Okay, this is weird. I don't normally change a review within 24, but nothing less than a miracle has occurred, so I need to be fair. I am NOT changing my opinion of the falafels. They are still among the worst I have had in town. But the burger I now suspect to be enchanted. Without being too detailed, I have had stomach issues for a very long time. Sometimes, ordering out has terrible consequences on my poor stomach. I really expected the greasy burger from yesterday to send my stomach into convulsions. It was a tasty burger (I keep hearing Samuel L. Jackson's voice in my head when I think that), but it was indeed greasy. So, today rolls around and I was fearful of how it might progress. It's like that burger had magical healing powers. I feel better than I have in ages. I will probably repeat the burger treatment every few days for awhile. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but it had a positive impact on me.

The food tastes okay. I've had better local gyro, but the produce was fresh and the white sauce is good. However I had issues ordering and ended up with an allergic reaction I should never have run into. Also the AC might as well not exist, which contributed to me having a medical issue while there. To explain the issues ordering, I used the self serve kiosk and got the garden option. It listed all the veggies you can remove, but they were not correct. It showed the veggies in that as being different from other options.Specifically it showed carrot as an option. They instead have Jalapenos, like the other items do. Because of that being marked wrong in the menu, I ended up eating some jalapenos. I can't medically eat jalapenos. It won't kill me but they will make me very sick. Because of those, I was unable to eat the meal as made. Normally I ask about allergens but I had just finished dialysis for the day and could barely think, and one of the items specifically listed the vegetables on it and did not include jalapenos. That's not a mistake I'll make again though. Especially since the cheese sauce on the fries also had jalapenos. No mention of it.I didn't think to check that one because they offer the option of "No spice" on all the entrees. To me, why would the cheese be default spicy if no spice is an option? To rectify the situation they offered to "Switch it" for something I could eat, which I thought meant and then were planning to charge me for the new one. I was half way through the motions of paying before I realized they were charging me to replace food I'd taken one bite of and couldn't eat because of an undisclosed allergen. To be clear I didn't ask for more food, they offered, and I was willing to accept my loss when they were going to charge me. It didn't feel right to me but I was just going to mark it as a loss and a "never go back".They gain a star from being willing to halfway do the right thing after what I feel was misleading me about the solution offered. So I did end up with a new entree. However no refund or replacement was offered for the side, so I'm still out that much. For an issue caused by the menu not being updated or marked properly I don't think that should be a customer loss. I understand that varies and times are tough, but to me it isn't the right thing to do. You might disagree and that's your right.Where they lose points with any reasonable person though is I had to switch a more expensive drink for a less expensive plain water because of the ingredients. As far as I've seen I was not refunded the difference . Combined with the food issues I would not come back. The replacement food also wasn't right. They did mild spice instead of none and included onions, which makes me sick to a lesser degree. I was so defeated and worried about upsetting them more, and needed to eat to take a medicine or I'd be sick anyway, so I just ate it and dealt with the consequences. The workers probably aren't paid enough to deal with the results of the policies, and with the second food being wrong I was worried I'd upset them. So I wasn't going to push the issue. I should have though, or just not eaten anything. I was sick all of last night. The woman taking my order was overall nice but she definitely hasn't been trained how to handle a customer having a medical issue. While I was waiting for my ride I started to feel sick because of the jalapenos, and wasn't able to express what was going on because of the reaction I was having. I'm pretty sure I was clearly in distress, but the worker on the floor did everything she could to ignore me until I was leaving, and the general atmosphere was that I was causing a scene more than anything. Luckily I made it to my ride and was able to get home and rest, and it didn't progress to me needing an ambulance. If it had gotten much worse though I would have needed one at the restaurant, and that's scary because I don't think I could have called one for myself at that point, and I was being actively ignored while in medical distress. Also this isn't on them but it's a very inaccessible location too unfortunately. No bathroom, let alone an accessible one, which means anyone with GI issues can't eat in. Two large steps to get in, no railing. Maybe there's a wheelchair ramp but I didn't see one. I almost fell trying to get to my ride. All of this was definitely not worth it for the level of food they're serving. The white sauce is good and the vegetables are fresh, but like I mentioned, I've had better gyro at other local places including Abu Omar Halal and The Neighborhood Grill. Honestly I think that Mediterranean fast food place that was in a Walmart in town had a better flavor.Considering how many great reviews the place has, I'm hoping they just had a very off day. But it seems like some of their policies around issues with food need some work. And for the love of God I hope they update their self serve menu to be accurate.

We needed something quick and easy to eat late at night. I pulled this place up Ana saw so many reviews and that it had 4 stars. I was excited for a good meal. The first thing that I didn't like was the fact that you can't ask for no sauce on the plates. I was planning to just get there early and ask for them to put it on the side in person. I would've called in but when I got there I saw a long line and the person taking the orders was answering the phones. So I knew that wouldn't work. By the time I got there and up to the front, my food was already ready. Once I got my food I realized how it was ready so quickly. The food was COLD. Not one thing on any of our plates was hot. I picked it up as it was getting bagged so it had no time to get cold. We ordered:3 chicken plates with various toppings and a chicken gyro sandwich. The chicken plates were filled mostly with cold, barely seasoned rice. Then it's topped with maybe half a cup of old, dark meat chicken bits that also lack flavor. If you get any additional toppings it's little tiny bits of whatever you ordered. On the various plates we got onions, tomatoes, fries, peppers, pita, and all of it was stale little flavorless bits. It's been a long time since a restaurant disappointed me like this! My husband's pita sandwich was just as stale, cold, and old. I don't know what all of the great reviews are about. Not one person in the 5 of us who ate the food were pleased with it. It was almost inedible.

We grabbed take out from here while driving through Arlington, Texas (yes... we're on the road a lot!). I looked up top rated in neighborhood and this place came up. The restaurant itself was located in a strip mall and this bright location had a counter where you order then tables. The owners are from New York and moved to Texas. I ordered a gyro with tzatziki, green peppers and black olives. Unfortunately for me, after taking a bite, I realized that the sauce contained a large amount of mayonnaise, (new for me) something I'm allergic to dependent on dose. The gentleman working at the counter was really helpful, despite my forgetting to ask in advance, and they made me a fresh (and delicious!) sandwich relatively quickly . While standing at the counter, I observed that this establishment has a high flow of take-out orders. Definitely would come back!

Ordered the Manhattan plate via Yelp app on a weekday evening. Food was ready for delivery in about 10 to 15 minutes. Everything was fresh and lightly dressed with the cool white sauce over a bed of crisp Romaine and seasoned basmati. Came with a small side of a spicy, dark orange sauce that was rich in what tasted like cumin and paprika.

Truly emulates New York halal street cart food in taste, portion, and affordable price. I went here many times as a college student, with each meal being enough for me to be full for 2 full meals. I always get the Manhattan Mix platter! Love this UTA staple.

Roach infestation! Killed a bug on the floor waiting on food and didn't really think about it. However, when they started crawling all over the booth...we were done! Worker didn't seem that bothered when we let her know. Disgusting!

Take out deliveryEverything came in the order and packed well. Had the Manhattan Bowl and the Chicken Bowl, and a side of Garlic Fries Both were really good and just the right spice on each dish. It was more than enough for two people. Even had left overs. I recommend this place for take out and I plan on ordering from there again soon.
