Alla Vita

Alla Vita is just east of the West Loop. Parking on the street is usually available right after 6pm on weekdays. The restaurant is modern with lots of lights and greenery. Very comfortable and classy. Service is great! Food is delicious and priced as expected. I had pasta bolognese. The portion was just right.

We finally went to Alla Vita and I had to try their viral Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The other items on their menu were so tempting to order, but I had to stick with my curiosity! The sauce is very light, creamy, and decadent which complimented the perfectly al dente pasta. The most divine bites were the ones where the rigatoni was filled with the sauce, creating a flavor explosion in your mouth. I think if I got this again, I would love to ask a few cracks of pepper as I think it would make it perfect.My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was also very good! He loved it and ate it super quickly. The chicken was beautifully crisp and he especially complimented the cheese and sauce. The cheese encapsulated the chicken and made sure you always had a delicious bite. The sauce is on the sweeter side and I preferred the Alla Vodka's more but to each their own. But my favorite part was when you had a perfect bite with the basil leaf. Absolutely divine! The only downside was that it was two paillard chicken breast on the smaller side for $32. Very delicious, but would be more filling and worth the price with a small bed of pasta underneath.We ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it is absolutely a must have. The lady finger layers were filled with coffee and the flavor was potent and delicious. The main star is the mascarpone and I loved that the top layer had an extra amount. It was a great weight as it wrapped the lighter coffee and cake into a warm hug. Soooo good and I was basically licking my spoon. I did have minor caffeine jitters after though haha. It is $16 which is pretty pricy to me for a dessert, but it was completely worth it. The service was one of the best we have been to as they were extremely fast and always there when we needed them. We were seated in a really secluded area outside yet the staff still rotated to us constantly which is great. At a lot of places we've been to, we have a hard time getting the check or ordering since the staff don't come near us. Alla Vita has their food, staff system, and overall ambiance in check! Would love to come again and more of their delicious food.

Amazing food, service, and beautiful ambiance. We came here for lunch and did the pre fix special where you can get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $25 and everything was truly amazing.I tried the salad, rigatoni vodka, and the tiramisu and we also tried the chilled tomato watermelon soup, pesto pasta, and the hazelnut gelato and everything was phenomenal.Absolutely loved the salad and both pasta entrees! The hazelnut gelato is literally one of the best gelatos I've ever had. It was so creamy and delicious! Overall amazing and already planning our next visit back!

I came here while visiting Chicago and boy was it good!I got a pizza, kale salad, meatballs, and the tagliatelle. My friends got different pastas to share and the consistency for each was great. Service was very attentive, with waiters coming to check on us frequently. I would definitely come back if I am in the area!

AMAZING from start to finish! Nothing like fresh pasta. The Ambiance is so cozy & romantic. Great spot for a date night. Our server was very professional and genuinely seemed to love working there. We can't wait to visit again!

Great weekday lunch deal for $25. Got the chilled watermelon soup, vodka pasta and tiramisu. Great portion sizes and I took the pasta home. Fun to try a chilled soup as well when I normally wouldn't order that (very fresh tasting). Would recommend making a reservation because it's a pretty popular spot for lunch! Really nice interior and patio seating options. Waitress was super nice and attentive even though she had quite a few tables. Would plan for an hour and 15 min if going during the workday.

Amazing restaurant and service all around. The ambiance is gorgeous. We started out with the Alla Vita chopped salad which was wonderful and huge, great to share. For entrees we got the fennel sausage pizza and wood fired sea bream. We also asked for a kid portion of rigatoni which was a great size (after we saw how good it looked on other people's tables). For a side we got the crispy potatoes.Everything was delicious and would recommend all the dishes we got. We also celebrated a birthday and got the most amazing birthday cake ice cream on the house. Cannot wait to go back!!

I recently had dinner at Alla Vita with my family and I had a fantastic experience overall. The family-style menu was a highlight, allowing us to sample a variety of dishes.We started with the Tuna Crudo, which was mostly excellent, though a tad salty. For our main courses, we ordered two pizzas: the Sopressata and the Mushroom pizza. Both were delicious, but the Mushroom pizza, with its delightful truffle flavor, was my favorite. We also tried the Chicken Parm and the Rigatoni. The Rigatoni stood out with its creamy sauce, while the Chicken Parm was decent but a bit soggy compared to a previous visit.Dessert was a delightful tiramisu that was light and not overly sweet - a perfect ending to our meal.The ambiance at Alla Vita is modern and chic, making it an ideal spot for dinner with friends. However, it does get a bit loud, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter setting.Our waitress was friendly and offered great recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. The prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise for such a quality dining experience.Overall, Alla Vita is a great place to enjoy a variety of Italian dishes in a stylish setting. I'll definitely be back!

I'd recommend making a reservation if you'd like table seating. We grabbed a spot at the bar (full menu). I do love sitting at the bar and watching the bartenders craft cocktails. It felt like dinner and a show. I ordered gluten free noodles and they were the best GF noodles I've ever had. I truly couldn't tell a difference. The pasta sauce was the slightest bit spicy making it the perfect dish. Weird to say, but I loved the single stall bathrooms. I'd go back just for the bathrooms, but the decor and atmosphere make the experience of an upscale Italian restaurant.

THE SERVICE IS THE BEST IVE EXPERIENCED AT ANY RESTAURANT EVER!! Danielle is the sweetest and best server ever. The food is amazing and so well balanced. You have to try the restaurant bread and the rigatoni is so creamy and rich overall one of the best experiences out in Chicago. The drinks were well priced and great!!
