7 Leguas Mexican Grill

The atmosphere is very nice. The service is above average. The food is very good and portioned well. The prices are reasonable and fair. I'm not one to rate five stars easily but this place is pretty close.

Oh my gosh this place is cute! Culture everywhere: servers dressed uniformly and professionally, decorated to the nines... even the restrooms, good Spanish music. Worth a visit just for the aesthetic! Frozen house margarita was delicious. Chips are a bit thick for me and salsa warm, but still yummy! I ordered flour chicken flautas and they were amazing. Active owner stopped by to make sure my experience was exceptional, and it was! Happy hour 11-6, SEVEN days a week, ALL DAY on Thursdays. This is a fun place to be!

The first things to note here is that the building is massive. There is plenty of parking and seating. We came by late evening after driving for a few hours coming home. I like the overall atmosphere of this place, I could see it being great for a sport viewing.The house margaritas we just mid. The salsa wasn't great either. The chicken flout as we ordered were really good and massive. The fajitas were seasoned well and had a good serving size. The second margarita we ordered we did with don Julio and frozen and it was much better.Service was decent, they were close to closing, so I feel like they were focused on cleaning and closing out.

This place has the biggest array of margaritas and drinks I think I've seen for a while! I love the coconut frozen margarita! We have been a hand full of times, and the servers are very committed but I tell you what-the staff who brings you chips and refills your water and clean the tables- is their shinning stars! They are quick to help and assist and sweet as can be. I give it 4 stars because the fajitas are not the best, they come out a little dry and over cooked, so they aren't my first choice if I'm after fajitas. But I order drinks to go quite often! Great tex mex for the college crowd for sure!

Tex-Mex all the way! Started with chips and salsa...chips are not fresh made but they are crispy and warm. Salsa is served warm and has some nice veggie chunks. I added extra salt and squeezed my lemon in it. I ordered the Tortuga Plate with chicken. It is avocado halves that have been breaded and deep fried and served on top of chicken and cheese. It comes with charro beans, rice, and pico. I added my rice to my beans and it was super yummy. The avocado was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Hubby ordered a chimichanga with rice and beans. The chimichanga was barely crispy. He said it needed to deep fry a couple more minutes to crisp up the exterior. Daughter ordered the chicken flauta plate. It also came with rice and beans. The flautas were a little crispy and slightly greasy. The chicken inside was moist. Lots of choices in this town for Tex-Mex and nothing stuck out as extraordinary so we may return but there are lots of others to try. Restrooms were clean and wait staff was very attentive.

So far this is my favorite enchilada rice and bean place - their cheese enchiladas are delicious . I deleted one star because of the " fabulosa" cleaning smell - it's just overpowering at some Mexican restaurants - this one included

We needed to get out of the house with all this cold weather and 7 Leguas was a great choice. We ordered Margaritas of course! I had a peach and my sister got a Skinny. It was very bright when we came in but the electricity went out. The atmosphere was very interesting! Our server was the best and so nice. Our second margaritas were Skinnys with a black rasberry shot. The restaurant handled the outage beautifully! E.

We were visiting Sam Houston State and found this place for dinner. What a pleasant surprise. The outside didn't look like much, but the food is authentic and the service is top notch. The Queza Birria was excellent and the fajitas were also. The fajitas had so much chicken, and plenty of onions and peppers too. The corn tortillas didn't break apart and they were served hot. Didn't try margaritas this trip, but the draft modelo was perfect with salt on the rim. The ambiance was family friendly. We hope to return!

Food is usually terrific and everyone is friendly. Best Charro beans in town. I just wish they were more senior friendly options on their menu. Also, last time I was pretty unsatisfied and they just ignored it. Pretty busy, though, So I understood. Still, don't ask if everything is all right at check out if the answer does not matter.

The food is mid, but the service and drinks are great! Definitely recommend the margarita tower.
