1820 Coffee House

Decided to venture out a bit to try out this independent coffee shop and pleased to say very impressed. Nice wide selection of different flavors for your coffees and glad to know they offer sugar-free options as well. I picked the sugar-free French vanilla cold brew and the wife picked a honey lavender iced latte. We both enjoyed our drinks and will come back in the future if we are in town.

I always enjoy this spot. I really appreciate all the space in the dining area -- it is cozy and comfy and nothing feels tight. Always good coffee and paninis are always crispy and warm. Good folks own it and good folks work there. I work a lot so my wife goes much more than I do. But on my mornings off it makes a great breakfast date. Thanks Jake and Dorian for making a great place here in Alvin.

From the time you enter until you leave, you experience hospitality and community in addition to a fantastic selection of coffee, tea, sweets and paninis. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable with artwork adorning the walls by local artist J. Howard. Definitely worth a stop!

Great little coffee shop, has to be the best in Alvin. The staff are friendly and the coffee is great. I stopped in for a coffee and ended up ordering a breakfast sandwich as well. They have some nice, quick, breakfast items either to go or dine in. There's plenty of seating/tables, nice couches and lounge area, and an area that can be reserved for groups. Stop in and check it out, I was pleasantly surprised!

Ordered an Almond Joy Latte and a coffee, latte comes with two shots of espresso, but asked for 1 shot and for the second one to be added to the coffee because it was paid for anyway. Was told "no, but we can take a shot away from the latte and charge you for the shot in the coffee". Why would I pay for an espresso shot twice and only get one? Seemed like an easy asked but the computer did not allow for those type of changes so I guess common sense doesn't kick in to make the customer happy for what they paid for already.

The staff (young college boys) were very friendly and attentive. I ordered a large water and a cinnamon roll - good but a bit too sweet and tasted store bought. Overall not the best looker, but the servers were kind so 3 stars (:

Happened to stumble upon this place when a friend and I were in the area. Friendly staff. Clean. My friend and I both got coffees and really enjoyed them. I also ordered the jalapeño popper panini to see if their food was any good. My friend and I both were obsessed. SO GOOD. I can't believe it was made by a coffee shop. I also liked that there were board games for those who just wanted to hang out. Very homey feeling. Will definitely be going back.

Good coffee, delicious bakery and superb friendly service. I found my new favorite cafe until recently they told me they would no longer make my 16 ounces latte flat white. They informe me they would only sell me a 12 ounces latte flat white. This was a turnoff. This means I would have to get my 16 ounces latte at Starbucks.

Not friendly at all. Gave this place a few chances but I've had it. I'd rather go somewhere else and spend $5 on coffee or make it at home.

1820 is my favorite coffee place since I moved to Alvin except when i placed my order today I also gave the lady's $40 cash to distribute treats to everyone there at the time (Pay It Forward) waiting for my I decided to order a sandwich many were leaving and still they did not give out the items I've done this before.. makes me wonder if they ever dispersed my PIF.. I'm truly disappointed
