I wanted to see if I could purchase some pork belly to smoke on my grill. I walked into a very well laid out store, very clean and appealing.Looked over the cafe and saw some really great food being offered.I waited at the butcher counter for ten minutes waiting for one of the two clerks to ask me what I wanted to purchase. One kept sweeping up and going in and out of the area the other was cutting some meat on the ban saw.Neither took the time to ask what I wanted or even acknowledge my presence, or tell me they would get with me shortly.After ten minutes I left. There was another clerk wandering around the cafe area but even that clerk wasn't interested in asking me anything.Sorry to say, I doubt if I will return.

A great stop when I head from College Station to my ranch near Weimar, Texas. I cannot pass through Hempstead without stopping here for breakfast tacos and menudo. With Tejano music blaring through the grocery store and the sent of fresh baked good floating in the air, all to serve as a great backdrop to fantastic breakfast tacos. The food is located to the rear and right in this Latino market. The variety of entrees are visible in the cafeteria style set up.The barbacoa is moist and tender. Chicharrons and carnitas absolutely amazing. All great fillings for a variety of available tacos served on corn or flour tortillas. The menudo is well flavoured and very filling. The tripas has absorbed much of the chili and very good.Check out the butcher section, looks amazing.Highly recommended.

Love the beef fajita meat! Our favorite for grilling parties!! The chicken is also delicious as well!

Though I feel bad for the Hispanic community purchases here and uses the debit card, or the EBT card, the prices are extraordinarily ridiculously high. The food at the steam table is always on point and the ladies there are extra friendly

Lunch counter in a supermercado. No frills, just really good tacos, especially that chicken fajita/poblano/creme action. The price is right and there is a seating area. Get some.

Only place I'll buy pan dulce from and barbacoa, always hits the spot, service is good and fast.
