Ameen Fish and Wings - Mableton

This Georgia gem reminds me of the Fish and Shrimp houses scattered around Chicago. Folks back home would debate on which place had the better breading. The breading here is light and tasty. The aroma on the drive home will make you dig in the bag long before you arrive to your destination. I find it delicious and momma smacking good (not my mom, smack yours -lol). Note worthy: They are keeping up with the times and also offer to grill any items you select. Ya'll let me know how those grilled items turn out, I come here to be bad!!! Fry it up baby - lol I'm a self proclaimed goof ball, I've always struggled with wing orders, I'll order 5 wings, Ehhhh excuse me, where is the other half of my wing? Here they offer whole wings - insert goofy grin here. The crowd goes crazy - lol. What I've had so far (All Fried - don't judge me): Shrimp, Whiting, Trout & Wings. It was all delicious - went back again two days later... I wanna go now!!! Admittedly, I try to limit my fried foods - stressing the try... The food here is addictive...They have 3 locations listed on my menu, but 4 locations listed on line, so make sure your location is open for business... Also, you have an option to call your order in for pick up, or you can opt to eat in the dining area. TIP: Keep in mind when you bag up fried food for a long ride, the condensation can change the texture of the coating, so I suggest heating up in an oven and not a microwave. Enjoy!

I ordered 10 wings extra light lemon pepper and asked if I could substitute the fries with okra & was told yes. They said the order would be ready in 10-15 minutes, so I left my house 25 minutes later. The okra cost me an extra $2.49. So much for substituting. By now it had been 30 minutes for that 10-15 minute cook time. I watched the guy get my order & lay it on the counter while it appeared he was taking a to go order. The wings were floating in what appeared to be lemon juice. I thought it was butter but it tasted like pure lemon. They were so salty & had so much lemon pepper on them they weren't edible for me. I had to wash them off, pat them dry, & reheat. Thank goodness the okra was edible. I won't go back!

The flavor of the fish is just okay. While I understand that you must appease everyone's taste buds, I would prefer the fish to be a bit more seasoned and flavorful. I do enjoy the consistency of the meals always being freshly made and hot.

It's very small but the food there is SO GOOD! EVERYONE I have brought food from there says "it taste just like mom's!" It's just so fantastic, I'm not even sure what else to say, lol! All the fellas there are so nice and so kind and the best part is that the staff make everything FRESH!*ETA: I'm from Florida, so I'm a harsh judge of fish!! And they are SPOT ON!!!

I love the Catfish! It's seasoned really well and it's served fresh and hot. I don't even really like seafood, but I can eat this because there's no fish taste and it's not too salty. I only get the Catfish, so that's all I can review at this time.

Clean, excellent service, respectful great location consistent flavor. Variety on menu. Everything taste good. Formerly Yasin's this fish hub gets down to business when it cone to preparations and service. They close late so you can get that late night fix when you are craving the crispiness of light tender fish mashed between two pieces of bread and hot sauce.

Should be banned!Food: I think this restaurant uses a pot made of salt to make their food. Omg, the amount of salt in my food should've been a crime. The fact that this place is in a lower class community is an abomination! They make the prices affordable, but the food is extremely unhealthy! It's already fried to all hell, but then you add tons of salt! I kid you not; we saw a man limping out. Yes. He had gout, and as he left, the cashier said "see you tomorrow". Unbelievable! Note: I ate like 3 bites of my food and threw the rest out. I couldn't even stomach so much salt.Cleanliness: Not bloody likely!Would I recommend? Not even to my worst enemy.Will I be back? If someone protests this place, absolutely!

Food was good per the person who requested the order. The service tonight was 0-Zero. The lady in the window kept yelling it's cold--then "SHUT DOWN DRIVE THRU". She was so rude and normally* most are super sweet (we eat here on a regular). She should only work during the warmer seasons. Ambience just another neighborhood fast food-(it's usually good) Please lady do NOT work drive thru until it's warmer. Because you yelling was really upsetting

Tasty, well seasoned fish. I don't care for the sides or wings. A little bit of a wait since food is prepared per order. Service is ok
