Zen Zen Dojo

15 of us gathered there to celebrate two birthdays, and let me tell you, it was a blast!It was our first time at Zen Zen Dojo, and I think it was their first time hosting such a large group. Despite a few hiccups with our orders (totally understandable with a big group in a cozy spot), the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the night.The menu at Zen Zen Dojo is pretty diverse - they offer everything from sandwiches and Asian fusion dishes to Taiwanese and Chinese-style night grill options, as well as rice and noodle bowls and Bento boxes. Plus, the fact that they share the space with Himeko Cafe next door adds an extra layer of charm.We pretty much ordered a bit of everything on the menu, and I have to say, it was all pretty delicious. The place seems to be a favorite among ASU students, but our rowdy group definitely stood out among the crowd. The decor is quirky and fun, with cute animated characters and pictures that really set a laid-back vibe.All in all, Zen Zen Dojo brought back some great memories of my college days and made me feel like a student all over again.

I am going crazy for their side dishes. If you don't love garlic, you may need to skip them. They offer bento box for lunch. I want to return to try their mapo tofu.The cucumber salad is garlicky good. The bean curd salad is spicy delicious and addictive. I never had the bean curd prepared this way before and I am surprised that this is really tasty. The stir fried cabbage is also garlicky good and perfectly cooked (not too soft not too crunchy.

I've tried the eggza and the chongching spicy chicken fries. I like the chicken dish! Generous amount of seasoning giving the dish nice flavor. The eggza however was bit too unexpectedly sweet for me though. Did not end up finishing it. Interesting concept though! Seating consist of hard wooden stools which aren't that comfortable. Service was good, no problems with it. Would be down to come back and try more of their stuff.

A cute little spot!The bento here is what I would get! It's quite a bit of food and you get lots of options. We tried their large bento braised pork (+ add boba drink at a discount), Chongqing chicken, and their chicken sandwich. All was good. Price is a tad high tho imo but figured it's due to the location. Service was good. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant, she always checked on us and made sure we have everything we need. FYI: Meter parking!

Food was fantastic! It's a must stop when you are in the area. The boba is delicious

Trashy restaurant. 6 tables. The "bar" was full of junk and unusable. Very slow service. The only girl working out front sat at the register looking at her phone. Weird menu choices. Wanted the katsu but I hate curry. Nothing but weird dishes. The street noodles were bland stir fried spaghetti and small chunks of fried chicken. The bento came with no stir fried vegetables. My wife loved the curry fried tofu bento. The tofu is super fresh with delicious batter. I ordered spring rolls but I had to remind the waitress to bring them after 10 minutes. They came out with the broccoli I should have got with the bento. The steamed broccoli was good as were the shrimp spring rolls. The grape green tea with lime my wife said was delicious. I had the orange tropical oolong. Both were medium sized that would be small drinks anywhere else. Definately not worth $51 with 15% tip. A pass from me. Gave it 3 stars because my wife liked it.

We went in for lunch today for the first time. We both got bento boxes. The food was delicious and flavorful. We will absolutely be back. We also got a thai tea and lime drink. The worker was friendly and helpful with the menu. The decor was an anime theme. Top bento box: sixth blind moon fried rice as main entree (spicy but delicious flavor with fried egg on top) with pot stickers, vegetable spring roll and croquette(deep fried mashed potatoe with breading, delicious). Bottom bento box: meat fiesta fried rice (3 meats with delicious flavor) with pot stickers, croquette, and cucumber salad (garlicky and refreshing).

super yummy food and great staff! i love their bento boxes and chicken sandwiches! Also check out their cafe drinks they are so good I always get the sea salt matcha.

Very cute and cozy restaurant. I got the stir fried street noodles and they were delicious and the portion was very large and definitely worth it. The wait staff are also very nice and the food did not take very long to get. Would definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner!
