My 2nd time here. As others said it is a hidden treasure. They have a very small parking lot but I've never had trouble getting a spot. There is also a good truck in the lot as well. I go for the taco Tuesday special. It is now $2.50 each. No issues there. It was a bargain at $2 before. I get the red Pastor and they were very flavorful with lots of meat. I highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong here.

Yo. This is the spot. Inside a dodgy bodega is a lunch counter putting out some unique incarnations of Al pastor. Black pastor, red, and green... they fill those tortillas generously like they are hooking you up. I'm not gunna try to sell you on this joint. There are only 5 seats.... So I don't want to hype this place up to the point that I can't get my fix cuz your sorry tuchus is hogging up all the real estate. I'm just sayin' this place is the real deal, you owe me one for this.

One of the best places to get tacos in San Diego. It's shared with a liquor store but you are welcome to dine inside at the counter or outside on the tables. I got a carne asada taco, an al pastor verde taco, and a fish taco. When I tell you they loaded the toppings, they packed as much as they could onto one tortilla. You order inside the store and then you get a ticket/receipt. Bring it to the cashier to pay! I recommend bringing cash because there is a charge for using your card. I will be enjoying their tacos again as it's convenient and gives me the best deal for tacos!

Al Pastor has an interesting set up. They are housed inside the Omelette Factory Santee, and they are opened from 4 pm to 9 pm Mondays through Saturdays.I was only going to have two tacos, the Al Pastor Rojo and Al Pastor Negro tasos, but the young lady who served me recommended the Cochinita Pibil Taco, which was a great recommendation because it was my favorite. I wish I knew her name, but thank you young lady. The cochinita pibil was terrific. The finely shredded pork meat was very delicious, tender, and juicy. Another words, it was finger licking good. It came with a bit of fresh habanero, so be careful, and with tasty crunchy pickled onions, and some micro green for garnish a top. It was a delicious taco and comes highly recommended. I would suggest that they double up on the corn tortilla on this one given the generous amount of pork and the natural juices that meat carries.I enjoyed both al pastor tacos. The red taco came with a very good amount of tender marinated pork meat. The marinade's flavor was milder than I have experience with other similar taco of this nature, yet it was good. The dollop of guacamole was tasty and lightly seasoned. The black al pastor taco or "recado negro," also known as al pastor negro was quite good. It's certainly a unique al pastor. The pork meat is intensely rubbed in blackened skin of a roasted chili pepper. The meat was tasty and flavor. This taco came topped with the same tasty ingredients as the aforementioned. All three tacos were $3.95. Oh yes, they make a variety of tasty house hot sauces, so ask to try them with tortillas chips and to add to your tacos. I do recommend they use or make their better quality corn tortilla chip.Nice friendly service!

Such a great spot!Ordered a carne asada quesadilla. Al pastor both rojo and verde. The tacos are huge. They give so much meat! Super juicy with great toppage of cilantro and avocado. Both sauces are unique and tasty. The quesadilla was very great too. Even better was the sauces. Really great. Could have been spicier but the dishes were in between authentic and California meaning they juiced up the flavors and added even more meat.

Food was delicious. Fresh and very flavourful with lots of herbs and zesty sauces -- without anything overpowering the other. Got the Al pastor verde (favorite), fish taco (next favorite) and al pastor negro (not my thing, turns out).

Don't let the modest exterior fool you. The variety of al pastor is palate-blowing!! Try them all. You won't be disappointed.
