Damn.... where went the quality, the taste... etc... smh. This has to be the worst soul food restaurant, I've ever eaten at. I had collard greens that tasted like it was strait out of the can. Rice that was sticky, covered by gravy that had no flavor and rib tips that were not grilled but oven cooked and a corn muffin that was dry and unflavorful. That meal cost me $17 dollars, with a drink and I'm sad to say the best part of the meal was the lemonade/tea drink. Never again... The people in this community deserve better. My best advise for this location, is close the store for a while, get some cooking training, or use proven recipes that work. The food was disgusting and I will not be back until many changes have been made. To the readers of this post, please accept my apologies for my rant, but the truth hurts and I want this establishment to do well!! Thanks for reading

It's not a butcher shop--it's a meat & 3, and it's owned by legendary pro wrestler Abdullah the Butcher. Located at the west end of the West End Mall on Lee St., there's lots of free parking, and it's accessible by bus. If you're driving, it's three blocks off the Lee St. exit of 20. The food: The selection is HUGE. Want a Thanksgiving dinner in July? No problem. There's Fried chicken and roast chicken, ribs and chops, collard greens and mustard greens, mac n' cheese and mashed potatoes, and that's just the beginning. Servings are HUGE and the price is low. Quality is very good. Flavor is deep. Service is friendly and patient. The dining area is... unappealing. You may need to clean an empty table before sitting down, and the TV sometimes plays F*x N*ws. If you're looking for a massive plate of tasty soul food at a bargain price, check out Abdullah's.

Soooo.....we were headed to another soul food spot only to find they were closed on Monday. A guy in the parking lot suggested Abdullah's. First impression is it's inside an old food court, signage is old/dirty, and it's confusing. Once we started asking questions about items the staff was helpful. We got chopped chicken, dressing, smothered liver, rice and the following sides; mashed yams, cheese/broccoli casserole, turnip greens, cabbage, lima beans, and cornbread. We had two plates with meat and all vegetables plate. Price reasonable about $30Portions - Huge Flavor - tasty not the soul food but some good flavor!

Well ok I know the area is not the best but I'm not judging that-the price of a meat and two vegetables (9.00) sweet tea (2.00) I could have just went to Mary Macs which is nicer!!! The area was clean but needs an update and the staff truly could have been better-the dressing flavorful along with the corn and mac and cheese. The chicken was ok make sure to get the pieces that don't look dry. I'll just say that was my first visit on 3/19/2019 and that will be my last.

Soul food that gives that ole fashioned flavors as well choices kinda in a little uncomfortable spot but safe it's worthy of the price as the tray has so much food you can save the rest for later.
