Ambiance: Really nicely decorated interior space with a bar area, booths, and tables. Great date night spot or perfect for a family get together. The bar area was spacious and intimate feeling with tons of wines and an area to sit at the sushi bar. Loved the food - unique sushi roll choices and tons of appetizers/fried rice/entrees available. The plates came out beautifully as well. The main reason I am not giving more stars is because it took us about 30-40 minutes to get the check and pay out. Besides that, service was friendly and the space was clean. There is patio seating outside - however please note that the highway is very loud. Enjoyable food & sushi spot. I would not go if in a rush to order or pay out!

Great service and food. Had Uni as well which was incredible! The place had a decent crowd and vibe - good wine list!

Food is good here most of the time, but I swear they have the cheapest, flimsiest to go plastic ware I've ever used. I ask for extras just in case my fork breaks again. Their spoons are so cheap they bend in weird ways that are hard to use and they always forget to include soy sauce. I asked for extra soy sauce last time and they charged me like a dollar for that!!! I was like wtf!! This place must be really struggling or the owners are so cheap they are sacrificing in extra low quality products. Makes me wonder what corners they are cutting with my food!! I've gotten plastic ware from the dollar store that was so much better than this!!

I really like this restaurant. The atmosphere, bar and service are 5 star but tonight I had the crispy duck and it's 3 stars at best. Worst duck I've ever had at any restaurant. I'm giving 4 stars because everything else I've had has been very good. The sushi is 5 stars as is the curry chicken. Fried rice 3 stars but I'm not a big fried rice guy anyway. Definitely will be back just no duck.

Had to make a dash out to Sam's Club and get some of our staples and must haves for the house. Did not realize how hungry we were and the sushi at Sam's Club was not looking as good as Akashi. Sometimes you just have to get your Ahi tower fix! Ahi tower is a layer of sushi rice, the specialty crab they put in rolls, Ahi tuna, caviar, and special sauces Seriously delish

I wouldn't say that the sushi and other rolls are top notch but it definitely satisfies the craving for Japanese food just right. Their menu can be quite overwhelming at first due to its wide variety but it serves the Japanese comfort food my husband and I miss. The shrimp tempura dinner hits the spot and the value for money is 5 stars. Also, the service is great!

One of our favorite Sushi places in the Houston area. We have bragged about it so much our daughter and her husband drove across town from Friendswood for a date nite here! Have The a cowboy roll for beef on your sushi and something different. Creamy Rock Shrimp is the best appetizer. Generous portions and cuts of Sushi for Nigiri or Sashimi style. You won't be disappointed.

This was just a great day weather wise here in Texas so we decided on a different type of food . Today was this wonderful Japanese restaurant! Our waitress Irene has worked here for years and was so pleasant and quick to bring everything we needed to our table . The food was flavorful and large amounts that I took a to go box back with me . The interior had such a nice vibe as well . Will definitely recommend to others and I will be back again at some point when visiting Texas

There are certain things I can and cannot eat in Sushi Restaurants. Certain textures turn me off. However, I have idolized Sushi and how it's creatively prepared and wished I could indulge more. One, because sushi is a healthier choice. Two, it's a sophisticated order. I have only had it a few times sans raw...they say, because it was with smoked salmon. Ok. It was good, but the texture of the salmon was annoying, and I always picked it out. That said, I came to my Spot-Akashi, and I wanted something New. I kept asking about the sushi and was advised that I could customize it, but to what? The Bartender and Head connoisseur said to me: "I Got You." He customized me a roll, and I can't describe how AMAZING this roll was!!! Shiii...I wanted to order two more, but I said No; this experience is worth being excited for the next time!I can't tell you all what was in the roll exactly, but topping it off with caramelized sugar that resembled the cross between the top coat of Crème brûlée and a New Orleans-made Praline Candy was sure genius.Check out the Full Rimmed Side Car. The slice of Orange and Lemon citronella hit my nose before the drink was placed in front of me. They don't skimp on the naturally made mixers and dashes which is high on flavor and low on calories.
