My husband and I have lived in Arlington, Texas a long time, but somehow we never got around to checking out Olives Mediterranean Grill, which, it so happens, is only three and a half miles away from our house! Well, we went there last night for our Valentine's Day dinner. Guess what? It was wonderful! Atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The food? So good! We didn't realize it was a Greek/Persian fusion restaurant, but whatever that means, the food was absolutely delicious. We started out with a generous platter of warm Pita bread, two hummus dips (sorry, I don't know the specific names), stuffed grape leaves and falafel. Then my husband had lamb (a gyro without the bread, basically) and I had a gorgeous plate of pastitsio! It was so good, I can't stop thinking about it and am planning on going back soon! Very soon, I hope! They are a BYOB eatery and everyone, including us, had a nice bottle of wine on their table to enjoy with their meal. Prices were very reasonable, with a few slightly pricier items here and there. It was just an all-around lovely experience and we plan on becoming regulars!

I love Olives Mediterranean Grill. I drive all the way to Arlington from West Dallas to eat there. My favorite things are the falafel and the lentil soup.

Amazing flavors! The chef owner prepares each meal to order & it's very fresh with authentic flavors. Tzatziki, hummus, baba ghanoush all made in house from scratch & it's easy to taste the difference. Lovely service in a very pleasant small dining room with an end cap of baklava & Turkish coffee. This place is a hidden gem!

I stopped by here on the way home from Dallas! I don't live in Arlington but searched fresh food. This place is a great gem. I had the chicken plate with rice and a salad. I ended with rice pudding and Turkish coffee. Everything was exceptionally good as I am very picky with Mediterranean food. I will NOT eat food from chain restaurants. This is one of the best places I've been to in a while. Great service, fantastic food. :)

We were in town for a reptile trade show and found this place for lunch. The owner isn't Greek but you wouldn't know that by his cooking. We had the dolmades as an appetizer and were transported back to Chania upon first bite. Thankfully we shared the main dish because the portions here are HUGE. Being that we were in a hotel we didn't have any way to reheat anything so we stuffed ourselves to the gills before rolling out.

Don't let the outside fool you. The food that's whipped up in the kitchen is amazing, has good portion sizes and tastes authentic. The customer service is also good! Expect to spend some coins. Ya not cheap. But, we'll be back!

This is one of those hidden spots (I literally passed it twice before realizing I was driving right by) that is a nice little spot for lunch. It was quiet with lots of windows with a cozy feel. The gyro was served on a warm pita (I could've just had this and been happy) served with french fries (Greek salad is another option). The crinkle fries were perfect! Can't wait to go back and try something else.

We're in town for a few days and were looking for a healthy dinner option. I found this gem after searching for highly rated, locally owned restaurants on Google. As newcomers to the city, we had a bit of trouble finding it due to nearby construction, but the search was well worth it. The building is small, tucked between a shopping plaza and a drive-thru restaurant. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady and seated immediately. The restaurant is cozy and charming, with beautiful Persian-style decorations that add to the welcoming atmosphere. We started with hummus, which was served with warm pita bread. It was creamy, homemade, and topped with a generous drizzle of olive oil. Next, we tried the garlic chicken plate, which was absolutely delicious! The chicken was tender and full of flavor, accompanied by the fluffiest saffron rice. My girlfriend said it was the best rice she's ever had! Everything else was fresh and light, creating a perfect balance. Our server was warm and friendly, taking the time to explain menu items in detail. Don't miss the hot Persian tea--it's of excellent quality and pairs perfectly with the meal, aiding digestion as well.I highly recommend this restaurant not just for the fresh and flavorful food, but also for the wonderful staff and owner. A true local gem!

The food is fabulous! I ordered the Greek Meatballs with tomato and green olive sauce, served with small Greek salad and rice. First, the Greek salad was fresh, with red onions, feta and Greek olives, loved the dressing. Meatballs (5) served in a separate dish with sauce, aside a large serving of rice. I only planned to eat half, but darn it, i finished the whole thing. Delicious! My dinner companions enjoyed: Briam, roasted vegetables with tomato sauce and melted cheese; dolmadas (stuffed grape leaves), Garlic Chicken, and Greek Salad with chicken.I also brought home an order of the Garlic Chicken for my husband, who loved it.Service was friendly and helpful. The interior is really lovely, light-filled, open, airy, and cozy. This was my first time dining at Olives Mediterranean Grill, but not my last.
