Zen Thai is located in Downtown Phoenix, walking distance from the convention center. Ambiance is a dark club-like vibe with counter, tables, and booth seating. Excellent service.Food is palatable although our Ground Chicken Salad was bland and our Duck Pad See Ew was overly salty from the sauce and duck lacked flavor absent much roasted skin. The Thai Iced Teas and Coffees were a good deal at $5.95 each - very big. We were surprised when they asked us for the spice level on our Pad See Ew as we've never had a spicy version ever - original please.

I gotta say, from the jump, this place has a super chill/welcoming vibe. I knew I was gonna be in for a treat, and I was not disappointed. Started off with a Mango Martini and my sister had the Lychee Strawberry Martini. Both were refreshingly fantastic! Next came the appetizers. We had the Shrimp Summer Rolls and Sweet Potato. They both tasted great with their accompanied sauces, but I really have to express how much I absolutely could not get enough of those deliciously crisp sweet potatoes. It was unexpectedly on another level of yum! I already know I'll be craving those! As for the Entree, we opted to split the Thai BBQ Pork plate. It was cooked to perfection; nice and juicy! The Zen Sauce hit taste buds nicely. Let's just say the plate was spotless when we were through.I absolutely recommend this place, if ever you're in Downtown Phoenix. It's somewhat on the outer rim of Downtown, so you won't be exactly in the thick of it, where the traffic can be annoying. Thanks, Zen Thai, for an amazing dining experience. Your servers are A+ and management is a hoot.

So we wanted to try another place downtown and this place delivered!!!The crispy shrimp roll was excellent but the biggest issue was this was delivered to the table and our food followed. I ordered the coconut as my drink and it was excellent. Ive never had coconut water right out of the coconut before. My curry was excellent I had it with seafood combo and medium heat. Over all one of the best ive had and the right amount of mixed seafood. The heat was missing until i got to the bottom of the curry. Orange chicken was excellent fried perfectly the orange sauce was just right on sweet and spicy. Service was excellent the waitress was friendly and outgoing the waiter appeared to just want to get our order which he did but never asked for our drink order. He was not very engaging. The owner took our drink orders and engaged us in conversation. The place has a mixture of traditional looking decorating and a living wall of green plants. We will be back, prices are reasonable and the food is excellent.

Delicious Food & Amazing ServiceZen Thai Cafe offers an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant has a relaxing vibe, warm ambiance and delicious Thai cuisine. The staff are friendly and the service is spot on.On this visit we shared Pineapple Rice, Pad Thai with Shrimp, Yellow Curry with Chicken (level two spice), Potstickers, Crab Puffs, and the Thai Wings. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and served hot. The Pad Thai, was some of the best I've had and the Thai wings are a must have, crunchy, meaty, and tasty. To finish our meal we shared the fried bananas and coconut ice cream, light, refreshing, the perfect ending to our dinner. If you're looking for delicious Thai Food, amazing service,

We were visiting town and wanted to grab dinner with friends, so I selected Zen Thai after searching Yelp. Be prepared for parking since it's located in downtown, but if you are open to a walk then you can find cheaper parking. I called ahead since the Suns were playing and they advised that they don't really get busy until after 6pm. We arrived a bit after 5 and were promptly seated in the main dining area, which is small but has a cool ambiance. Our server was very friendly and super attentive. We started with drinks, beer for two in my group and I went with my favorite, a lychee martini. They brought the martini shaker table side and poured the drink, including a shot glass with the overflow which was appreciated! The martini was sweet but not overly and had a delicious and bright lychee flavor. Our group ordered varying entrees, Red Curry, Pad See Ew, and Garlic Black Pepper, all of which we raved about. We did ask about adding spice since they didn't offer the usual scale, but only the curry was spicy. That said, the other dishes were all delicious and boasted well rounded flavors. My fiance and I recently went vegetarian and this was his first time having Pad See Ew without meat and he said it was probably the best he's had. I even tried his and while I usually don't like that dish, it was so well balanced. My garlic black pepper vegetables were delicious, even though it didn't have the spice I requested. The portion was huge too, I ended up taking my leftovers home. I'd absolutely recommend this spot and will definitely be back on a future visit to Phoenix!

Food: I ordered the pad Thai and it was delicious. It's not the best I've had but definitely tasty and worth the price for the lunch special. For a medium it had no spice in my opinion Service: great Great spot for lunch and easy to walk to if you work in downtown

My hubby and I had dinner here during a recent stay in downtown Phoenix.Due to this being about the hottest part of the summer, things were pretty quiet. We ordered the summer rolls as an appetizer which included 4 pcs, so plenty for the two of us. I had a Thai mule that was delicious. For entrees, I chose Pad See Ew with tofu as I'd seen it mentioned in so many reviews. My hubby had yellow curry with tofu. Both dishes were delicious with a nice level of heat at medium. Also, very reasonably priced at $14.The service was excellent. She explained the different options and was attentive to our needs.

Grabbed some takeout, searching for some condor food at the end of a long day. This place was perfect. The service was friendly, the food was ready quick, and the price was decent. I had drunken noodles with chicken and a Thai iced tea. The dish was made perfectly with so many fresh veggies still crunchy. I asked for Thai hot, and HOT it was! Perfect.

Stopped here before a show at the crescent ballroom. We unintentionally stumble upon this place as the two other places we were thinking of had over an hour wait! We were sat right away and decided to order lychee martinis, chicken satay and spring rolls to start. The appetizers were good would recommend both! The lychee martini was super sweet. The yellow curry came with a lot of beef and had good flavor I was happy with the spice level as well. The star of the show was the khao soi I had never tried this before but it had amazing flavor and the crispy noodles with the soft noodles gave it a great texture. If we weren't going to the show after I would have taken leftovers lolAll in all this place is great and I would definitely come back!
