Okkkkk this place blew my mind. It is definitely worth the wait and let me tell you, you will have to wait. All the items on their menu look good and you really can't go wrong with any of them. The noodles...the texture is perfect. The flavors are so good without being too heavy. I will definitely be going back here next time I am in Boston!

The food was absolutely amazing. The noodles were chewy and fresh. Could tell they were handmade. We went for a late lunch and the line was so long for such a small spot. We waited for about 40 mins but it was so worth the wait because the noodles were unforgettable.Perfect place to go for a quick in and out meal.

We came for early lunch on a Saturday morning and we were able to be seated quickly (party of 4); however, by the time we finished eating, a line had already formed outside. Definitely recommend coming earlier if it's the weekend to avoid waiting. The spicy cold udon noodles are simple, refreshing, and perfect for summer. The noodles had the perfect chew. The spice on top is hardly spicy. I wish it had more of a kick! Will be dropping by to try the hot udons when the weather gets cooler.

If I could recommend one dish in Boston, it might have to be the classic cold niku udon! It was my first time trying cold niku udon and it was unreal. The dish was so light and fresh but also packed with flavor. Service was so fast and the dish presentation was also beautiful! It's a small dining spot in the Seaport and looks like it can get busy quickly. I went soon after opening and didn't encounter a wait luckily. Can't wait to be back!

Made an online order for pickup (takes 20min). It was ready by the time I arrived. The shop is located inside a small mall that was pretty dead. There were other parties at neighboring food stalls but none were that busy. Seating is still limited as there weren't that many overall at this small shop. 10/10 Spicy Cold Niki Udon $17 - Packaged very well to and easy to combine. As this dish already comes cold I would recommend getting it to go as it should not make the affect the food quality. I just added the broth into the udon and beef and topped it with the crispy tempera bits. Udon was perfect even cold. It was still chewy and not sticky/doughy. Broth blew me away! So much flavor, very light and refreshing! The spice in the middle also just added more flavor to the broth and spice level was ok 3/10. Beef was warm, tender with a bit of chew, and soaked up the broth very well. The crispy bits added a crunchy texture and was a great additional topping for this dish.

Stopped here to eat before a concert at the Pavilion. The menu was short which is great because I wasn't overwhelmed by choices. Inside, the restaurant was small and we were seated at the bar with a view right into the kitchen. We could see the cooks making fresh udon noodles right in front of us! Our soups came out so quickly, I was impressed! We both got hot udon soups, one with beef and one without. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth came out steaming. There were also katsu flakes in the broth which made it more filling. We both added some chili seasoning that was at our table for more flavor. On top of everything being delicious, the cost of our meal was not expensive at all! We will definitely be back!

Udon is amazing but be prepared to wait! You order while you're in line and the food comes out within 5 minutes of being seated. Quality is great but seating is a bit cramped and prices are a bit high ($21 before tip and tax for an udon with egg). Definitely a great addition to the Boston food scene though and I can't wait to go back!

Always pretty quick as the menu is smaller. We usually get one cold spicy and one hot spicy with beef.Love this location when you can find street parking, depending on time of day sometimes it's impossible but they do have a garage for that plaza that's $20+ i forget what i paid last time. The noodles today were overall good! Not as chewy / bouncey as the previous visit but good and hit the spot nonetheless.I do think the cold noodle version is better but today's weather called for hot version!Seaport location has more seating than porter, clean nice and single bathroom.Outside has heater blowing now so that space you wait outside for a table is nice and warm.I do think the broth for the cold noodles in porter has a slight edge but still a fave spot for this type of dish and same family.

Maybe I was too hyped for this place, but I was disappointed. We went around 5 and there was a line, but it moved very quickly. They take your order in line and once you are seated the food comes out fast. I tried the cold niku udon and spicy hot udon. The noodles were much chewier for the cold which I preferred. I didn't know what i was expecting, but it tasted like soba noodles with udon. Very soy saucy. The hot broth was warm, but once again felt a bit lacking. It didn't have the depth I was expecting so overall i thought it was a bit bland. Nobody in my group thought it was amazing, but it was still a solid meal.

I've had the Yume in Porter Square several times, but this is my first time at the Seaport location. I expected the restaurant to be bigger, but it has really limited seating. The line can get kind of long sometimes, maybe 30 minutes wait? The waitresses were really in a rush to get us out the door. This is not a place you go to for a romantic date or a big gathering of friends. You go here for a quick meal, by yourself or with 1-2 friends.Anyways, the food was great as always. I always forget how great this place is. I got the cold niku udon. The noodles are cooked to perfection, perfectly chewy. The beef tastes amazing. The tempura flakes are amazing as well. A simple but so, so satisfying meal.I think menu prices already include tax.
