Al Sultan International Gourmet Market

I wanted to leave this review because I've thought about and missed al sultan often since I moved away. Amor, the owner, is the sweetest person ever-- always so friendly and willing to help. Not having explored Mediterranean food much before, his shop introduced me to a lot of new and exciting foods I've since grown to love and cook at home often. The tiny space is a careful curation of delicious and useful products, including a lot of ingredients and imports you wouldn't find at your local super store. I'd get produce at Lang's and pretty much everything else here, making it an ideal little corner.If you see this, thanks for everything and take care, Amor!

Check out this local Middle Eastern grocery shop. You'll find it open Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm. Very friendly and helpful owner. They stock the speciality grocery items you cannot find in your local Supermarket. Stop in on Monday's for fresh markouk (thin saj lavish bread).

Al sultan market very unique place. Owner mr.amor is very friendly and very talented person. Speaks French, Arabic and English also. I buy all my food from there. Couscous, Mediterranean sardines and tuna fish in can. Turkish cookies and halal food.

This is a cute little market with a variety of middle eastern staples including pita bread. It also has an interesting variety of chocolate and sweets. There's a nice selection of spice blends and a small section in the back with dairy and fresh meat- the homemade merguez sausage is delicious!The owner is really friendly and chatty and makes the store an inviting place to visit.

So glad to have this cute little Middle Eastern market in Passyunk. Delicious tahini, mostly a Lebanese focus.

This place is not closed!!! Visited Amor last evening to confirm he's still open and he is! Wonderful selection and service as always. Amor is always so welcoming and helpful. We are very lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood! Lots of yummy Mediterranean staples and plenty of vegetarian selections. You will not be disappointed! The quality of goods are WAYY better than a traditional grocery store!

I just discovered this place yesterday and already went back today. Fresh lamb every Tuesday, spiced olives, sheep and goat cheese, fresh pita every day, spices, European chocolates, the list goes on. The owner is extremely helpful and welcoming and I will be back often.
