Delicious food - we all ordered something different:Blue Corn Chicken Taquitos, crunchy and full of meat; topped with yummy guacamole and salsa Blackbird Wrap, full of flavor from super fresh ingredients - sweet potato fries as a side were the perfect complement Shrimp Skewers - offered with your choice of sauces; grilled perfectly Fish & Chips - one of the best in the entire county Our server, Aiden, was attentive, engaging and offered spot-on suggestions

Great place to eat or have brunch with the family. This is my favorite wine and brunch spot. However, The waitresses sometimes wear short shorts, and have cleavage out. Which is a little uncomfortable for my children and very unprofessional. The manager doesn't handle situations well, he seems very young. He can be disrespectful without trying.I was there once my waitress was the oldest one working there maybe in her 50s and was wearing a yellow headband, this was about a month ago, I had to wait 55 minutes to receive my food and when it was ready a whole different person brought. I felt she was only there for the tips and every time I go I avoid her section. I also told her I was allergic to 1000 island, after the long wait my burger was drenched in it, I didn't eat because I didn't want to wait another hour. Which, can get them in a lot of trouble. As well as when I mentioned this situation, the manager didn't seem to care what so ever. Just to warn you the service isn't great, but it's beautiful and has good food. If you go try to get a nice lady named Shelby, she's the best worker I've met there.

I may be biased because I have only eaten here after a long hike when I'm famished. A meal here is actually something my husband and I look forward to. With that being said, we'd probably be regulars - hike or not - if we lived closer.It's a seat-yourself, casual establishment with a great outdoor patio, my preference. The parking lot has several spots, but if they are all taken, there's plenty of street parking as well. Now, on to the food -- the portions are generous and everything I've had has been delicious. A mound of crisp bacon on the BLTs; the juiciest of burgers with a patty that extends well beyond the bun; crispy fries - you can't ask for much more. Beers come in frosty mugs and water glasses are consistently refilled.The prices are a few dollars more per item than your average bar and grill, but I think the quality is worth it. We've also always had excellent, attentive service. So, even though this place started as a convenient stop post-hike, it's turned into a must-stop whenever we're nearby.

I recently started working in Alpine so I'm branching out and trying local spots for dinners. Last week my husband met me after work and we decided to try Alpine Tavern and Grill. Parking was a bit of an issue. The lot is small but we found parking on the street. When you walk in you are instantly transported to another place. The outside is unassuming . But the inside is quaint, reminded me of a Disney tavern. There's a tree growing in the middle? I order the blue cheese burger and it was so good! The onion rings were too. My husband had the patty melt which was huge. The service was great. The place seems small but it looked like there might be additional rooms in the back.

We always enjoy our time at the Tavern! Kevin, Julie, Shania's and Carmen are always on top of giving the BEST service! They care about what we need and want and adjust to our food favorites! They should get a raise!!

My wife and I went to get away after Christmas. The town of aAlpine is great. This place was amazing, the food was great and the beer was very cold. The bartenders were amazing and treated us great. I am in SD about every 4-6 weeks for work and will now make sure and stay in Alpine!!

Super fun place to grab a good bite. Iron Maiden and Christmas theme year round, yes, you read that correctly.

rustic ambiance with a country tavern feel. It seems like you may find a lumberjack or a cowboy here. Selection of beers on tap is good. Even the root beer is good. We enjoyed an enormous plate of delicious fish n chips with coleslaw and fries. Everything was very very delicious. Service was great. If you are going through Alpine, DEFINITELY have a drink and/or meal at the Alpine Tavern!!

Best wraps and sandwiches in Alpine and the sweet potato fries are delicious with the marmalade jam!
