Alpine Sausage Company

Being from Wisconsin, I'm always on the lookout for a good bratwurst. So, when I moved to Denver, CO, the hunt was on. I tried some here, tried some there, but haven't been impressed. Then, I found Alpine Sausage. It's off the beaten path in an industrial area of town in an unassuming small building, but the sausages pack a punch. Delicious! Family-run. Homemade. They can make you a sausage sandwich, but this is not a restaurant. It's a great place with great people making great sausage.

This can seem like a sketchier part of the city, but it is safe, just a bit industrial. I don't know the owner's name, but he is a young guy who knows his sausages. I have to say the inside of the establishment is almost starker than the outside, but his bangers, yak, and andouille sausages are the best, but my favorite is his Swiss wurst.I just decided I need to stop by there again today for another few pounds.

Due to the fact that we recently had a baby my family decided to come out to Colorado to spend Christmas with us. Being half German it was always our tradition to have sausages and pretzels on Christmas Eve. This is a tradition I will continue to celebrate for the rest of my life as I loooove sausages and pretzels. Back home in California our beloved Alpine Village supplies all that we need for our German feast so I was a bit apprehensive that I wouldn't find a business to provide me with authentic meats. My fear was for nothing though because Alpine sausage came through with excellent European sausage offerings. The owner is a Swiss fellow so you can definitely trust the authenticity. I like that they offer Weißwurst, even though I'm the only one in my family that likes this style of Wurst. He also recommended the cheddar jalapeño which ended up being a fan favorite among the family. All and all I will continue to come to Alpine Sausage and Alpine Sausage only for my European sausage needs. Thanks for helping me to keep my family tradition alive.

Always excellent service/quality. The sausages are probably the best in town, and the price/quality ratio is on point. It's a hole in the wall and looks closed, even when it's open, so be aware. Old school mom/pop shop that's cash only.

I'm obsessed. Being swiss-born, it's hard to find some legit Swiss/German sausages, but this place is the real deal. Fantastic selection of sausages that are made in-house, fresh, and are so delicious. Tossed some on my smoker, some on my grill, get a splash of mustard, and they sell a fantastic rye bread as well. Heaven.

Being a holiday weekend I figured what better time to throw some quality hot links on the BBQ. So I called up the Alpine Sausage Co. in search of some fresh links. Although they closed a 4pm and it was nearly that, the kind voice on the other end said come on down I'll wait for ya.Once inside we were delighted to see a menu of 15 or 20 sausages ranging from the Cajun varieties to several rare European types. The owner whom stayed late for us was very friendly and even gave us the nickel tour of the place. I thought to myself, you must be doing something right if you've been in business for 38 years. He quickly gathered our order and then offered some samples of his favorites, they were amazing so we asked for a couple sandwiches to go. Bottom line, if you enjoy quailty sausage, and love to suporrt local business then you'll love this place

BEST SAUSAGE EVER!!! It has great flavor, no fat chunks and is so moist, it is the best I have had anywhere! I tried 3 different kinds, and they were consistently delicious, each with their own flavor.

Great tasting sausage sold by the maker himself. Gave insight on preparing and serving. Place is small so don't miss it.
