Ordered once on Ubereat, my experience was great based on the dishes I had. Everything came nicely packaged and warm. Negi Hamachi: unlike the other Negi hamachi I had previously, their roll size is large and the fish is greatly seasoned. Also, it is fresh and the rice portion is not too big (a huge plus). Salmon: the grilled salmon is great seasoned, you can definitely taste a hint of sourness of the yuzu. However, it is a bit overcooked, not juicy and tender. I don't really recommend this. Nasu: the grilled eggplant is awesome and worth a try! It has a light sour and sweet taste. It is perfectly grilled. Love this one. Ume Bowl: a very interesting bowl! It comes with a variety of fishes ( tuna, salmon, yellowtail, Zuke sake, scallop, and salmon roe). It is also a great option to try all the various types of fishes. This bowl is topped with a quail egg which made the fishes extra tender. The sushi rice is seasoned with yuzu! A very interesting and creative seasoning of rice. This is definitely not a bland dish, it is an interesting and special dish. Worth a try. Ama Ebi(forgot to take a picture): the raw shrimp is sweet, fresh, and tender. FYI, the frying head comes with sushi rice and mayo (ask to make any adjustments if you have any allergies). Overall, I think Yuzu is a great place to try out various kind of creative sushi and dishes. They do offer lots of creative rolls, but not too many nigiri options. I noticed that the dine in price or online ordering through their website is cheaper than third party platforms. Since I live a bit far from the restaurant, I can only order from third party sites. Therefore, the food is kind of pricey to me. Also, there are more food options if you choose to dine in or if you can order through their website! It would be great if Yuzu can make more accommodation for customers on third party platforms (allergy friendly, food accommodations, and more food options).

My friend and I visited this restaurant to celebrate her birthday, right before a comedy show. We were late for our reservation but still didn't have to wait long to be seated.Once at our table we started with some drinks (I forgot which ones ) and plenty of appetizers. We love to eat and try everything so we ordered Hamachi Crudo, Asparagus Bacon skewer, Ribeye skewer, and Tuna Truffle oil sashimi. WOW! We were not disappointed at all! Everything was amazing especially the Tuna Truffle oil sashimi. For dinner we tried the Sea Smoke and the Don't Tell My Wife sushi rolls. Although we were looking forward to the beautiful artwork on our sushi platters, we didn't quite get it. Maybe because it was a busy night. Nonetheless, the sushi rolls were absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed the food. It was moderately noisy and plenty of street parking. We are sushi gals so we'll definitely be back!

My new favorite Sushi spot! If you like Sushi you have to try them if you have not already, because they've been around forever but for some reason I'm just finding out about them. This spot is not only Good but it's super dope! It's a whole vibe with a side of flava! It's like a Sushi art galley that spin all the hip hop cuts from the 80's and 90's because when I walked in and heard Rob Base, it takes two, I knew I had found my new Sushi spot. They jammed my entire visit. I also love the Japanese art on the walls featuring manga greats like Naturo. One of the Sushi makers behind the bar making Sushi even resembles Naruto with the headband and all. Talk about following the business theme.Ok, I'm seated after taking this cool spot in and I decide on the "drunk in love" for my drink, the Gyoza as an app and the Dragon ball for my Sushi roll. The Drunk In Love has some Kick! And will have you leaving definitely Drunk, the Love part could be an effect of the alcohol for some..lol! The dragon roll was so big, pretty and good! It was one of the best dragon rolls I've had and that says a lot because I've had them in many places and many states. I love how they make colorful artsy designs on the Sushi board of your roll. And of course the design is the spicy mayo so it's edible. I mean that in itself is so cool and so different. The Gyoza app was like fried chicken dumplings. They were Ok. I tasted more of the fried breading than the chicken, so I probably wouldn't order again if I came back. Service was very fast and pleasant. I got here at 5:15pm it was ample seating and when I was leaving by 6:30pm the place was packed. Price point was for what you get is good. Mon-Fri from 4-6:00pm they have a happy hour where every Sushi roll is $5 off and all cocktails are $10. Definitely worth coming in for the savings. Not sure if they take walk ins, I booked online to secure a spot and when doing this there is a $10'deposit you pay but it goes towards your bill. Overall I really enjoyed my experience and will be back for sure.

Yuzu has a phenomenal happy hour deal from 4:30-6:30pm! The presentation of the sushi is always really well done. The service is top notch, the waiter came by really quickly to take orders and bring out the dishes. The takoyaki is super good, hot and fresh with good chunks of octopus. The $3 Sapporo happy hour deal is great. The salmon robata is a pretty good sized piece of grilled salmon with a tasty yuzu citrus sauce. $5 off jumbo rolls is a really good deal during happy hour. We got the breaking bad and the born to chill. Both of them were delicious. I like that the breaking bad had two shrimp tempuras inside. Street parking is easy to find on the side streets.

This is not an exaggeration, but Yuzu Sushi has become my all-time favourite sushi restaurant. Some of my favorites are their vegetarian sushi dishes: La Vie En Rose which is a sweet potato, avocado, cream cheese and aioli sushi and, avocado&cucumber sushi. It is outstanding and the flavors are really wonderful. The way they make sauce presentation on the plate is quite unique and very innovative. In this visit I also tried their chicken dumplings and chicken satay which was pretty good too but portions a bit too small for these dishes. We also ordered a bunch of cocktails and hot sake which was crisp and earthy in taste. The place has a chic, casual ambiance and a friendly staff. I highly recommend and I look forward to returning.PS. This place is no longer a BYOB and requires reservation for $15 per person!

Yuzu is a Japanese restaurant serving creative sushi rolls, robata dishes and more in a manga themed setting. A friend recommended this place and I was a little hesitant because personally I am not a big sushi fan but I MUST say I absolutely loved this place. My sister and I tried lychee saketini and hot sake, which were perfect. We started with chicken dumplings called Gyoza, and I also had chicken satay from the robata section--both tasted good, but I wished there was more quantity for chicken satay. We tried the veg sushi rolls, La vie en rosa, green harbor and avacado & cucumber and I must say I absolutely loved all three sushi rolls. My personal favorite was La vie en rosa. The decorations on the Green Harbor roll were beautiful. Basically, this roll comes with a cute design made with sauces. The presentation is nice. The place has a rustic feel with wooden anime designs, and it's not too loud, so it's easy to chat with friends. The service is pretty quick. Make sure to book ahead because it gets busy at night. Overall, it's one of the best sushi places I've been to, and I definitely recommend it

This is a place I almost always talk about as one of the best sushi places in Chicago not only for presentation, but also for the quality and freshness of food and the rotating menu the time I went in there, they happen to have fresh Uni, which I've always wanted to try and I am a huge fan! Whether it's a Friday night out or a date night I definitely recommend this place

Yuzu Sushi and Robata is located on the cutest street in West Town of Chicago. It's a sushi art spot that blends Japanese traditional dishes with a little artistry. Check out our sushi roll. This spot was founded in 2011 by Yut Vong, who transitioned from a career in political journalism to the food service industry! We got the spicy edamame, tater tots, hamachi and jalapeño small roll and the River Walk Roll! Look at the art work it comes with. Wow! All were excellent.I loved the buzz in this restaurant. It wasn't loud but everyone was conversing. Not a lot of people are on their phones. A nice change!
