner has no respect to customer, and their MC forgot to introduce the parents of the bride in the wedding. In general don't expect them to have some decent customer service. This restaurant is the only option in the area for banquet and wedding, so people have no choice, that's why they never learn to improve or provide a decent service.

Extremely "mid", as the kids say; bordering on poor. While several menu items looked interesting, I kept it simple figuring if they could do simple well, in future I would trust them with some of the more elaborate things. I ordered crystal dumplings and beef pan fried noodles. The dumplings were -- ok I guess. I've had much better. Rather than tender and delicate, the tapioca wrappper was just gummy. The shrimp inside had very little flavor. I'm guessing they were frozen. The provided "dipping sauce" seem to just be a dish of plain soy sauce. Noodles were super bland, and the sauce was thick and gloppy. The addition of fresh gai pan on them was welcome, but the button mushrooms were canned. I wound up dribbling some of the "dipping sauce" from the dumplings onto the noodles to give them a little bit more flavor. Desperate times.Decor is interesting, it's a lot fancier than I expected. But the vibe was kind of undone by the extremely bizarre music choices, which seem to be a weird shuffle of Spanish guitar instrumentals, soft pop love songs, and super weirdly, considering it's March, Christmas music. It wound up costing $30 including tax and tip, which is very expensive I think for the quality. I don't expect that I will be back.

Came on Mother's Day for a quick bite with a friend. I've passed by hundreds of times but never popped in. When you first walk in the smell is a little off putting. It's a mixture of cleaning supplies but with a dirty mop. The place however is huge and beautiful. They have space for private parties. Flowers, waterfalls and a swing indoors. The place was empty besides a family of 10. Another family of 8 came when we were close to leaving. It was only two people in my party. The food was meh and the service mediocre. Had I checked the reviews we would've skipped here. Both glasses on the table were filthy and we had to flag our waiter down to get new ones. My glass had a lip print on it like they just flipped the dirty glass over after the previous party left. They have a menu full of non alcoholic drinks but the only thing available was 12oz can sodas for $3.99. I don't drink soda. They didn't have bottle water. No alcohol. Thankfully the tap water was good. The server had no clue about the menu items. Every time we ordered something he requested we point to it on the menu. I wasn't really interested in any entree and decided to order a couple of sides. I got the pork dumplings, crispy shrimp dumplings and scallion pancakes. The pork dumplings were good in terms of flavor. However I requested them pan seared and it was like the steamed them and only pan seared one side. The side they pan seared wasn't seared as well as it should've been. You get 4 pieces for 8.95. I've received more, better executed dumplings for cheaper at other places. The crispy shrimp dumplings were horrible. They use wonton wrappers and they put one baby shrimp inside and deep fried it. I crumbled the entire wonton in my hand and it turned to dust. The only flavor was oil and fried wonton. The sweet chili sauce they served it with was okay. I was really upset with what was served. But I didn't want to make a big fuss as we were the only black people in the place. Never received anything like that in any dim sum, sushi or Asian restaurant I've frequented. The pickled daikon served with it was delicious. The scallion pancakes was another huge disappointment. It's like they used phyllo dough which is too thin and flaky. It was also super oily and greasy. They served it with some kind of curry sauce. The curry sauce was good. But way to heavy for the pancake. I also never received that sauce with scallion pancakes before. It's usually a soy based sauce. Another thing I could crumble in my hand. Every other scallion pancake I've had, has been more of a thick crepe consistency. I only ate a few pieces. My date got the kung pao chicken. His dish was tasty. You got hints of garlic and ginger the cashews added a nice crunch. Though the cashew to chicken ratio was off. The chicken was cut into small chucks and it was more cashews then chicken. They also served it with a cup of rice although the entree portion was enough for two people and rice is pennies so why so skimpy. Towards then end another server came he was friendlier. The other two families dining were Asian and there food smelled and looked delicious. It was also nothing like what we were served. So I guess I just didn't know what to order. Either way I won't be back. I've had better food from a Chinese restaurant.

