Zookz Sandwiches

It's not often you come across a restaurant that has found a way to be truly innovative. Zookz seems to have invented the perfectly portable hot sandwich. Perhaps they use a Texas Toaster or some such device? I dunno but they are really wonderful, if a little overpriced. (just under $10 for a breakfast sammie)I had the No 22 breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed it. They were generous with the ingredients, nice big hunk of avocado in there. The crust/bread is nicely toasted with a wonderful crunch to it.Next time I'm in Phoenix I will be back for more!p.s. Too bad they don't have a drive-up, it would be perfect for this!

After eying Zookz since they opened, I finally decided to pop in and check it out. It was close to 2pm on a Friday and I was hungry for lunch...I looked at the menu and decided to go with No 20, and I was not disappointed. I did not realize that they mix all the ingredients together inside the sandwich until I took my first bite, but was pleasantly surprised! Each bite included the turkey, bacon, cheddar, avocado and sweet heat mustard sauce. And, of course, the bread was perfectly toasted and so delicious!I went with the kale salad as my side, but admittedly, got distracted and did not get to try it. I will have to return to do so next visit, which will likely be for breakfast as No 88 is calling my name:No. 88 (VEGETARIAN)2 egg white frittata, parmesan, kale (tossed with carrots), tomatoes, avocado, and zookz zinger cream cheese sauce. I love that this is a fast, casual concept, conveniently located, with friendly service, moderate prices, inside / outside seating, and plenty of parking. That being said, this parking lot does get crowded at prime time lunch hours. Beware and enjoy!

Zookz is absolutely amazing and underrated!! I wish they would open a location in Gilbert because I love their sandwiches so much! At first glance you think it won't fill you up, but I get full after half a sandwich! Lately I've been obsessed with their Zookz burger! Luckily I work close by so I can get their sandwiches for lunch often. The staff is always super friendly!! The place is very clean! The sandwiches always taste super fresh too! Definitely a returning customer! Keep it up guys

I tried Zookz for the first time yesterday. This location is right beside Hava Java with free parking in the strip mall parking lot. I was greeted right away and the menu was even explained to me- they offer breakfast all day and #20 and #26 are the most popular sandwiches. Very friendly service! I ordered the #20, turkey, bacon, avocado and tomatoes. It came with a side- I chose kale salad. My meal was made fresh and came out in under 5 minutes. The portion size was just perfect. Sandwiches can be messy to eat while in the car but not this one- they even serve it on a paper plate and it is easily held without everything falling out. It was pressed perfectly and was so tasty. The kale salad was fresh and delish. This will become a regular stop.

A very unique sandwich that is absolutely delicious. It reminds me of an uncrustable but much much better. Ordered No. 10 which is practically a cranberry salad in a sandwich. Very fulfilling for lunch. The potato salad on the side was delicious as well, it reminds me of Korean Potato Salad. Overall, would definitely come back again. And again. And again. Would try the whole menu honestly. Definitely a must try for anyone!

Food is yummy the portions of the sandwich things are a bit small for price but still very tasty

First time trying and I will go again. I had the number 68 chorizo eggs and potato's this was so flavorful. I will the eggs were a little less cooked so the yolk ran more but it was a great sandwich. The chorizo wasn't greasy or overly spicy just enough avocado. The potatoes were so good. They were nice and toasted. My son felt that they were a bit on the small side for the price. I thought it was a good size.

I dragged my friend Travis out to take me to get sandwiches. Not just any regular sandwich though--if you've ever been to an Obon Dance (on Kaua'i) they serve these things called flying saucers. It's kind of like an uncrustable with cheese and beef inside. Well, when I saw Zookz sandwiches, that is what it reminded me of. And that is why I dragged him to take me here.The plaza that this establishment is in is very lively and there's an array of food spots or clothing stores. Zookz sits right at the entrance of this plaza and there are mists surrounding it. When you order, you pick the name of the sandwich based on the #. He got the #22 breakfast sandwich because he wanted the poach eggs, whereas I went for the #23 lunch sandwich which was more of a Mexican taste. We opted to sit outside to enjoy the mist.It was everything I expected it to be. Crunchy, uncrustable sandwich filled with whatever # items you chose. It didn't take long to be made and to eat. I savored every bite in mine as it was perfectly and evenly stuffed. The bread wasn't burnt but toasted to a perfection. Trav's egg droop made his just as savory. It was a YES!

Zookz is a unique sandwich, more like a saucer-shaped toasted white bread panini . They were tasty but not large in size. If you want a little bit different style of a sandwich, give them a try. Flavors were good. We had a number 20 (turkey, bacon, avocado) and a number 10 (turkey, cranberry, apples). They have some healthy chips (Popcorners) and some original healthy, tasty potato salad. Restaurant was clean, and employees friendly while explaining the whole concept to us when we had questions.

Good eats!!! Very clean place, fun/chill music and the staff were friendly & helpful.
