Homemade tortillas have me sold. I've only had barbacoa tacos here and they're delicious. Well packed. The green salsa has the perfect amount of kick and flavor. Will be returning and recommending this restaurant.

Really good food, authentic flavor and definitely fresh, the place is a bit small but it has the "home" feeling, service is also outstanding.

Across from Klein high school on Stuebner Airline. I received a prompt, friendly greeting when I entered. If you judge a Mexican restaurant but it's chips and salsa you can skip this place. The chips were alright but the cup of sauce that came with them was a plain, nondescript disappointment. My cheese enchiladas were alright; not great, not bad. Three red tortillas with an acceptable amount of cheese filling, topped with chili gravy and more cheese. The rice and beans on the side were good. If you don't feel like supporting a chain Mexican restaurant and you are in the immediate area it is alright if for a quick bite.

The tacos are your best bet. The Quisada, beef fajita, and breakfast tacos are good and priced well. The plates are getting pricey.

Yes. Went here for breakfast Sunday morning at 7:10 and found it thanks to searching because the other taquerias open at 8 or closed Sunday.Wish I had found it sooner. It is tucked deep in the back of a strip center so trust your GPS.It is a small dining room, six tables or so and no frills as others say. But I checked the tile floor in the corners and it was very clean, and there was no dust on the few pieces of wall decor which I always check in hole in wall places. Everything was very clean including our table.THE FOOD.Homemade tortillas, like, really, flour with good texture and soft but strong with that amazing authentic taste you either know or you haven't had the pleasure yet.I had bean and bacon, barbacoa, and potato and egg.The bacon was perfect and a full strip on the taco and the beans were clearly homemade and hand mashed, the barbacoa was perfection in flavor, texture and a very generous portion. The cilantro and onion was chopped fine (i usually get big pieces at other places, same with onion) which made it even better texture wise.The potato and egg was good but did not particularly wow. Its hard to make that taco pop and i have found two places in Houston that do. THE SERVICE:On point. Prompt and friendly and we asked to meet owner/operator Miriam and she was delightful, even though they were busy making the menudo and caldo for the day. This is the best of small business and as often as possible we will be back for that amazing homemade, authentic no frills but delicious and fresh hit the spot food.Also, prices are very very modest, even in June of 2022 with the out of control inflation. Another reason to make your dollar stretch like your pants here haha but your tummy will thank you!

Amazing authentic Mexican food you could have in north Houston! The staff is so friendly and despite the language barrier was able to communicate effectively and give us exactly what we ordered. The chicken enchiladas and chicken quesadillas were delicious! The chef came out to greet us and we were able to tell her that the food was great which is awesome to do. Don't be fooled by the interior, this place is where it's at if you want great food for great prices!

So, I ordered a chorizo & potato taco and a steak taco for my breakfast this morning. The service was good and our server was lovely. But, they brought more than I ordered (an additional chorizo taco) and I have to say the chorizo potato taco wasn't so good. The chorizo was barely there.I did enjoy the steak and the service, but my tummy is having some turmoil. Unfortunately, I do not foresee myself going back. But, if I do... I certainly need to order what some of these other reviews are raving about. Maybe I just came on an off day and ordered the wrong tacos?

This is a hole in the wall / dive... Maybe 6 tables total... The feel is very "at moms house"... Service makes you feel like family.. food is homemade good.. barbacoa was spot on, chips and salsa are addicting... The menudo was very thin... As in too much water . And light in contents and flavor ( 6 out of 10 to me) . It is a little pricey but I would guess average for the area.Overall, I will come for a dinner, tasting a sample homemade tamale left me wanting more ( I ordered 30! )

Love the food but has gotten too expensive for this place. Prices went up about a year ago so had to say not with it now.Might as well go to pappisitos

Great place for breakfast tacos. We go the chorizo and egg. 5 tacos and a drink for $15. Small business!
