Zzan Sushi & Soju - Downtown

it was my first time trying this spot and i was actually kind of blown away. to begin with, the restaurant is a vibe on the inside: dim lights, neon tastefully added throughout. it was pretty empty inside, which i prefer to the bustle. the waiter who attended us was very kind and attentive. now, for the real star of the show: THE FOOD. we both ordered the regular sushi special. it comes with 6 sashimi pieces, 4 nigiri pieces, and your choice of a house special roll. i ordered the play boy roll. everything was DELICIOUS and about $40. so much delicious food and everything was so fresh, even the presentation of the dish was outstanding. can't wait to come back!!

I'm quite happy they opened another location downtown and it definitely matches the decor and ambiance of the Convoy location. It's a darker interior with k-pop playing on the TVs. I've actually come here twice, once for lunch before their soft opening where they didn't have their full menu yet, and second for a late dinner in which I'm basing this review on. As soon as we walked in we were promptly greeted and sat down and all service that evening was great, although about 3 different people were checking in with us and wasn't sure who our main server was. The menu is pretty extensive with lots of Korean and sushi options along with sake & soju. This trip we just ordered sushi rolls which were nicely plated and the fish was pretty good. It's a little on the pricier side but then again it's downtown and on par with other restaurants, each of the rolls I got were $17. I'm really liking this spot and it's right next to the trolley which can be convenient.

This is a new location that opened up in gaslamp right across from house of blues. We were seated right away on a Saturday around 7pm and the service was great. The menu has lots of food options to choose from ranging from sushi rolls to Korean food. They were playing throwback Kpop music which added to the experience with the fun LED lights and decoration. We ordered a large soju cocktail which was a little small, a large cocktail is good for a shot for a group of 5 people. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely come back!

Great vibe and atmosphere along with a wide selection on the menu! Staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend!

We found this place near our hotel. The place opened 2 months ago and it seems like they're still working the bugs out. The place is very hip with K-pop music playing and video screens displaying sweet drink preparations. The food overall was very good but not great. My Kalbi ribs were a bit on the oily and tough side. My mom really enjoyed her seafood hot pot. My wife wasn't thrilled about her bulgogi japchae although I thought the bulgogi tasted great. The portion sizes were generous. The server was a young man and nice but not very experienced. Everyone left satisfied.

Not only is the quality amazing and the menu extensive but they have the best prices I love it here!

I previously had the bulgogi Japchae and gyoza which were very delicious and came out quickly! I'm excited to see the offer cheese buldak also, definitely trying that next.

they need better music they don't play the same music and videos as the other location. they don't have the button that allows for you to call the waiters to limit the wait dosent feel as authentic.

Great fresh tasting ingredients, especially the ginger that was the best ginger I have tasted.
