We ate here for dinner and brunch while staying at the resort and I had a good experience both times. Our dinner server was Cru and he was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly kind and offered us so much info on everything from the menu to some of things we should explore while in town. For dinner we had the chicken sandwich and a burger. Both came out fresh and were really good. I added on an empanada and that ended up being the best thing I had eaten here. It was crispy and full of beef. It was served with a side of chimichurri. It was delicious!! We finished our meal with a brookie. It was like this hot out of the oven brownie topped with a scoop of ice cream. It was amazing! For breakfast my husband had the fried rice, and I ordered the omelette and the buttermilk pancakes. My husband really enjoyed the rice and both of my dishes were good but the omelette did not have enough bacon, it was primarily filled with large chopped onions and peppers.

Valley Ho has a restaurant called ZuZu so we made reservations at 6 pm. We were seated but we were the only ones there and we started getting a little scared but , the flashback to the 60s decor was really cool . The staff were very friendly and polite and we ordered a couple dirty martini's. After looking over the menu there there was an item called "Chef Roulette", and it comes with 5 courses, but the kicker is you don't know is what they are.. The chef chooses the courses and the items are not on the menu!!! So we gambled, and the gamble payed off.. Started with steak and tuna tar tar covered in a clear glass filled with mesquite smoke, it was really good but the star was the Sazerac shot that paired perfectly with it. Everything they brought out was delicious and we were surprised and savored every bite. The best dishes was a filet that sat on a blue cheese fondue sauce with asparagus tips. The desert was really creative with a house made inside out marshmallow encrusted with gram cracker and surprise scoop of ice cream in the middle. You toast the marshmallow over a small flame, it was delicious! The chef came out and greeted us, and I have to tell you it was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life... The price was on the high end, but it's one in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend it!

Very cute restaurant and overall great experience.Docked one star for speed of service. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but drinks took a very long time to arrive and we had to ask a couple of times for a kids menu.Atmosphere: cute and clean dining area, not too loud, could easily hold a full group conversation at our table of 12, clean bathroomsFood/menu: there is a happy hour menu, we tried the wings and the empanadas and both were phenomenal (probably better than our actual meals)The kids menu is very basic: chicken tenders, Mac n cheese, etc. based on the regular menu, some additional kids options would have been nice. We ended up ordering off the regular menu for our child who wanted a seafood option. The dinner menu has a nice variety, allergy options are listed. All of the food is plated beautifully. All of the dishes we tried were very good, but the main courses were lacking flavor, especially the scallops. The desserts are very fun, and very large. Definitely meant for sharing!

My new all time favorite brunch in Scottsdale. Food is incredible you cannot go wrong. Seriously everything is amazing and the staff was SO KIND and attentive. Definitely on the slightly pricier side (for example a side of 3 slices of bacon is $9), but it's soooo worth it. I love it!!!! Will definitely be back

I love this place, and this morning's experience took it up another notch. I'll start by saying I'm a bit of a pancake snob. If I'm going to order a pancake for breakfast, it has to be the perfect consistency of fluffiness. Well, Cafe Zuzu has this perfected! Every time I come here to enjoy a staycation, I start my day with the buttermilk pancakes and a side fluffy scrambled egg. They just do everything fluff well! And, my bartender Andy this morning, was kind, accommodating, hardworking, and fully attentive. Every detail was attended to from my not-too-sweet iced mocha latte to my breakfast and details about my ongoing at the hotel and pool today. I will definitely keep coming back!

We stayed at the Valley Ho to attend the wedding of some great friends of ours. Because I am lazy and we didn't rent a car, I am always cool hanging out at the hotel bar and restaurant for the most par. Most times I don't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service and food at ZuZu, so much that this was the only place The Doctor and I ate at while in town.As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, ZuZu is an extension of the Valley Ho's Mid-Century look. The indoor décor is lovely as well as the outdoor area...absolutely wonderful, with plenty of umbrellas to keep the sun off of us, even though it was not that warm. For the most part, every meal we had there was great, and the service was excellent. There were not many times where I got to fill my own flute with bubbles, which I am used to doing. I can speak with authority that breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all worthwhile. Some of the dishes for dinner are very eclectic, going from Mexican to Iceland to Asia.I am sure that there are other places to eat in Scottsdale, but as this was my first time here, this would be my go to place if we travel back here.

Not a great experience at all. We came for my cousin's bachelorette brunch. Our server was extremely slow. She forgot to put in the French toast we ordered. Waters and drinks were not filled even though asked for water. It was so hot and we were on the patio, without water or misters. The food was delicious though. At our table we had a poke bowls, garlic fries, chilequiles, and a breakfast burrito. For Drinks we had the Scottsdale, the Tropical Inferno, sparkling rose, and a mimosa. Everything was delicious except the Tropical Inferno. The Tropical Inferno would have been amazing without the demerara. It over powered everything else in the drink. Maybe the server was having a bad day. I would try it again because the food was actually very good.

While staying at Valley Ho for a week we enjoyed a few meals from Zuzu. Service was great friendly staff two that went out of their way for a great experience was Spencer and Chandler. Nice airy patio with shade umbrellas if needed. We shared the breakfast burrito one morning not sure how one person could eat this massive burrito. It was delicious stuffed full of steak, eggs, hashbrowns, covered in a delicious chipotle sauce. The salmon was also amazing served on black rice.

Stopped in for a post dinner cocktail and something sweet and was not disappointed. I tried the VH Espresso martini and the Brookie. They were both a perfect night cap. The bartenders were prompt and friendly. We took a walk around the property and look forward to a future dinner.

I went here for lunch for my birthday with my sister. We arrived around 15 minutes early for our reservation because we decided to Uber at the last minute but we were still seated promptly. The staff at the front were nice and the decor is super cute. The waitress was nice and had a great sense of humor. What we ordered: special potato latke burger w/salad, garlic Parmesan fries, carne asada breakfast burrito, blackberry bourbon mule drink (cannot remember the name lol), the for u drink, and lemon pie. The burger and those garlic parmesan fries were the stars of the show! They were absolutely delicious and left me wishing I would have ordered the burger. The burrito was not hot and I didn't care for the red sauce on it. The steak, eggs, and tater tots inside were good though. It just felt underwhelming seasoned especially when compared to the bite of burger I had. It was a good size portion. Avocado is $2 extra but they give you a good amount and it was really great quality. I will say, I had half left over and warmed it up at home in the air fryer the next day and maybe it needed to sit and collect flavor or something because it was wayyyy better the following day reheated. The for u drink is delicious! The blackberry bourbon drink was just ok. I originally was going to get the showstopper shake but the waitress told me that it was kind of sweet and everything just tastes too sweet to me these days so I settled on the lemon pie. I was excited about the lemon pie because I LOVE lemon desserts but it was prettier than it tasted. It wasn't as tart as I thought it would be, it was more on the sweet side. The waitress was gracious enough to bring me ice cream to help balance it out, which is did so kudos to her! It's a cute little place inside of a hotel with good food. Can't beat that. I'd come back.
