Angie’s Munchies Restaurant

I started my day on Yelp searching for some great food. My search brought me to Angie's Munchies. The rating of the place was high - so I had to give the place a try. My son had a quesadilla and a pancake; I had chilaquiles and quesabirria. Everything tasted like it was cooked by an abuelita based on recipes passed down through generations. Every single bite was amazing!The place has some awesome looking decor. I know that the location of the place may make one question -- "should I go there?" The answer to that question is definitely, yes.This place has earned the high rating for sure. Maybe, I can re-write that Afroman song in honor of this place:I was gonna order chilaquiles cuz they were rated highI was gonna order quesadillas too cuz thy were rated high Now my pants fit real tight and I know whyCuz the food was rated high Cuz the food was rated high Cuz the food was rated highLa la da da da da la da da daCome check this place out!!

Food was great and the decor is so cute. It is exactly what is says...munchies. Tacos, nachos, birria etc. The service was amazing!!! Hidden gem for sure.

The tacos were good as hell but everything else was mid. Rice was dry and hard like it had been reheated. I picked this place up for my family and they liked the tacos a lot. It's just not worth it in my opinion for the $$$. this place was expensive i wanna say like $50 for a plate and 5 tacos. i honestly can't remember but it was too much for what it was. I loved the tacos but if the rice and beans not good ima be upset lmaooo Also the decor is nice i can tell they remodeled or whatever. Service was fast cause i picked up

I'll be honest I'm not from the area, so I found this place via yelp so I can order something for lunch. The benefits of ordering here was that the food was hot and fresh and I received it quickly. I have just had better quesadillas in the area; there was nothing really wrong with it. It's just that I wish the meat was seasoned. The best part of my meal actually was the drink. I ordered pineapple drink and it was amazing. Since the food was hot and fresh, I might order something else to give it another shot.

The birria tacos and pork and cheese pupusas are amazing. The burritos are superbig and full of stuff!! The only negative was they obviously don't specialize in quesadillas because it was pretty empty, but the tortilla was very buttery and homemade. If I had one tip for them is to improve the quesadillas. The rest is so good!!!

This was my second time coming here in the past week. I had previously found this gem while searching for breakfast on Yelp that was near my job. My craving for chilaquiles and the good reviews for this establishment on Yelp made it a no brainer to visit!Upon entering, you're greeted with flamingo decor all over. It was also visibly clean and tidy upon entering as well. There is also a stage in the far corner for bands and singers during peak times.Both times that I visited, I ordered the chilaquiles with green salsa and scrambled eggs. They come with rice and beans as well. The portions are large enough to split this with someone else, but I didn't care to do so either time!I also ordered a drink both times - the first time I originally ordered a horchata, but when I arrived to pick up my order, they said they were out, so I received jamaica (hibiscus) instead. The second time I visited, I ordered sandia (watermelon) drink. Both drinks were delicious and refreshing!If you're in the area, please stop by this establishment! You won't be disappointed!

Thanks to the Instagram algorithm this adorable place showed up in my feed yesterday. We decided to try out their new brunch platter but honestly the entire menu looked amazing. They brought us out some house-made chips and salsas and had 3 agua frescas of the day. Their jamaica flavor was spectacular! The brunch platter came out and all we could do was laugh because it was massive. Fresh fruit, sausage, ham, waffles, chicken tender pieces, scrambled eggs and nutella plus hot sauces and syrup on the side. The restaurant itself is clean and adorable, bathrooms were also clean. We will definitely be going back to try out the rest of the menu.. 2 very big thumbs up!

Looking for a lunch spot on our way out of town and really happy we found Angie's! Staff was so friendly, and the whole place, including decor downright cheerful.A friendly gentleman offered us a sample of freshly squeezed sugar cane juice with lime when we walked in and we knew we were in the right place.Everything on the menu looked tasty and the options are impressive. I feel like everyone in a group could easily find something to hit the spot (lots of Mexican breakfast options, and even a Philly Cheesesteak or Chicken Alfredo which I imagine are both great if unexpected choices).We got the quesabirria and it was outstanding (loaded with fresh cilantro and onions) as were the papusas. So good in fact, my kiddo ordered another one after finishing his first. The curtido was also especially tasty as were the chips and salsa.Did NOT hurt that they were playing a mix of 90s R&B and hip hop during the lunch hour. I wish we had an Angie's in Austin and if you find yourself looking for a place to eat, the short 10 minute drive off I10 is well worth it.

i ate at their food truck during the Sazon food festival and it was great so I decided to try the restaurant and this food is the real deal! delicious and a lot of it at a great price point. I give them a strong recommendation.

The owners, staff and food were excellent. It was a very clean and inviting restaurant. Reasonably priced and nice portions. Authentic Mexican Food.
