I had high hopes for 92 chicken and they unfortunately fell short for me in some respects. I saw a social media post about the onion chicken and just had to try it out. The restaurant is clean and simple with TVs playing kpop. It wasn't too crowded when we went so service was quick. We ordered the sweet onion chicken, green onion soy garlic chicken, curly fries, and red spicy boneless chicken. Everything tasted fresh fried and came out with gloves to keep our hands clean. I was surprised to see that they did not offer complimentary water, and we had to buy bottles for $2 apiece instead. :/ The curly fries were delicious and crisp, not much to say about them! The sweet onion chicken was delicious! The onion-Mayo mix on top pairing perfectly with the crispy h Chicken. Super messy to eat but totally worth the indignity. All of their chicken was well fried and flavorful. However I wasn't as big a fan of their soy garlic or red spicy marinades. The soy garlic was too one-dimensionally salty and the red was candy-sweet. Overall I would probably get takeout from 92 chicken if I was craving the sweet onion chicken, but their other sauces aren't to my taste. The lack of free water is so strange for me, I don't think I've seen restaurants in America really do that. Well, as my mother would say, why buy it, we have water at home!

With 92 Chicken opening in place of Vit Goal, we were excited to try one of the newer Korean Fried Chicken spots in Durham. We got the Original Fried Chicken and Soy Garlic Chicken for takeout. The order and pickup process was smooth, and our food held up pretty decently after a 20 minute car ride back home. The Original Fried Chicken was crispy and juicy and probably our favorite. The Soy Garlic sauce was also delicious and didn't compromise the crispiness of the wings. While not the best chicken in the Triangle, 92 Chicken is certainly worth a try and is very authentic in terms of "Korean Fried Chicken!"

$40 out the door for 20 small chicken wings. We enjoyed the flavors but it was mostly breading, not much meat. The menu is mostly wings - wish there were some veggies!

This place has got to be one of my favorite places to go to in Durham for fried chicken. The place reminds me of Bonchon, which is another chain that sells Korean-style fried chickens. I couldn't make up my mind on whether to get the soy garlic chicken or the spicy garlic chicken so I ended up getting both. Lol. I ended up loving both! What I like about the establishment is that it is clean and the owners were friendly. I will definitely be back for more the next time I am back in town!

Came here on a Thursday night. There were several other occupied tables but generally free seating. Ambiance is casual - pick a table, grab your own napkins kind of place. Service was quick but also do it yourself style. As a lover of Korean fried chicken, I was not very impressed. Compared to other fried chicken joints, the chicken was small/dry, overpriced, and less flavorful. We got the sweet onion and the soy garlic. Much of the flavor came from the dressing of the sweet onion, but not the chicken itself. Each set was around $18-22, which is around $5 more expensive than other places nearby. However I will say, a friend of mine recommended the place and thought it was decent, so I may be biased!

92 Chicken is a cute, tucked-away restaurant with plenty of seating. The menu is diverse with lots of options, though it is not catered to a plant-based diet. Lots of soda options as well as several different flavored sake! The service was kind and fast. Smelled great. And the star of the show: the food. This is probably the best fried chicken I've had in Durham. Wings were meaty, moist, crunchy, and flavorful. The dumplings were delicious and I loved the tangy sauce they came with. I 100% recommend this place to any chicken wing lovers. I'll definitely be returning.

I wish I could give 92 Chicken more stars but it's sort of just adequate. I'm a fan of Korean fried chicken and wanted to see what 92 Chicken would be offering up. And it's solid but not exceptional. Up front, 92 Chicken sits in the old space that used to house Vit Goal. It's a smallish, run-down plaza but I'm good with that since you can find some hidden gems in places like this. Inside, 92 Chicken is pretty bare-bones with some chicken themed decor and a basic dining room with 2 and 4-tops. For sure the family running the business is Korean but I believe it's part of a chain.I order up some KFC drums and fries and it's solid but feels like just basic fried chicken with some commercial sauces on top. I think this business probably does a solid take-out, delivery option but for dine-in you can certainly do better. If you live in the hood, certainly stop on by but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again...

Come on. The wings were so tiny. $15.99 for ten baby wings is crazy. Pictures show larger wings, so hopefully this is a one time thing.
