After researching Houston restaurants, we selected 51fifteen to celebrate my granddaughter's 21st birthday. We called two weeks in advance for a reservation party of 10 making sure we shared that this would be a birthday celebration. After being quite excited about the occasion and the restaurant, it went quickly downhill.Grandparents called from out of town to purchase appetizers for the table and were told they could not be accommodated. They mentioned it was a birthday party during the call. When we arrived at the restaurant I reminded the hostess it was a birthday however, the hostess seemed to be angry and made us feel like we were an inconvenience.Ordered a Caesar Salad that was sloppy, no croutons, just plain lettuce, nothing like the photos online. No one from my party found the food to be as nice or tasteful as pictured. The experience was not memorable. There was no recognition of the birthday, not even from the wait staff. The restaurant was not busy so that could not be an excuse for such lackluster service. No repeats or recommendations from me.

Dined here for my friend's birthday. The ambiance and private room was perfect. We had a 4-course meal. The appetizer was a crab cake and lamb chop. I'm from Maryland so I am biased. I have never had a Maryland Style crab cake outside of Maryland but it was decent. The lamb chop was tasty but it was the smallest lamb chop I have ever seen. Next I had the Caesar salad and I prefer mine with at least croutons. For entree I got the salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The sauce on the salmon was delicious and I enjoyed my entree the most. For dessert I had bread pudding but I was too stuffed to enjoy it. We had about 3 servers and they were very attentive. The drinks were tasty but on the sweeter side. All in all I would return to try other items on their menu the next time I am in Houston.

Was craving for Lobster Bisque and been wanting to try this place. Food and service were amazing. The piano performer was so nice! He played a Filipino song for me I didn't know they had brunch so this was a plus!! Definitely made it in our list.

HRW stop number 8 for me. This place was one of my first picks when the HRW list came out. Decided to treat myself to a nice brunch and it was a great experience. As I walked in I was greeted by three different hostesses. I was taken straight to my table with no wait and was given a table next to the window overlooking the galleria. My waiter Mario was very prompt and did an amazing job showing me the different menus and going into detail about their daily specials. I stayed with the HRW menu but did order the 51fifteen mojito. It was balanced very well and super refreshing. Right after I placed my order, I was brought what I thought was a bread basket and butter but in fact it was blueberry muffins. Freshly baked and delicious. My first dish was the house salad that was mixed greens, mangos, strawberrys, blueberry's covered with a basil cilantro lime dressing and just a little parmesan cheese on top. Everything tasted so fresh and the overall salad felt light when I was done. My main course was the 6oz New York strip steak and eggs. This coke with gratin scallop potato's and crispy onion rings. I was asked how I wanted my steak and I requested medium. My steak was cooked perfect. The eggs were a very good portion size but did lack flavor. The potato's were amazing and the flavor was spot on. The crispy onion rings provide a nice texture change to the dish. The fine course was desert and I picked the Nutella strawberry banana crêpe. Again the fruit was fresh and of course you can never go wrong with Nutella. My only complaint is there could have been more Nutella. Overall it was a great brunch. Everything was top notch from the service, food, ambience and the pianist taking request. I'm looking forward to coming back!

The space and the service was stellar. Everyone was friendly, even the pianist (love live music). The food though, was just average.I'm glad that I was able to partake in the Houston Restaurant Weeks to try this restaurant, but nothing really blew me away.I appreciated the complimentary bread with a sweet buttercream. And the plating was all pretty nice as seen in the photos. For appetizer I tried the lobster bisque - very creamy and the tomato & cucumber gazpacho with shrimp - wasn't bad but just okay. For main, I had the grilled salmon - loved that it was topped with crab and blood orange. Probably my favorite thing I had here. I also had the 6oz sliced Manhattan New York strip - a bit disappointed with it as it tasted a little old. And then ended with very okay desserts. As a big dessert fan, I was pretty sad that the key lime pie tasted artificial and the crust didn't taste good. The bread pudding was a little better but still nothing too special. Nothing that I couldn't finish but I had higher expectations.I contemplated whether this should be a 3 or 4 star review with the great service, but I would say that the food should be the top priority so I settled with 3 stars. With no expectations and a cheaper price point, I would give this restaurant 4 stars.

Though inside Saks Fifth, the restaurant didn't give the vibe of a mall restaurant. It's very spacious, nicely decorated and a great place to catch up with friends or have a casual date. I met my bestie here for HRW on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Definitely make sure you make a resy. Pretty loud with all the people and the piano playing but we still enjoyed ourselves. The food was good but it took an hour for us to receive our main course. I get they were busy, but all the tables around us were sat after we ordered and were served their entree before we got ours, so that was pretty frustrating. The server was very kind and checked often to see what the issue was. Overall I'd try it out again at a less busy time after restaurant week.

I've been to 51fifteen twice now, once for restaurant week and this most recent time was sponsored by an organization I'm apart of. Valet parking is available for $10, which I usually do since it's convenient and to avoid the hassle of finding parking in the mall garage. The service at this restaurant is has been great the two times I've been. On my most recent experience, we were met with red and white wine options on arrival which was a cute touch. For our starter we had a sample of the crab cake and a lamb chop (cooked medium). I really liked the flavor of the crab cake, savory for sure. The lamb chop was just okay, although it's topped with a spread of onions and green onions (maybe chimichuri sauce, our menu didn't specify) it still seemed to lack flavor. Next I ordered the caesar salad which I really enjoyed the freshness and fresh parmasean. For my meal I ordered the 8 oz fillet (medium) which was topped with herb butter and came with asparagus and a side of mash potatoes. Very decent. The filet was cooked well and butter added a nice touch of seasoning that wasn't too overpowering. For desert I ordered the Godiva chocolate cake which looks so pretty on presentation, though the cake itself tasted dry in my opinion. Again, I do think the service here is always up to par, however when I've dined here the food just hasn't been much to rave about. I also included deserts from restaurants week in the pictures (bread pudding and sorbet).

Came here to Saks fifth Avenue while shopping at The Galleria. And decided to try this bar that was cute and bougie vibes! I did not eat food but they had so much good looking food options. The drinks were really good with a lot of flavor! I ordered the Tuscan Rosemary Pear Martnini. It was very delicious and made to perfection! The service was good with a nice ambiance! I recommend here if you want a bite to eat a good drink or a break from shopping.
