Great casual pizza spot in Lakeview! There is very limited indoor seating, so take-out might be a necessary option, depending on when you go.I was lucky enough to get a spot and got the pepperoni pizza with ricotta dollops. It was reasoning priced and so good. There was a longer line after I got there and it does crowded very quickly and the lines do get long. However, it is absolutely worth the wait!

Perfect. I used to live in NYC and this would rank near the top of the best nyc spots. We got the hot honey pepperoni, the grandma slice, and the gold medal. The hot honey pepperoni was very good. There are a couple places we around d the city that serve a similar slice but I liked this one the more than the other ones around the city. The grandma slice had pepperoni and vodka slice. Overall this was my favorite slice. The gold medal was a fancy cheese slice. It was really good but the garlic in some bites was a little more than I would like--just a personal preference. We also got the garlic knots which were excellent. Overall, this was by far my favorite New York pizza place in the Chicago. Inside just has a few tables. Nothing fancy but it's sufficient.

I don't understand the hype for this place. I see regularly, many people state that this is their favorite pizza in area. I had tried this pizza for the first time shortly after they first opened. I remember getting a pepperoni pizza and thinking that it was incredibly salty and pretty disappointing. After years of hearing and seeing glowing reviews, I finally decided to try it again. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing once again. I wish it was just one thing, but it was pretty much everything about the pizza including the cheese, sauce, crust and toppings that made the pizza poor quality compared to other options in the area. I once again thought the pizza was salty even though I didn't get pepperoni on the entire pizza. I don't think I can justify coming back again.

Very tasty and well-made thin-crust, with rich sauces! This is what you're looking for if you want a down-to-earth, neighborhood pizza joint. It has that hole-in-the-wall, friendly energy that makes you excited to get pizza.Skip the big chains, this is well worth it.

NY Style Pizza in Chicago?! It's pretty close. Busy little spot in the city and I totally understand why. It's small... they could really use a larger space with more seating. Get in. Get your name on a seating list and yeah. Worth it. The girl was young, cute, and so cool but still so sweet and kind. The food was really, really good. We ordered the Garlic Twists and the Mike's Hot Pepperoni Pie. Both just so good. We drove specifically to this spot from Indiana just to try their NY Style Pizza. No regrets. Will we come again JUST to eat here? Provably not but if we're already in the city (which is quite often), it's definitely worth another visit. City street parking... IYKYK

Gave Zazas another try - ordered 3 pizzas, requesting without the olive oil salted crust. We much preferred them without the salty crust. The pies were enough for 7 people to share and they were a big hit! They were also ready for carry-out exactly when predicted. Happy it worked out and this will be our go-to in the future. Thanks Zazas.

Tried Zazas for the first time recently and it was truly exceptional pizza! Really loved the Mike's hot pepperoni pie and the bacon jam - really nice that you can split flavors with the same sauce if you get a large pie. Space inside is pretty limited so I wouldn't go with a group more than 4 if you're trying to dine inside, but otherwise loved the experience!Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 4/5Cost: 4/5

This is one of the best pizza places in the city! I don't like when the pie is super thin where it's flimsy and I feel like Zaza has the perfect ratio of sturdiness where the toppings don't slide off (if that makes sense lol). The hot honey is so so good! I'm obsessed with this place :) Not a lot of seating though, but you can get it to go. Staff are super nice too!

After a Cub game at Wrigley three of us were looking for dinner in the area before a drive home. Zazas wqs nearby and came with high recommendation. It was still relatively early at 4:45 pm when we arrived and able to grab a table. The small seating area quickly filled. We ordered the Gold Medal pizza and added sausage and mushrooms. The crust was thin and excellent. The toppings could have been increased a bit but were excellent. We also ordered the cheese curds. Which came with two sauces. They were a great leadoff for the pizza. There was lots of pickup traffic and I can taste why. Very tasty pizza with a good mix of cheeses and terrific choices of sauce.

I treated myself to a quick birthday lunch here the other day after hearing so many positive reviews about the food and how the place is always packed with people. After trying it, I have to agree with all the reviews - this place is amazing. The restaurant itself is small, but it's not a bad thing. It has that cozy neighborhood that you'd get in a place like New York. The wall art is awesome and it's just a vibe all around. The two men who were working there, who I later learned were named Rae and Ben, were incredibly nice and were so welcoming. After a bit of conversation, I told them it was my birthday and they just made the experience that much better with a few extra things to try on top of the friendly chitchat. Once I tagged them on social, the owner, Sue reached out to me about my experience so it was lovely to have the friendly conversation continue. Onto the food - I tried the Mike's Hot Honey pepperoni slice and they recommended I try the bacon jam slice along with a cookie which I forgot to photograph. Both slices were incredible and it's hard to choose a favorite but the pepperoni slice was something I'll be dreaming about for a while. So far, this is the closest match to authentic New York pizza that I've found in Chicago. I can't wait to come back, not only for the pizza but for the incredible people who work there too. 10000/10.
