I came here with my family of 5 one night. We got seated at a high top and we had a really excellent and attentive server. Great service and really good cocktails. Looks like the menu offered a lot of options, so it was hard to choose something to try. Our table started off with some appetizers - Korean BBQ fried cauliflower and soft pretzels. The Korean bbq fried cauliflower tasted amazing first bite, but my only complaint is maybe wished they didn't drown it with too much sauce. After eating just one I couldn't eat any more because the sauce became over powering. But don't let it prevent you from trying, just tell the server you want either sauce on the side or easy on the side because it is an overall good appetizer. Soft pretzel was what you expected, but the pairing of chili crunch butter...yum! I did want a little more of that chili crunch to come through, but it was still a decadent butter. My sister and I ended up sharing the braised mushroom pasta and OMG! This pasta was so creamy and rich. It has a touch of truffle and that was perfect, it was the right amount of richness. It was a cold, rainy night when we came in so I wanted a dish that would warm the soul and this was it! A dish that is definitely a must try if you are a mushroom lover like me. My fiancé and my brother in law each got a cheeseburger because that was what they were craving that night and the reason we chose this restaurant. My fiancé said his burger was just alright because the burger just kept falling apart and it was messy. My daughter tried the BLT sandwich that came with chips. I also tried a bite of her sandwich and we both thought it was okay. Instead of your typical bacon on a BLT, they used pork belly. I appreciate what they were trying to do because we love a good pork belly, but it was dry and it just made the sandwich I portioned and had everything fall out after you bit it. The potato chips were super crispy and you can tell made in house though. Some foods were a hit and some were a miss, but the cocktails were really enjoyable. I had a warm winter spritz and it was pretty tasty. The boys had an old fashion and my sister had Pomegranite mule, which that was the best drink of the night. It was refreshing and had a nice amount of kick of the ginger beer.

Came here for lunch on a weekday near the holidays and was able to easily be seated. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Interior is freshly renovated with an airy, casual, yet chic feel. They have a diverse menu of Americana favorites for all appetite sizes. I opted for their Ranch Chicken Salad Wrap with crispy chicken and house-fried chips. It was a perfect lunch, hearty without feeling so stuffed. Parking: major plus here - they have a private lot with lots of spots! So rare in this area.

Came for dinner on a Friday night with no rez and had no issue getting a seat. It's a newly opened restaurant in the former Berryhill space. ++ they have their own parking lot! We shared some apps, the sauce on that chili shrimp was amazing. My entree was the grilled flank steak-- came with a teeny baked potato and green beans. Everything was seasoned well, that was my big takeaway from this mealI got the margarita flight which tbh was underpriced but shhhhh. Great 4 mini margs. Mark the manager was awesome! I asked to leave my car there to go to Lights in The Heights and they were cool about it. The only thing I have to really say say is the ambience is missing something. Something about the lighting or the music I don't know I couldn't put my finger on it. Food and service were great but the vibes were off~

Really cute, family friendly, group friendly place in the Heights! Highly recommend checking this place out whether it be for lunch or dinner.I personally went during lunch and was able to get seated right away and it was very quick if you were looking for a quick lunch spot. I highly recommend the mushroom burger with the jam!Isaiah is excellent! He was very attentive, informative, and an all-around great waiter.Cons: i'd probably skip the fries, I did not feel like they were best and would skip the crab fritters, they were pretty tasteless.Parking: they have their own private lot. Seating: You can sit in the bar area, or get a table.Overall, I would recommend recommend and would return!

Sat at the bar on a Saturday night since it was a 45 minute wait at 7pm. We had to get the bartenders attention to order drinks and food. Noticed unless you were white they addressed you faster, more attentive and checked in. Got the following itemsWait time for meals: 28 minutes and handed the plate to my husband to give to me instead of it being placed in front of me. Mushroom pasta This was good. Flavors were on point and a perfect proportion Side of the baked potato: this was creamy and soft with great flavors Muscles This dish was very flavorful. Had to ask 3 different servers for the bread that comes with the muscles. After 10 minutes passed we got the bread. Overall Food 5/5Service 1/5 Cleanliness 5/5

Cute place for a lunch or brunch with the girls or fam! Parking is easy (a win for the area!). The wait staff was very professional and attentive. The food was delish and they had an option to suit whatever appetite. I got a chopped chicked salad. It was good but could have been a little more hearty for the price. My bestie had the salmon eggs Benedict. It was hearty and delicious. The carafe of mimosa was a hit at the table as well! Overall had a great experience and will be back!

Came to this new establishment to get out of the rain last night after work. I had the pork burnt end tacos. All I can say is they were the cat's meow! Absolutely delicious. Also, service was top tier. Nancy and Kait I think? I had so many questions on the menu and on the restaurant itself, they filled me in on everything top to bottom. As a new resident to Houston, I felt welcomed and loved. I've been in the industry in 5 different cities in the last 16 years. This place knows what they're doing. Congrats

This seems like such a cool place on the outside. Maybe the bar is good, but the food is definitely not. The lemonade was great, and the pretzel bites were alright. The grilled butternut squash was really undercooked, which is great if you want raw squash. And a bowl of arugula. The burger had no seasonings whatsoever, but the fries were acceptable. The grilled chicken sandwich was so covered in debris from the grill, it was though they had never ever cleaned it before. I was literally picking burnt black pieces from my teeth for a few minutes from just one bite. The green beans are labeled as "blistered," but they are just covered in the same burnt grill residue and only taste of that residue. The macaroni tasted like they flavored it with yellow tap water. The cornbread had the consistency of a fruitcake that was a comedic relief bit on an old Christmas movie. Truly abhorrent.I was so sincerely disappointed in this place that I didn't even look at the bathrooms to see about accessibility. The dining area is accessible.

We opted to change our Friday family dinner spot and were thrilled with our choice of 1891 Eatery & Bar. The food was delicious, and they offer an impressive happy hour menu. We tried the Korean BBQ cauliflower, which was outstanding, and the crab fritters had great flavor with a kick. For my main course, I had the salmon salad, which was a generous portion with well-balanced flavors. I would definitely order it again. My husband opted for the classic cheeseburger and added jalapeños, which he enjoyed. Our kids had chicken fingers and mac and cheese and finished their plates, which is always a good sign. We were too hungry to take pictures of the food, but our server was attentive, and there was ample parking. We will certainly return!
