Amy’s Pastelillos

Well worth the hype! We were so excited when we heard Amy's was coming to our neighborhood and her and her friendly team did not disappoint. We tried four pastelillos and got a side of the pickled yuca and everything was excellent. Standouts were the bbq pork guava and soy chorizo. The shop itself is small but super cute, with small products for purchase, which we hope to look at closer when it's less busy. Very excited to come here very, very often!

I'm glad to see a new lunch spot pop into the neighborhood. I've been here a few times now, and it's pretty solid. The empanadas are delicious, but I've really been enjoying the pollito bowl. My only critique is that the bowls should come with a sauce by default. Also, online ordering would be helpful for grabbing lunch. Right now, the wait can be unpredictable, which can be a hindrance on busy days. Overall, it's a nice addition to the area, and I look forward to seeing it improve.

such a small and cute little place tucked in Fishtown! The staff was super quick and sweet and the food all came out fresh and hot!

Finally made it to Amy's Pastelillos during lunch on a weekday. There wasn't a line when I went (phew) and I ordered one of each of the pastelillos and a side of beans. Everything was great! I was so glad that they have vegan options on their menu because I was able to share with my coworkers that are vegan. Would definitely recommend.

These are so, so good. Limited hours, sometimes a line out the door, but well worth it. Every variety has been on point, although the classic beef is the king. Mushroom and cheese one was incredible too.

I had the vegano bowl and a yuca con gandules empanada! They were both delicious. The bowl had a generous serving of of well seasoned gandules and plátanos maduros. The calabaza (pumpkin) and potato were so comforting and the avocado could've been a bit more generous but I'll ignore it since I was so full from the bowl. The empanada was super fresh and the filling was packed with flavor. The culantro garlic sauce also hit the spot. Service was friendly and timely especially seeing that my friend and I had arrived at a very busy time of day. The restaurant is made for takeout service with some chairs outside. We ate at a nearby park. If the owners are able to, having some small tables on the sidewalk would welcome some more dine-in clients. I look forward to returning and trying out the many vegetarian empanada options!

Saw this place off of social media and was looking forward to visiting. Definitely worth the trip - the food was very good, my entire family enjoyed it so much. We haven't had much luck finding good Puerto Rican food since we moved here from NYC 4 years ago but Amy's spot exceeded our expectations! Her and the staff were super nice and welcoming. It is a take-out spot so we ended up just eating in our car since we couldn't wait to try her food, the aroma was so enticing! Definitely will be back soon to try other items off the menu. You know it's good when people are already lined up before they open (which is 11-3, Wed-Sat) I hope Amy is here to stay for a veryyyy long time and wish them continued success! We had yuca, pastelillos (pork, chicken, beef) arroz con gandules, maduros, and tostones. Everything was amazing! And of course, we had to get Maltas!

We've been fans of Amy's Pastelillos for a while when she sold them at Bean2Bean! There the bacon egg and cheese was killer. So happy she has her own spot now and that we can try her other creations! You can't beat the price for the combo meals ! 3 pastelillos and a side for $16 is wild! Huge fans of the beef picadillo pastelillo and love that she has so many rotating specials. We tried the chicken Schwarma this day too and loved it. The tres leches was also a nice sweet treat. Can't wait to try more other items on the menu.

Super cute take out spot- went for their opening and got the Ropa Vieja special bowl which was SO GOOD and a fantastic value for price. Very big portion, pulled beef, plantains, rice and avocado, it actually filled me up compared to other lunch bowls. I also got two of the pastellilos the mushroom and cheese and then the BBQ pork and both had great flavor and were fresh out of the fryer so crispy and yummy.