Birthday Dinerrrrr with friends! The vibe at Asian Palace is so tranquil and welcoming with fairly upscale decor and soft lighting. The service is quick and efficient. The food was good, super fresh seafood boil but flavor a bit bland. I've been a few times and this place is very consistent. Definitely recommended!

Asian Palace helped my mom plan an amazing 50th bday bash! Phuong, the owner, was a great help throughout the entire process and the party was a huge success! The food has been consistently delicious (as remarked by my Vietnamese family as well), and we are so happy we chose this as our venue to celebrate my mom's special day. The venue is the most elegant and clean in comparison to the other Asian places I've been to in the Philly area, and the service by our three waiters was astounding. Any time a request was made, the waiter came back in less than 3 minutes and was friendly throughout the entire night. 3 waiters for 80 guests and extremely efficient.. that is impressive! Thank you Asian Palace, we will be back!!

Mixed feelings about this place - in many ways, the space and decor seems like an ideal place for hosting large events, especially if you want a festive Chinese feel to it. On the other hand, I think their pricing seems questionable, and I felt rather duped during my dining experience here. For starters, their food is meh. But what was worse is that for the dinner event being hosted at the Asian Palace, the meal was advertised as an 8-course meal (you think wow!) and then you find out it's really more like 4 large dishes that they bring out one at a time (what in the world). They included cut up oranges as part of their 8 courses for "dessert" (um, excuse me?). One of the "courses" was rice, and another "course" was rice crackers (o.o). Many of us at the table were definitely still hungry by the end of the meal. Oh another funny part of the story, dumplings were supposed to be served as part of the "course menu" and somehow it just got skipped. At the end of the meal, when our table asked why we had never got dumplings, they said sorry there isn't any left (I think maybe two or three other tables had gotten dumplings earlier on). We were not happy as we were still hungry, and then all of a sudden the server was like, "actually wait, let me check" and goes back to the kitchen. Literally 2 minutes later, they come out with multiple plates and plates of hot steaming dumplings for the different tables. Were they just lying to us before? Clearly they had cooked and ready but was just going to bypass it for some unbeknownst reason. I personally had a great evening with friends, as the dinner event was hosted through a school program, but the cost + food + service left much wanting in my opinion.

I pay for my son graduation family dinner for two tables it cost $358 per table and I brought cookies also 3 bottles One litter soda they charge me for $20 extra for the soda , they say their rule of their restaurant. All my family say they never and ever go there again. It's insane...!Party or family dinner should included soda because it's $358 dollars per table. Most Chinatown they do most of restaurants, but we want to try the foods there. The manager gave us two glass of ice that they charge us. 20 people two glass of ice and all other my kids they have to drink hot soda. On Sunday Father's Day June 16,2019 also they should give it to us free of charge because we didn't know their rule should give us warnings its okay too. I just want to let the the owner knows We don't get poor or rich in $20 dollars, but it's just disappointed our family. My first time there and I wanted to do my oldest son for temple graduation big party upstairs. Now no thank you . We consider go to Ocean City restaurant at Chinatown better then you. The place is huge upstairs we try dim sums and dinner couple times at Ocean City Rest. The food is good the owner and the servers are great friendly most importantly they come to talk to you or ask you what else do need .Corkage fee for Alcohol not soda 1 litter of 3 bottles 20 people that we have for two tables that I bought with me. Thanks anyway and no thanks you never seen us again. The manager are rude too. The prices are too high also Nice place - bad services - bad attitude- bull shit service I ever seen in my life .They charge nickels and dimes in that restaurant Good luck with your business and I hope you don't close the door soon. 1 star luckily no zero stars for me. I'm the father of my son graduation party and Father's Day too. DisappointedLook at my 2 tables nobody drink wine or alcohol My kids drink hot soda because they don't give us glass of ice. Does the owner knows what is Corkage meaning. They should google before they charge the customers. Never ever do any party or special events in Asian Palace . Not or never recommend this place to anybody ...! Pieces shit ...!
