Zeke's Drive In

Zeke's is a must stop every time our family goes over the mountains on highway 2. We always plan our trip around stopping here for lunch! Hadn't been in a year or two, we went last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised that their prices have stayed SO affordable, which can rarely be said in this economy! We fed our family of 5 for under $40, which I call a WIN for eating a delicious lunch out. The food is consistently good. Service is quick, usually even when they're busy. It's a nice break from the car to eat outside at one of their picnic tables, and they have an indoor dining room for when the weather is iffy.

I've passed this road side drive N so many times but today we stopped. They are closed on Tuesday & Wednesday . I got an apple pie shake and the Ruben . The food came up fast and was delicious. If you're on Hwy 2 stop on in .

Just tried this today.AMAZING Had the best deep fried mushrooms there today. This place is a must stop and eat place for sure if you are driving up hi-way 2 or if you just like deep fried mushrooms

Warning if you get food that is made wrong they will not make it right. Not only that if you talk to them calming and privately they will yell at you to embarrass you so they shame you in leaving. I asked for a regular cheese burger (Lettuce Tomato, cheese mayo and relish) to even be sure I asked the lady what comes on their regular cheese burger to make sure I understand. Immediate this young girl got an attitude and said "Well we have different kinds of burgers, doubles, BBQ, mushroom burgers!!!" (Not sure why she was aggressive from the very beginning. Maybe my attire or look triggered her) I replied "Oh no not those just a regular cheeseburger." She said "So you want a regular cheeseburger?" Me "Yes please." So I get a plain cheese burger with mayo and relish - Yuck!I brought it back thinking she thought I said a plain cheeseburger and not a regular cheeseburger. Thinking it is just a simple mistake. Instead of advising me that their menu has different levels of a classic cheeseburger no extra charge like a BBQ sauce and or a deluxe (Lettuce Tomato) which I had no idea that is what she meant and I even explained to her that I did not understand that.When I brought the now cold burger back and explained that I just wanted a fresh one with the lettuce and tomatoes she said no and began to yell at me and tell me that she explained this to me several times (Only once not several times to which I told her even then I did not fully understand)But as I showed her the burger and placed it in the trash since it was ice cold she told me I was not getting a corrected one and that I was dumb for throwing away a now cold burger that I was not going to enjoy.With the yelling, the disgraceful attitude from the beginning and the fact I paid for a meal I did not get to eat gives them a zero star from me.If they refund the money or offer a revisit I may consider a change in ranking. For now I do not recommend this place on principle alone for the business strategy they are using. (You get what you get and you'll like or it or you can leave) mentality.Update: I disputed the charge with my bank and they refunded me. Sad to see the money taken back from small business but to steal from locals is wrong too.

Came here later at night, it was pouring rain but we were able to sit inside and eat. Everything was clean and spacious. The service was fast, the food was ok, I have chicken tenders but they were more like bland nuggets, I'd probably try a burger next time.

First off, the location was really nice. Being a decent burger spot before going through the pass, I was happy to say I can come here again. The food opinion below is my opinion based on what we got. Chicken gizzards: not great , for us too much flour. The burger with au jus: it was a little salty, and to dip it in au jus made it not worth getting the dip. The bread was nice and soft, and the burger patty was cooked perfectly. The bacon cheese burger: it was decent. Liked how we were able to add items to it that were available on the menu The rhubarb shake: one of the best milk shakes I have ever had. Customer service: On point, keep up the amazing work!

Keep in mind that this is a road side hamburger business but is one you will stop at more than once. While hamburgers are their main fare, they do elk and bison to fish and chips.Now for the important stuff. Their burgers aren't anything like McDonalds. Nope. Standard fare is third pound real beef with real read tomato and real green lettuce. Theirs will put the BK Whooper to shame. Of course if you don't want the l & t you can have it plain. Fries are hot and crispy. As mentioned there are several variations of burgers to choose from and everything comes with a very affordable price when compared with what you get. You gave three options in which to consume your meal. First is in your vehicle but that can be messy and do it parked, not while traveling, that would be stupid and dangerous. Second choice is one of the tables they have set out on the patio amongst the trees and third is the dining room just off the patio.The people are friendly and happy to do it your way just like BK. Give Zeke's a try, you will be happy. Located just east of Gold Bar on US2 Steven's Pass highway where the train tracks pass over the highway. Trust me. As you know I don't give 5 stars if not deserving.

Burger good, shake good, BUT I saw all the workers handling food without gloves on .. don't know if that is against health code of Snohomish county but nonetheless be advised

Good veggie burger, great service and good selection, ambiance could have been better in their dining room

Now don't get me wrong, we love Zeke's, the food is always great and we look forward to it every time we head that way. What causes me to give this crummy review is that we drove there tonight from Monroe (May 9, 2024) arrived at 7:18 PM and they were closed. This has happened several times before and it's really annoying. Knowing that they tend to not keep their hours, we usually try to call to confirm that they are open but more often than not they won't answer the phone. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd actually keep the hours they post which are until 7:30 PM on Thursdays or at least answer the phone. Because of our work schedules we can't get there much earlier than 7:15 on week nights. Please Zeke's help save people from wasting their time and gas by staying open until your posted hours or at least answer the damn phone. Thanks!
