My happy place for me and my abuela. The Mexican cuisine here reminds me of home and their homemade tortillas are to die for. My favorite thing to order is their quesadillas de huitlacoche. You can't find that just anywhere. Lovely owners too, always so great to see them. They now have a food truck right next door too that has birria! If there's space I love sitting outside with my family and they provide shade too. What more can I see how much I love this place!

This place is a must, Authentic, flavorful homemade food. I've been coming for years and I've tried pretty much everything on the menu except the soups. My absolute favorites: Quesadilla Huitlacoche with lettuce and onions. Green Enchiladas verdes with chicken. Tacos dorados with chicken. If you're boujie / fresa, stay out. Won't meet your Princess status as it's a small family owned restaurant.

Love the food. Always order too much. The taco dorados are Sinaloa style and not available elsewhere. I always order 5 and afterwards I feel I can eat another 5 more haha. But its hard to eat there because the hours are soooo limited which I took away a star! I worry about how they stay in business! They use to close at 6 but now, at 3 pm! The people here are nice and always very accommodating.

Loved this place I got the California burrito and it was huge and delicious. It took a little time to make but it was well worth it. Very good flavor on the Kearny Asada. The fries were crispy and made to order the cheese, melted nicely and the sour cream wasn't overwhelming. do you have the option to sit inside or outside? I chose to take my food to go but I had to taste it fresh so I ate a little bit outside. The service is fast and friendly. They make your food to order so it's not sitting there waiting for you. It takes a little while but not too long. I would rather not sacrifice quality for speed, especially with food. The price is a reasonable if you can pay cash to avoid, the fee is $.85 charge do use a debit or credit card. The place is very traditional and plenty of parking service with a smile and I will return it in the area again that dude was super cool. He gave me extra guacamole, salsa upon request and brought the burrito out to me when it was ready I was sitting outside doing some work on my laptop and he came out and went the extra mile for me.

Ordered the following:Tlacoyo de Carne AsadaQuesadilla de Huitlacoche Unfortunately the carne asada had no seasoning, nor did the nopales, nor the beans inside the tlacoyo, nor did the cheese add any potential flavor. I stopped eating it half way because it became flavorless calories. The quesadilla on the other hand had a little more flavor to it and was alright. The masa had a nice golden crisp color. I will say it would have been better with a superior cheese that retains flavor. Huitlacoche is rare to find and I'm amateur when it comes to it's taste but it was alright. The salsa's (green and red) were too spicy for my taste. I bet they add a little more flavor to the food but to my disadvantage they don't fit my needs. My advice if you come here is start with the quesadillas and bring your own salsa. Perhaps add salt to the food. This type of food is hard to find and when made right is the superior type of Mexican Food.

I was told by one of my aunts that this place was a must in San Diego. I had never heard of it, and thus was skeptical. I'm so glad that I chose to visit. The reason for my four stars is because the location is not very Ideal. It's hard to find because there isn't a big enough sign to locate this place. I think they could be in a better location or get better signage so that it is an easier place to find. It's in a small little center with a very small parking lot, so you could never guess it would be there. Let's move on to the stars of the show, the owner gave us such amazing service. He was very grateful to have us visit and was beyond accommodating. He explained the menu to me, was so confident that I would love anything off the menu he said he couldn't recommend just one thing because everything was made with so much love that I would want to try it all. I ended up ordering, along with my aunt, the tacos dorados, the Bombazo, and the Chicharrón quesadilla. These are very traditional dishes in Mexico, and they tasted very authentic. This was the real deal. I've had the pleasure of visiting many places in Mexico, and I can say this reminded me of those places, each bite took me back to those beautiful Cities. For starters the tacos dorados were so delicious, I opted for the chicken ones. They're topped off with lettuce, pickled onions, fresh grated cheese, and crema. You get an option of four salsas, the green, the peanut salsa, the traditional red salsa, and the avocado salsa. We tried the peanut and the green one. They were both very delicious. I added both to each bite. The quesadilla was what took me back to a restaurant I visited by the pyramids in Mexico City. I closed my eyes and it just felt like home, have you ever had food feel like home? The quesadilla was made with a homemade tortilla large in size, stuffed with cheese, chicharron and lettuce. The Bombazo is in my opinion similar to a torta that is stuffed with papas con chorizo, beans, lettuce and cheese, then dipped into a sauce and thrown on the iron grill. No, this does not make it soggy. It simply coats the bread with a kick of flavor. A must have in my opinion. The potatoes could have been cooked a little bit more, but it didn't take away from how delicious this was. Rumor has it they are considering closure, Im so sure they don't get as much recognition due to the location because the food, is amazing! Let's support this small business, highly recommend.

Place is small and you have to be there before being hungry, because it takes more than usual to get your food. Good news it is because it's all made fresh and you can taste it. I'd probably come back but I'd order ahead.
