Angara Kabab & Karahi

The food here is delicious. I came for the first time on Sunday for the buffet and I am happy I did. They have a wide variety to choose from including meats and vegetables. This place os clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. I recommend this place.

So this was our first time trying afghan food . We found them on Uber eats . So I always expect middle Easter food to be bomb . Mostly because of all the spices and flavors in the food . I'm almost never let down and tbh the food definitely missed the mark :/ . We ordered the lamb chops 6.8/10 the green sauce is really what made the dish. The lamb chops without sauce 5/10. Daal fry (6/10) I think I'm used to carribean daal so I thought it would be more flavorful it wasn't but it was cool . Saffron green tea tasted like perfume water unfortunately was not a fan . Lamb Karahi was cool I'd say 7.5/10 was definitely my favorite just missed a little something something but very tasty I'd definitely order this again if I came here they gave us a free chicken tikka leg quarter (Uber eats) it was nice I'd say 6/10 nothing to write home about missing the usual deep flavor I thought it would have . Garlic nann was bombbb very big fluffy pieces of nann too was delicious 8.9/10 .

Customer service was epic. Guy at the counter was very nice and professional. Chapli kabab have to be the worst I have ever eaten in my entire life. There was another customer complaining of the same issue.

Wow! Shinwari has one of the best Hyderabadi Haleem and goat biryani we have tried! Loved visiting and trying their unique fusion dishes (mostly Indo-pak that we tried) made by their Hyderabadi chef along with some Afghan dishes! Also the service and hospitality were amazing! They also have a weekend buffet and Afghani items available as well!- Chicken and goat biryani: authentic hyderabadi traditional flavor with hyderabadi mirchi ka salan-Red Chicken curry and naan was really flavorful, -Rumali roti was super soft and melts in your mouth-Chicken 65 and naan: spicy fried chicken appetizer- definitely amazing-Desserts: hyderabadi shahi Tukra and double ka meethaAt the end of the meal we enjoyed the Kawa tea5901 Hillcroft St, Houston, TX

If you want to have a great culinary experience of authentic karahi Gosht, Chapli Kababs or any other Pakistani/ Indian food try this place out. Not only is the food absolutely amazing their service is a few notches above. The Chef Mr. Habib is one of the nicest people I've met and most accommodating when it comes to any social or business event you want to plan.

He took my order for paneer biryani and after 25 min came back with naan and chole and said Biryani is not available. The chole also tasted like they had meat in them. When I told the person he said it's just not possible. I just wish they had told me upfront they did not have vegetarian options.

Restaurant now renamed Angara. This is a golden find for us. Layla is always kind. Chef Habeeb makes the best Hyderabadi biriyani. It's not a restaurant where one sauce is made and then other meats are added. Everything tastes exactly as they should. They have double ka meets which is like back home, then human ka Martha which is an apricot delight!!! No other indian restaurant we've been to in USA has that. Chef Habeeb and Layla keep up the great work. Excellent Naan and wow amazing portion size and not oily or too spicy. Wish this restaurant is more recognized in Houston. This is our go to place for Indian!! They are the kindest, nicest staff ever!!

In a Local strip mall complex with a few other good food options I settled on Shinwari. Downstairs from Zewd Nails, this place is nice. Plenty of free parking, super kind customer service, delicious food at reasonable prices. I had the all you can eat option to try a few things...all delicious! I love Indian dramas, so the romance, dancing and music keeps me good company on this solo venture. When I was younger I could've eaten more so that was a sad moment, compounded with of course no carry outs. Great spice profiles on each dish and homemade naan. They made more salad for me, crisp and fresh cukes, carrots and onions with yogurt dressing, yum. Tried Iranian and Pakistani Chai ---Pakistani was my fav.

This was horrible I don't recommend the chicken was expired and then they give us expired shroomba a yogurt drink I never wanna come here again please read my warning my kids were throwing up all nightTheir service was horrible I never recommend you coming to this place they forgot 2 of my naan and The place smelled horrible I do not recommend

Great food with over the top service. Food tasted just the way it is back home. Seating is a little tight, little pricey and kebabs take time but it is all WORTH IT. Naan comes in Texas size and soft/fluffy like a cloud. Overall it is a good experience eating here. I would rate it #1 restaurant in Houston for Indo-Pak food.
