Came on a Friday night at 5:20 for happy hour. Place was jammin. They sat us near the outside with the giant garage doors open.It was so nice, but loud. The doors opened helped a bit with the noise and felt very spacious. Chairs were comfortable, too.Ordered 2 kid meals at $9 each. They had many options for kids and came with a cool color-changing cup.We ordered the salsa trio and chips, nachos, buffalo chicken tenders, and gringo tacos. Most of the items were $5-$7 each.House margaritas were $6 and good.Only complaint is I don't like mushrooms but love enchiladas and they only offer mushroom enchiladas for vegetarians. Would return. Plan to try their veggie fajitas next.

Stopped in for a bite over the weekend and sat in the bar area. Large tv for game watching and during cooler weather it would be great to sit on the patio next to the waterfront. Service was friendly and quick. The queso could've had the green chiles mixed into it but was still good. The fajitas were tasty and a good sized portion. Good option when you want something quick and not too fancy.

Great happy hour! $6 house margaritas (7/10), super cheap salsa trio (9/10), and $8 queso (10/10). Everything we had was wonderful and it was a very affordable experience. The food came out quickly and perfectly. The salsa Verde was absolutely my favorite, and we also had the shrimp tostadas(5/10), but I'd say skip these and just get more dips! The restaurant was fairly empty, but in a nice neighborhood. Definitely give it a try for happy hour if you're in the area

Loved finding this was open the manager and bartender sever were so nice! Loved the shrimp bites! Yummy!!

If you are looking for a great happy hour place look no further! $5 margs and $5-$10 food Catfish beignets, chips and salsa, and even quesadillas. We went on a Thursday 4:30pm and it was empty. The hostess were amazing, the waitress had great food and drink recommendations and the atmosphere was so inviting and chill. Sit closer to the window and you can get a great sunset and water view.

I was here upon opening and at first the bar tender didn't want me to sit despite it being 10am. Patio doors were wide open but for not wanting to sit outside it was kind of chilly inside and all the birds kept coming inside looking for food. After being seated I was informed you don't unfortunately offer hot tea just coffee. Then I was asked what I wanted to order very quickly after I sat down. As I was answering the man walked away, I was incredulous. Pushing that aside, I ordered a few dishes. Cassava chips are always amazing, nachos I added chilli pork which tasted barely reheated not fresh sadly. The up charge was not worth the price. Mushroom enchiladas had good flavour but the presentation was less than appetising sadly. I really like Robby your Manager and ownership but for being the only patron on sight customer service was horrible.

Long list of dining choices - both Tex-Mex and traditional American. Ideal patio overlooking lake. Wait staff is outstanding.Margaritas come in ice cream sugar cone shape. Gone in two swallows.

I came here with some coworkers for my going away party. We had a reserved table and ordered different appetizers on happy hour. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced! Our service was great from the minute of walking in until we left.

Horrible experience and won't be back. My friend and I went here earlier for Cinco de Mayo. We asked for a table for two, one of the hostesses left and came back to tell us the table was ready but they were out of menus and for us to give them a a few minutes. We waited shortly and then the female came back to tell us unfortunately there were no tables available and the wait would be 30 mins. Like really?? Why did you just literally tell us a table was ready then but there were no menus.I was already ready to leave but my girlfriend found a group of people at a table who had had two open seats and asked if we could sit there. The group said yes and the guy said they were leaving shortly. So a waitress comes over, takes our drink and appetizer order meanwhile they group has left but the table has not been cleaned. While I didn't expect the clean up to happen instantly, you would think once the group left someone would have came over to wipe down the table and take away the dirty glasses/dishes.A guy who works there comes over, we ask if he could clean the table. He says sure, leaves, we wait awhile, guy never comes back and he is now working behind the bar.We now have cocktails and food on an apparent dirty table and some other people joined at the end of the table. I inform them that someone was supposed to clean the table but we were still waiting .I have so far asked the guy, asked a host a well who walked by if someone could clean the table (still waiting) Meanwhile all of us are still at a dirty table. When my waitress comes back, I ask if the table can be clean and and she asks me "oh you want it clean?" Are you serious? This table is dirty with dishes still sitting and you just expect our party along with the party at the end of the table to just sit in it??The last straw was when some chic named Bri (I am not even sure if that is her name) comes over to our table and tells us the table is reserved at 5. I look at her and respond that I don't plan on being there until 5 due to the horrible experience.When I tried to run down our grievances, she proceeds to tell me it is cinco de Mayo and give them some leniency. Look I get it's a holiday but she not once took any accountability, never apologized and kept giving me attitude. When I told her if they can't handle business on a holiday around 4:30 then how did they expect to handle customers later on when it got busy.This chic made again another comment about it being Cinco dr Mayo then gave me this rude hand gesture and walked away. Our entire table (included those at the end of the shared table) were all shocked and that's when I lost it, I demanded the manager, pointed out the rude chic and the others agreed. The manager listened and may have been willing to make it up to me but by that point, I was done with the restaurant, wasn't paying for the drink and app and told him I was leaving and not coming back. My girlfriend stayed as her husband was planning to meet up later but I walked out.Listen we didn't make reservations, I get it's a holiday and things are busy but there is no reason to be told a table is ready for you then it's not, expected to be eating at a dirty table and deal with a worker who clearly may have had a chip on her shoulder because she had to work today instead of partying with her friends.I was on the fence about writing this review but 3 hours later, I'm still heated and needed to let it out.I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!I also won't tolerate anyone disrespecting me especially when my issues are valid.

First time EVER at Z Tejas.... Pretty big door to enter the establishment... pretty cool actually.I like the setting, tables are not to close to each other. I was seated at window overlooking the lake, aka pond. The waitress Eden, she was nice, friendly and helpful going over the menu with me. Did I mentioned it was my first time. Oh, a neat gadget is when you open the menu it lights up. So cool!! That's right! No need to use the flashlight on your phone.. Anyway, I ordered from the small plates menu. Nachos, crab stuffed mushrooms & shrimp ceviche. Enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and nachos. The crab stuffed mushrooms not so much. It didn't indulge my palate. Overall I enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the service.P.S. the Jalapeño, cucumber cocktail is spicy.. Loved it .. just beware.
