Arcelia Mexican Taqueria

I drove to Hempstead from Round Rock this morning and happened to pass this place as I was leaving town. The line of people at the side window of this converted school bus was what caught my attention. I reasoned that if this many people lined up to order food in a small town, the food had to be good. I used to manage Mexican restaurants so I tend to be a food snob when it comes to Mexican food.I ordered a Taco de barbacoa and a Taco Pastor. I ordered both with Pico de Gallo, extra cilantro, and onions. The barbacoa was one of the best street tacos I've had. The meat was spiced to perfection and there was just enough juice to make it moist but not so much that it saturated my tortillas. I asked for tortillas de maíz and they tasted like they were home made. The blend of flavors topped by goat cheese was out of this world. I was equally pleased with the Taco Pastor. The third item I ordered was a Gordita de carne. The pouch was a little greasy but the flavor was delicious.The only problem is that they don't have a location in Round Rock.

All around Authentic Mexican food. Best truck around the small town good food good sweets and good drinks.

I've never seen a taco truck that had an outside sitting area and inside. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good it needed more veggies , but it had a good flavor . Tripita tacos where crunchy and the tortilla was a good size . I definitely recommend this place . I forgot to mention the indoor has AC and restrooms .

Absolutely love everything on the menu, always nice people . Would totally recommend coming here .

Would've been a 5 Star , but it's a hit or miss here sometimes the meat is hot n everything is fresh n then there's sometimes I go here my stuff is cold && extremely fatty but other than the inconsistency they're great people n very friendly staff .

Lived in Lakeway Austin area for 20 years and within 5 miles there were about 15 breakfast taco options . Moved back to the Chappell Hill / Brenham area about 3 years ago and could not find a great breakfast taco place . Tried this place this morning and it's OUTSTANDING ! The bacon egg taco is life altering ! I will be a regular here and will try there lunch options soon ! Service was good too ! I just wished I would have found this place before now !

i heard good things about this taco truck unfortunately my experience was horrible! The guy taking our order was rushing us despite the fact we told him it was our first time. Cutting us off in the middle of our sentence saying "Que mas". We asked what came in some of their items, he told us & when the food came out it was missing most of the ingredients he had said that came with it. I would say it is fairly cheap but bc of the portion size (small). Overall was just not it today:/ don't think I'll be driving 45+ mins ever again to come back!

Tacos de tripa were crunchy and my favorite! I'll need to go visit again. Service was great.
