I've been ordering from this place since I've come to Philadelphia for college! Super quick and well packed, and hits right in that sweet "one of those Chinese take out days" spot. I usually rotate between a General Tsos, Chicken + Broccoli, or the Lo Mein/Fried Rice Combination Platter. They're very generous with the vegetables and protein, so I always feel like I'm getting my money's worth. The chicken wings and spring rolls are pretty bomb too. I haven't found a better no-nonsense Chinese take out place in Philly yet! They're hard working folks, even working through Chinese holidays. Please come support this place if you're itching for some cheap food to fill up an empty stomach.

Ordered the ho fun and the general tso's chicken. The rice is steamed well, but has a little bit of a flavor to it that was almost buttery. Not bad though. The chicken is saucy and pretty fatty dark meat. My favorite part of the experience was the ho fun! The noodles were so delicious and thick, and the soy sauce and veggies in it didn't let me stop! Took me a few searches to find beef ho fun, and I think they hit it out of the park! Overall some average chinese food, but the noodles were delicious and the price wasn't too bad!

It is: fast, affordable, palatable Chinese takeoutExpect: Great value for $4-5 lunch specials, regular orders average $8. Much better flavor when compared to other takeout Chinese places in the area. Try the fried rice. Delivery min $10.Don't expect: Gourmet Chinese--if that's what you want, please take the subway to Chinatown. The noodles aren't always covered in sauce, the soup could use more corn starch, egg rolls may be undercooked but seriously what do you expect for this price? Notes: They separated the sauce in my sweet & sour chicken which kept it from being too soggy, this is appreciated. For better taste, at home stir fry the sauce and chicken around until the sauce and meat are nice and gooey (like the trader joes version of orange chicken).TLDR; if you must eat cheap Chinese, eat here. If you're picky and want great food, why are you looking at cheap takeout?

They have a select few items printed in Chinese on their takeout menu and it's stated these are recommended for "students from China." I imaged these items were probably a closer resemblance to real Chinese food than the rest of their menu items. Man, the double-cooked pork I ordered off of this list is even worse than the standard takeout fare. They use char siu as their pork, and just some cabbages. No a trace of spring onion or double-cooked pork. I think whatever the customer orders, they pour the same sauce and add whatever meat and vegetables they can find.

Lucky Garden is super cheap. They do a lot of substitutions and don't get mad. They love throwing in free drinks here and there. But I really only have one thing that I can think about when it comes to Lucky Garden, despite they're food being so yummy---I haven't had Pork Fried Rice of this quality in 15 years. Incredibly good.Honestly, I had half a mind to write a really nasty review because the way they talk to and about phone customers is unpleasant... but the pork fried rice made me forget until just now.

Literally one of the best Chinese takeouts I have ever had. Fresh every single time I've ordered, and I've been ordering here for YEARS! I highly recommend. I usually get the General Tso's combination platter that comes with spring roll. Their shrimp dumplings and crab rangoons are also really good. The owners are kind people and have given me free snacks once in a while.

Would not recommend this establishment. I walked in and asked for the chicken and broccoli with fried rice (pretty standard) and she told me the price was $8.75, however it was inly 2:30 so I asked if they were still doing lunch specials and she told me no (even though the menus in the window said lunch specials were until 3pm). So I still paid and waited about five minutes for my food. I noticed when she handed me the container it wasn't really hot and when I got home I had to put it in the microwave. At first glance it did not look bad but the rice was not cooked all the way and there were hard bits in my food. The broccoli was fresh and crunchy though so I added a star for that.

I usually come here, but this may be the last time. The floor was filthy, and sticky with condoms, and candy wrappers on the floor. The guy behind the counter was rude, and didn't give me a refund for an order mistake he made. I placed my order through UberEats, when I got to the store, the guy behind the counter said "The screen told me to make something else".....ummm, okay, so run me my refund. They have been better, but lately the prices have gone way up, while the quality is drastically decreasing.
