Zia Gourmet Pizza

Great pizza spot down in the Normal Heights area. My family was greeted by Z and promptly offered the best options for going single slice or full pie. They offer a great selection for all tastebuds, including those with a vegetarian lifestyle. Along with the great food they also had about 10 beers on tap for those looking to try some beers. Inside it's open with a nice relaxing vibe. I could have stayed there and relaxed for a couple of hours. Definitely recommend this place to ANYONE in the area.

While staying nearby for the weekend, we stumbled upon this fantastic pizza spot and are so glad we decided to give it a try. The person taking our order was friendly and offered great suggestions, including the option to split our pizza into two flavors. We chose half Pepperoni Mascarpone and half New Yorker. We were also treated to samples of their drinks, enjoying both a cider and a sour. This place was perfect, highly recommend!

Eclectic pizza place by the sliceThe restaurant has what looks to be hand painted walls with the option to sit at many booths and a few tables. We ordered pepperoni slices a long with a slice of veggie pizza with yogurt dollops. The person at the front was friendly as welcoming.The pizza itself was thin crust and the best pizza I had had all day. The dough itself was unique tasting with an ever so slight sour taste. Overall the pizza was good and affordable.

Solid and decent pizza for sure. A bit different, pretty dense, thin crust. It was good. I definitely ate several slices, and I'm a "pizza snob" so I'll leave it at that. The service was pretty good, friendly guys and gave a recommendation to try their most popular pizza next time. Definitely could be a next time! The ambiance, meh, standard pizza cafe feel, a bit dim if I remember correctly. Altogether a solid pizza, solid service.

I have not yet tried Zia pizza, but I used to go to cafe Zia in 2003 when all my friends were going to call state San Diego. Cafe Zia had the best chutneys and wraps. I wish there was a place to get those delicious wraps again. Khaled was always the most friendly dude. Hoping to make my way down there to try the pizza.

Didn't care for the crust. The pizza itself was just ok, but toooo expensive for what we ordered. You won't find prices anywhere on the web.

Came down to San Diego for vacation from the Bay Area. This is the best pizza I've ever had. So much flavor, and the crust is like nothing I've ever had before. The owner shows so much passion behind his craft and it shows in the pizza! Can't wait to come back here next time we are in San Diego.
