Stopped in for lunch with a couple of friends. Ordered onion bhaji, paneer kurchan and dal makhani along with some naan, paronta, tandoori roti and rice, and an order of chana bhatura. The onion bhaji was very good but the paneer and dal were excellent. Most Indian restaurants these days pre-make their sauces, the dishes we tried tasted especially fresh and tasty. My friends enjoyed the chana bhatura. The masala used the chana was a little different from what I like. The only thing that was a little odd to me was the size of the breads. The naan, roti and paronta seemed slightly smaller than a typical dinner plate. With the rice we had ordered, we had no issue, and you could always order more, but I had never seen breads made this small at an Indian place before. Overall excellent meal.

Our experience with Indian food in Miami wasn't great. This place opens late in the evening, and we stopped by after a tiring day. It's a spacious venue with plenty of tables and a bar.We were greeted by one of the staff members, who seemed busy. She showed us to a table and left, leading to a long wait for water and menus. The menu looked decent with some great options, but it was another long wait for her to return and take our order. We ordered mixed vegetable pakoras for appetizers, and for the main course, butter naan, paneer tikka masala, and vegetable biryani. By this time, the restaurant was almost empty, except for a couple of groups finishing their dinner. She returned after 10 minutes to inform us they didn't have biryani, so we ordered additional naan instead. Another 10-15 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The paneer tikka masala was delicious with great flavor. The butter naan was soft when served but quickly turned hard like a brick, making it difficult to enjoy. While the food was mostly good, the service was disappointing. It was already late in the evening, and leaving guests unattended for so long was not what we expected. Better communication about any delays would have made a difference. I hope they improve their service for future customers.

The entire experience was bad. Food was horrible. The people here need to learn how to cook real Indian food.

Pretty good Indian halal restaurant! Enjoyed their chicken momos (dumplings). Samosa chaat was decent too! Butter chicken and other curries were not as spicy or flavorful as we expected (especially for a medium spice level), so definitely recommended going to hot or more if you want spicy food. Overall authentic Indian restaurant with large diverse menu options. There's also a small grocery store inside with very limited options.

This restaurant is in a strip mall, and it is towards the back, so it's not really seen. This restaurant also has a grocery store within. I was super surprised when the sliding glass doors opened to a large restaurant. There weren't many people in there on a Friday night, and I kind of liked it! Everyone was spread out. If it were a smaller restaurant, it would have looked like more ppl, but it's actually pretty big, so it doesn't look like many ppl. There was soft music playing and a full bar that Indian beverages. I ordered a mango Lassi, which was delicious. It was a creamy mango consistency. My husband ordered a Taj Majal beer, which he liked. My goal shrimp was good, but I didn't taste as much coconut flavor as I would have liked. Now, that was my fault because I was looking for something specific but didn't know what. I told the waiter that I wanted something made with a thinker creamy coconut flavor, and he suggested a few things. Either way, it was delicious but not what I was looking for. My husband's dish had different types of meat that were very pedestrian; lacking the normal flavors you'd find in Indian cuisine. The rice with my dish was white rice, but no flavor, salt, or something. The naan we ordered was flavorful but very thin. The waiter was kind and did his best to suggest items. He also brought an additional dessert for us to try, other than the gulab jamun. He said it was milk, but I didn't care for it too much. But, the gulab was ok. I would like to give this place another chance because there are other items on the menu that I would love to try, and the waiter was kind. The restaurant is also far from busy and is quiet, something that we, with younger children, are looking for.

I found a gem in a Miami strip mall. This large restaurant is coming in with a bang as they serve up authentic Indian cuisine. You can expect that everything is made fresh as they even have an Indian grocery store onsite.I had been searching for a restaurant that serves up Momos, and was pleasantly surprised to land on Ashoka. While the service was a little slow, they made it up with incredible flavors. They are worth the wait.Best Dish: Goat CurryOpportunity for improvement: Butter ChickenKeema SamosaDeep fried and flaky pastry turnover filled with seasoned minced meat.$8.99Tandoori Chicken MomosSix delicious Indian style chicken dumplings$11.99Garlic NaanLeavened flatbread topped with garlic baked in the tandoor$4.99Cheese Naan$6.99Butter ChickenBoneless chicken cooked with onion, cashew nuts, fenugreek and spices in a creamy tomato sauce.$20.99Lamb MalabarLamb cooked with onion, dry red chilly, curry leaves, potatoes, and roasted spiced in a coconut curry sauce$23.99Goat CurryOn the bone. Love, love this place. First of all, you would never know this place existed looking from the outside in. It is inside a random strip mall in Doral. But as soon as you walk in you are greeted with a door into East Asian decor. Grand, and opulent. Truly you are transported elsewhere. The food is spectacular. Great flavors and all the food is fresh. I brought my friend here who had never tried Indian food and is picky. The waiter told her to try the samosas as it is a classic and well made there. They did not disappoint. Two come to a plate with a nice tamarind sauce. The sweetness of the sauce with the spice of the samosas was on point. We also ordered the chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer. Both were delicious. The butter naan was so fluffy and a great addition to any dish on the menu. The service is also great. Never a need to ask for water, Yoandra kept it coming. All in all, this place is a must try if your in the area. And definitely a more than viable option for Indian in the southwest area of Miami. What's more made my picky friend into a believer. She said she would absolutely come back.
