Finally decided to check this place out after seeing many reviews and relatively good marketing and pictures. The building is kind of dumpy and doesn't really have any Mexican flair or charm to it (I think it used to be an Applebees so that makes sense). Service was good and friendly, we even had a new waitress but she was hard working and did a good job being so green.I'll cut right to it, the food was not good. It's very much pre-packaged and minimally prepared food. My wife got the Cochinita Pibil tacos and it the alleged pork meat was pasty and looked like canned tuna smeared onto some tortillas. It even kind of smelled and tasted like tuna, not appetizing at all, honestly offensive to all of the senses.I had the vaquero plate which is pictured. It looks ok but is mostly bland and once again, has the texture and consistency of something that has been warmed in a microwave or possibly boiled in a bag or something to that effect. The only thing half worth eating was the fajita meat in the taco Al carbon and even that wasn't great. Oh and the salsa is terrible too; that was actually the first thing that came out and as soon as i tried that ketchupy mess, I knew that we were in for a rough ride. I was right.Anyway, I guess this place fills a niche of low cost "Tex-Mex" but I would honestly go to any taco truck or taqueria, no matter how shady it looked before going back to Aguirres.The 2 stars is only because service was good (including the manager/supervisor when she noticed and overheard us talking about my wife's dish).First and last visit.

Ordered delivery from here and had some hits and misses. I had the seafood burrito, which was rich & decadent. I enjoyed it very much! My husband had the fish tacos, which he claimed to be some of the best fish he's ever had... But, the chips and salsa (our favorite staples when we order Tex-Mex) were a disaster. First of all, we paid extra for salsa and received a mere handful of tiny 2oz. dressing cups. Worst of all, the green salsa was spoiled - foul smelling, rancid tasting, with brown swirls marbled against the pale green. The entrees were great, but what a fail on the salsa. Still, we would try them again... Hoping it's better next time.

This restaurant is located in an old Applebees. This place has been here for approx 4 years. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating. Interior colors are bright and many.There is a bar area and separate seating area.Menu is to large with to many options. It's like the old saying "jack of all trades, master of none!"They actually could reduce the menu by 50% and there would still be to many options. I judge all Mexican Restaurants by the most simply of all dishes...chicken Flautus. And they didn't get this right at all.I am 95% sure these were frozen premade Flautus as they were very skinny and rolled very tight with not much chicken/fillings. Sorta like a fast food version.They did not appear to be hand rolled and fried as most other places that do hand roll and fry them which they are larger in diameter and have chicken and filling pouring out each end.Also no pico de gallo was served with the dish but they did give sour cream, Guacamole, lettuce. And I even asked if I could get a fresh chile (Serrano pepper or jalapeño) and the waitress didn't understand me and offered pickled or sautéed peppers and I told her never mind.But here is the odd thing, they did include 3 items I have never been given at any other Mexican restaurant when ordering flautus. in 3 plastic small clear to go cups they had on my plate white crumbled cheese, white melted cheese and diced tomato? Really odd...The one good thing for my meal was the charro beans, they were hot, seasoned well and tasted great.The other item we ordered was a fajita bowl and it too was really good.All in all not a bad experience. Pricing was fair and service was good overall, the staff was friendly and we did joke and talk with a few of the staff.

The staff was SO nice and appreciative of our business. I would go back just because the people were so friendly. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The queso was watery and to quote my 8 year old "tasted like nothing." The green sauce was good but the salsa was weird... more like tomato sauce. My kids liked their food though. My daughter had kids nachos and my son had the kids beef burrito. The amaretto margarita was also really good! We'd go again if we were in downtown Tomball because the staff was so wonderful but we won't be going out of our way to go back. I hope they can make some changes and improve their food!

Well, we figured we'd give it one more try well that was a waste of money and I hate to give bad reviews but they've earned it, we ordered fish tacos, and refried beans. What we received fish taco's Baracha beans, no sauce for the tacos that was it, and the waiter obviously he was a waste by of time , he obviously does not make a living getting tips he could care less so that's the end of this place
