Alie Hibachi and Sushi is worth visiting, just based on their prices alone. I don't know of another place that has a cheaper lunch option in the area, and the food isn't all that bad either! Located not too far from the bustling Research Triangle Park, Alie is a great option for a quick and easy lunch. At face value, all of their hibachi lunches are under $10. They have your standard Hibachi fare, steak, shrimp, chicken, vegetables. But they also have some items that aren't commonly seen such as red snapper. All of their lunches come with either a soup or salad and some rice. The rice is okay, there's nothing too special about it. The hibachi is decent, always cooked well with good flavor. Once you drown everything in Yum Yum sauce, it's all you'd ever want! Their steak is cooked tender and their red snapper is surprisingly fresh tasting and flakey. I've also had their bento boxes, which is decent value. It comes with the soup/salad, rice, an appetizer, a couple of sushi and a hibachi. The sushi is quite basic, I got a spicy tuna roll and it definitely felt cheaper than high quality sushi. The shrimp tempura was great though, the batter wasn't too heavy and the tempura were hot and crunchy. Again, not the highest quality, but certainly affordable for all the food we got. By no means is Alie the best Japanese restaurant in the area. However, if you're looking for some bang for your buck then it's a great option for you!

Outstanding new one month old Japanese/Sushi restaurant. The staff, ownership, super friendly and helpful with suggestions. They're so thankful to have guests, and it really shows in the food.Whether you Dine In or Take Out, expect flavourful tastes in whatever you order. We had the Miso Soup, Combination Hibachi Steak & Chicken, and 2 Rolls (the Sexy Girl and the Dynamite). Everything was delicious. We absolutely for sure will be back. Thank you, Alie Hibachi & Sushi!

My second visit. This time for the sushi menu. They have a lunch special. In my case, my two rolls were $17. They were big!! Fish was excellent. The place was very clean. I hope the word gets out. It's a great restaurant. Great service. My wife and son ordered sushi for dinner. They loved it.

Good Hibachi Shrimp! I was happy to find this location and will visit again. The seating area was well-lit due to the window front. Front door is super heavy but I'm sure this is a temporary issue that will be fixed.

Bottom line: I've enjoyed both lunch and dinner at Alie Hibachi & Sushi. The Morrisville Roll, the Fresh Crunchy Roll, and the Hibachi Filet Mignon & Chicken were highlights on the visits. Sushi appears to be BOGO for all rolls offered. Dining there vs. take out logistics could possibly be tricky at very busy times inside. The Deets:I had been seeing buzz about Allie Hibachi & Sushi and finally went out there to find out more about it. It is located within McCrimmon Corners shopping center in Morrisville. Pro tip: the door can be hard to open especially with a wind around, so you may possibly have to give it a good pull to get it open as it can feel like it is locked. Upon entering, the space is open and bright as well as well decorated for in house eating as well as a nice ordering counter for take out also. The setup however can lead to confusion when coming in for eating at their restaurant vs. taking it home (I will touch upon that later). I have experienced meals both at lunch and at dinner so far. Lunch the day I went was not busy so I was easily spotted and asked if eating there or taking out, and I decided to eat there. Service at lunch was very nice...attentive and positive, answering any questions as well as getting what was needed. For my meal, I went with many things for lunch to try to get a sampling of a few things. I started off with sushi, ordering both the Morrisville Roll (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, red snapper, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado and crab meat, deep fried, fish egg on top, Fuji eel sauce) and the Red Dragon Roll (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, red snapper, white tuna, crab meat, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, inside w/ soybean paper). Allie offers BOGO sushi, even for their Recommended and Cooked rolls so that's the reason for getting both for my meal. I loved the Morrisville Roll as it had great flavor but the Red Dragon Roll did not satisfy taste wise as much I thought it would reading the ingredients...I might go with the American Dream Roll at some future visit. The Red Dragon Roll was OK, yes, but wasn't excellent for me like the Morrisville Roll was. For my main entree at lunch I went with Hibachi Filet Mignon lunch special, with a side of fried rice and a salad with ginger dressing. I enjoyed my hibachi with huge plentiful portion of fried rice (and very tasty rice I might add). The ginger dressing was enjoyable with the side salad. The meat portion was good, as you can go to some places and their hibachi is just a lot of veggies with a few meat pieces but that is certainly not the case here as there was plenty of meat serving to enjoy here for a lunch special. I came back for dinner later on in the week, and this time is where the setup inside lead to a bit of confusion. They were very busy that night for take out and had a lot of people around the counter, so when I came in there was no one greeting me this time...so after a bit, I took a seat hoping to be noticed soon. After a few minutes, a server did see I was seated with no menu or drinks and started the ordering process. This time for dinner I started with one of their Fresh Crunchy Roll (crab salad, avocado, crunch) and enjoyed it a lot. I also decided on the 4 Piece Dumpling Soup as well for a start, and the dumplings themselves were delicious but the soup taste itself was lacking a bit for me personally. For my dinner entree, I went with the Hibachi Filet Mignon & Chicken Combo with fried rice again and the salad with ginger dressing. Again the hibachi did not disappoint in the meat portion department, lots of meat in the serving size and tasted good as well. My server did well after the initial confusion at the start when I came in. I've enjoyed my visits so far to Alie exploring their menu for what I connect with or not, and I am looking forward to more visits ahead.

Alie Hibachi & Sushi is a new spot that has opened up in Morrisville. My mom and I stopped in for lunch and had a good experience. It was the hibachi chicken lunch special for me, the hibachi filet mignon lunch special for her and the spring rolls to split. I do not eat sushi but it is also an option. The service was great, the portions were filling and the food was delicious. I can't wait to return for lunch again soon.

This is regarding take-out only so far -Very generous portion sizes where I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food. We got a seafood udon soup, a chicken yaki udon and a hibachi entree. The seafood soup was full of red snapper, shrimp and scallop - and a lot of noodles - where I pretty much filled up two large bowls at home (where most restaurants when taking to go, I only fill up one bowl). The yaki udon may have been my least favorite because the base sauce didn't quite hit the right note for me (and when does udon ever take out right), but again, generous on the udon. I'd definitely come back and try again.

Went with a friend & enjoyed the soup, soda & large sake & steak hibachi. The waiter was nice but a tad forgetful of our order items & we had to ask for all of our items & a take out box. I asked for medium steak hibachi but it was quite well done. The portion size was nice of the meat. Less so the rice & not as flavorful as it could have been. Only a few pieces of broccoli & onions included in the hibachi presentation. Nice & clean inside. I did enjoy the authentic peach Japanese soda though you do have to follow instructions to open it. There's a cute glass bubble inside the glass bottle. I do particularly appreciate that there is a choice of bento box for children OR seniors! This is a practice I think all restaurants should adopt as many seniors desire smaller portions. I commend them for this practice!! I will be back again to try more items such as the sushi on Friday there are sushi specials. Convenient location & plenty of parking. Outside eating would be a nice option for owners to consider. Please give this local spot a

Food was good, service was ok (waiter forgot my drink and we had to ask for it, no offer for to go box for food I couldn't finish and I paid cash and when I paid he took my receipt which I had to ask for). It was a Friday night and not really busy. My friend said her steak was overcooked. It's an ok place if you just want to eat and are hungry. I was expecting more with it offering hibachi. My friend had a terrible time opening her Japanese soda and the server ended up having to do it for her. If you like this type of food and want fast food service, that is what you will get here.
