Guacamole is unnecessary and ruins the dish. Chef needs to decide if he/she wants mushy or crispy.
INSANELY delicious lemon-infused Half-Bronzino

Tip added to my bill that was NOT in my handwriting - had to dispute with my bank for months!!! Very hard to reach the restaurant as well - no direct phone line. While the food tasted great, the price point was high. Service was slow, making us rush for our continued Bachelorette plans, even though we had allotted 2.5h for a group dinner.

Very surprised with the quality of food; writing this review in late August and the Miami Beach area was very quiet and this place was nearly empty during my stay at Lennox Hotel. Since I didn't want to explore the area for food in a 95 degrees weather + 80% humidity, I decided to give this place a try. Ordered three things: prosciutto & calamari salad, half portion branzino and flan. All three dishes hit the spot and I actually finished all these in one sitting because it was so good, I would be committing sin if I leave anything behind. Strongly recommend trying this place!

The service is phenomenal- they even accommodated us as we walked in at 9:57 and they closed at 10. I wish I could say that for the food. We had the octopus to start and it was mid at best. The accompaniments were good but the octopus was a bit chewy - it would have helped if it was charred or crispy. My bf had the pork schnitzel and it was burnt around the edges and barely done in the center. I had the lobster ravioli and the sauce was nice but the ravioli was so hard - maybe a freezer ravioli? Not sure. Maybe the food wasn't the best because they were closing and rushing to get out. I will say the ambiance is gorgeous. The hotel and staff have been amazing and would wish the food would be up to par but idk try it for yourself. I definitely wouldn't eat there again.

Pros .Good service pretty ambience Let me start by emphasizing the Williams-Sonoma decor detail & wallpapers aesthetic all lovely in this tiny restaurant.CONS. Are restaurants out of their mind charging these exaggerated prices. $35+ per plate. I get it, I do understand it is Miami Beach and a tourist trap. Now to the food. The octopus was hard chewy and the plate itself had savory southern style potatoes, MX guacamole as well an octopus seasoned in a different style in total 3 ideas in 1 appetizer. Again, same thing happened with the brussels sprouts everything was great until you reached all the way to the bottom and again savory crispy brussels sprouts on top of baby food textured guacamole, why? Stop the madness guacamole is not Mediterranean. And make up your mind on which flavor road you're trying to attempt. Now let's get to the main course. The Bolognese was delicious as per my spouse's review. But my Fiocchi pear was under seasoned and mind you it had every single Garnish the chef had in the back of his kitchen. You had balsamic you had sun-dried tomato the basil the creaminess but zero seasoning. Desert was also over priced but average. I give this place one year before it's forgotten. Unless the owners have very deep pockets.

Hello my name is Irene Mendoza and i'm currently sitting down at Amalia Restaurant inside the Lennox Miami Beach Hotel (1900 Collins Ave Miami Beach, Fl 33139). I'm writing to you because i'm beyond disappointed on one of your servers (Antonio). he was very unprofessional and rude. We waited at least for 15 minutes before he came back to pick up the card to pay. He took our order and never came back to check if we needed anything else. I waited for at least 10 minutes before i tag him out to get me a refill of my orange juice which he didn't even stop he kept walking and said yeah, yeah, therefore i had enough and decided i would not order anything else meanwhile whole time i see him just standing while i'm trying to get his attention to order more stuff.

We were at a wine event in the convention center. This was a quick walk over and we decided to try it. The food was really good. My gnocchi were spot on and the other 3 diners really enjoyed their meals. The interior is super nice with a clean modern take on art deco interior using soft pinks and white; low key ambiance in the best way. Service was great and I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Our first night of our vacation landed us here for dinner, as it was a nice easy walk from our beachfront hotel. The restaurant is tucked up on a side street, and is a lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant. It is very clear why this place gets rave reviews. The restaurant inside was empty when we arrived so we felt like we were having this incredible private dining experience. The staff were very attentive ensuring we were well taken care of.There were five of us, so we ordered the bread, brussels sprouts and warm brie to start. The bread was interesting, it was a very small little round loaf of pull apart pieces. My husband who is a big bread person could have easily eaten half of it, if not the entire thing. I ordered the Pumpkin And Ricotta Ravioli, which was good. Ordered at the table was also the Mushroom Risotto, Porcini Ravioli, Grilled Branzino and my husband ordered a pasta dish with shrimp. He was a bit disappointed that there were only a couple of shrimp. The food was clearly made very fresh to order, which was wonderful. We enjoyed the meal and service very much... I think for me the disconnect is with the prices (e.g. $24 for a moderate amount of Brussels Sprouts) and the portions. Considering location, and everything else I totally get it but it still seemed a bit pricey for what landed on the table. While it was very good, it was not great... although the staff and ambiance certainly was.

Trying them for the first time, Amalia provided us with one of the most pleasant dining experiences since a long time in Miami Beach. The place is gorgeous, and the atmosphere charming. The staff greeting us with a smile and the kind-natured waitress were the icing on the cake. The food was exceptional. Amalia is a great place for locals because the prices are not so high that you will come less often. This place will become one of our regular favorites... They had the best Alfredo pasta I've ever had (small portion tho FYI). The fish and meat dishes were superb. The mushroom risotto was impeccable. I guess my only complaint would be that there is no complimentary bread during the forty-minute wait time for our party of 8. Coming from Europe and living on the Beach for the past twenty years, we are accustomed to having a basket of bread or something to help the wine slide down nicely while waiting for the meal. Paying for bread (even though its nominal) kind of rubs people the wrong way, ya know? ;-) But to conclude with this: Amelia is a gem that you should definitely try for a romantic evening or a night out with friends. XOXO Sandi

Came here on a whim after the door guy at Mila denied my wife entry for dinner at 6pm due to her wearing sandals...Valentino Sandals. Glad they did, because we ended up at Amalia on the patio, and had a wonderful experience! Our server, Melina, was super accommodating and friendly! We had the full Branzino, which was cooked perfectly, and Grandma's Gnocchi, which was light, yet flavorful. This dinner elsewhere would have likely been MUCH more expensive, so the value here is a bonus. Definitely a low key, quiet/romantic spot with great attention to detail throughout.

Though Amalia is on busy Collins Avenue it is recessed and somewhat hidden so it easy to pass but if you do go in you will most likely be impressed by the decor. The dining room is beautiful but often in great looking restaurants comfort is sacrificed for design but here the seats and banquettes are as well thought out and designed as the room itself. And the attention to detail goes beyond room decor as the flatware and dishes are better than most restaurants and there are even monogrammed napkins. However it seems like the micro-detailing stopped at the design because the menu is cliched and lacking any innovations - also there are no Specials of the Day and just the usual hotel dining room basics are featured. We opted for a few pasta dishes and the Mushroom Ravioli was very good and an Orecchiette was average. None of the food we had here was bad but there was nothing to swoon over but the comfortable surroundings elevate the rating from average to good and if anyone is looking for a respite from busy Miami Beach than this is a good place for a break.
