My girlfriend visiting from Miami was excited for pizza, so after our visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Antico just made perfect sense. As someone who's not a huge pizza fan, it's been a while since I've been to Antico, but I remember it's been an enjoyable experience every time. I've only ever visited the Midtown location but am glad you can get your own piece of Antico at multiple locations throughout the metro Atlanta area now. Although parking at this busy location in the heart of Midtown can be challenging, we lucked out at 8pm on a Thursday evening and were able to park pretty easily. Once you enter this location, expect a short line where you'll order at the register. After ordering, walk to the huge dining area in the back of the restaurant where you can watch experts making your pizza, wash your hands in an industrial sink, grab pizza toppings, and choose a shared seating bench area. My girlfriend and I decided to order two pizzas as we anticipated leftovers. We picked my two favorites:- San Gennaro: Italian sausage, Sweet Red Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic, Cipollini Onions- Diavola: Spicy Salami, Calabrian Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, GarlicBoth pizzas were incredibly delicious! They came out hot and fresh - even if you get these to go, you've got to eat a slice or two there. The toppings are fresh and delicious and oh wow, the cheese! Pro tip: the best topping is the fresh garlic! Overall, I'm glad I got a refresher on how delicious Antico pizza is and will try not to wait so long before returning again!

3.5 out of 5 "If you wait too long to eat it, it's like it's been sitting in your uber eats drivers car for a few deliveries, where the dough is stringy, and the crust is harder. My suggestion is not to eat this pizza cold, you will be disappointed."Heard a lot about this place so we were excited to go and we also wanted to support our great friend who LOVES this place. We went out for a family night of 4 so you can imagine how packed the place was. The parking lot was full but the manager allowed us to get a vip spot, already, very welcoming and off to a good start. We ordered a fan favorite (Margarita Pizza) and added fungi since the hubbie loves mushrooms. Saw something different (lasagna pizza) so I figured that would be great for the kids and myself as well. Customer service was very nice but immediately noticed that this wasn't the kind of place you can't do a lot of modifications regardless of what they offer, and that's okay. We asked for some wine recommendations, but that didn't go far, assuming the cashiers were young and couldn't help..... so know what you want before you go. We ordered and looked for seating. To our surprise it was a large back section with long rectangular tables and benches where you share seating with customers who came to eat. A little different and a loud setting, but probably perfect for large parties who came together. Food didn't take anytime to come out, super plus! Our children were hungry so this is definitely a situation if they like pizza and want it fast. The waitresses scream out your number and bring it right to you. So the for the pizza...... it comes out piping hot, but 15 minutes later and beyond it's very cold and soggy. The ingredients are very fresh and tasty, but parts of the crust tastes burned on the outside and soggy on the inside. I'm told this is "Napoleon style" so if you're not familiar with that, this place may be a shocker or an acquired type of style pizza. I got a suggestion to put the minced garlic they serve with it, and boy that was a great suggestion! Goes great, but spicy if you're familiar with fresh garlic. If you wait too long to eat it, it's like it's been sitting in your uber eats drivers car for a few deliveries, where the dough is stringy, and the crust is harder. My suggestion is not to eat this pizza cold, you will be disappointed. Overall I feel this place is overly hyped so people are forced to like it more than they would due to it being different and overexposed. If this same pizza was at a regular chain place, more ppl will complain. The history behind it is really what draws ppl to it. They feel like they've had a taste of the culture, but in actuality, it wouldn't be this popular in if it were a normal chain restaurant in America. Enjoyed the fresh taste but I wouldn't say it's enough to crave and rush back.

Was Good Pizza 5+ years ago but have started going down hill since they expanded.Last few times the pizza has been too floppy. It's a constant thing now....needs to cook for another 2-3 minutes. It used to be a little more crispy....Also the last few times I went they've been BLASTING music on this little boom box WAY too loud ; Ruins the atmosphere in the restaurant. I had family come into town and we couldn't sit in the kitchen area to eat because the music was too loud ; had to move out to the high tables.

Parking is in the back. The place looks like it is designed for carry out but there is some seating on the inside. This block is called Little Italy because there are like 4 restaurants that share parking. I think all 4 venues serve Italian food.Authentic venue with everything made from scratch in the back. Pizza was delicious. I ordered the Lasagna Pizza with a cannoli on the side. The pizza is thin crust with lite sauce. The ingredients mix really well together. Taste is off the charts but the pie is not that filling. Cannoli is pretty tasty.Condiment bar in the back has different seasonings and toppings to put on your pie.

I've wanted to try AP forever and finally got the chance yesterday. The start of our experience was, shall we say, inauspicious. The lunch hostess was rude and roughly as welcoming as a dyspeptic honey badger. The only thing more fake than her eyebrows was her smile. Undeterred by this unfortunate opening chapter, we proceeded to the back. And it was here that the magic began. Greeted by the piquant aromas of the large open kitchen, we had a seat and took it all in. One chef carefully lifted and turned a pizza in one of the three ovens, while another quickly prepped toppings with a rhythmic rat-a-tat-tat. Our Margherita fully met expectations - the chew and leoparding of the crust, the robust flavor of the sauce, the quality of the mozzarella, the proportions and the appearance - all deserved high marks. The accompaniments were outstanding, with particular kudos going to the Calabrian chiles, both within a prepared sauce as well as served individually.

One of my favorite pizza places in Atlanta! They are counter serve, have a simple menu, separated by red sauce, white sauce, and calzones. The pizzas here are so fresh and delicious (my favorite is the Margherita pizza - classic and delicious) - they are all cooked fresh to order in a giant wood fired oven. They also have toppings available like fresh garlic, Calabrian chilis, parmesan, oregano, etc. The only rub to Antico is that the restaurant isn't too big, has community tables, and open seating - so as long as you're prepared for that type of experience, you're in for the most delicious pizza!

Ever since I moved to Atlanta, I've heard a LOT about this place and I finally made my way here this week. It wasn't very busy on a Tuesday weekday evening. The architecture of this place is definitely one of a kind. We placed our orders (two pizzas) and waited inside for it to be ready. We could get our choice of toppings - garlic, basil, peppers, cheese, while the pizzas were getting baked. The turnaround to get our pizzas wasn't too bad either. After collecting our pizzas, we went outside (it was loud and busy indoors). First impressions? Both of them looked delicious. Taste? It was good. I liked the crust as well and the balance was pretty good (not too dry, not too gooey). What I didn't like? It is way too expensive for what is received. Also there's no water, except buying bottled water.

Amazing pizza. Had been told best in ATL and lived up to the hype. Wood fired, thin chewy crust, fresh ingredients. I will crave this pizza!!! Not only is the pizza amazing but such an incredible experience sitting by the makers and watching them produce their incredible goods!! It comes out super fast, hot, and is just incredible. We got 3 pizzas for 8 adults and it was perfect. We absolutely loved everything about this location. A must try in Atlanta. Pepperoni was my favorite! Margherita was also so delicious.

Always super crowded, parking takes so long to find. They are supposed to be all authentic Neapolitan pizzas, however, after being in naples and eating there, the quality and freshness of pizzas there cannot compare to antico. Nonetheless, the pizza is still very good and I loved it. I took off a start for having only one restroom, the place is always packed and its a unisex restroom, it was sooo dirty!!!

Two words: sooooo good!!! Literally!! This was probably the best margherita pizza I've ever had. Prices are reasonable for being inside The Battery; the restaurant is clean and relatively big. The pizza came out quickly after we ordered and one pizza can easily be shared among 3 people. We also ordered a large salad; the dressing it comes with is delicious.
