Yumbii Brookwood Hills

We have been loyal fans of Yumbii for a long time, even before they had a physical location. However, this particular location truly embodies the brand, unlike my experience at the Toco Hills location.I recently visited with a friend, and she couldn't stop raving about it even after she went back home. We ordered the chicken taco, fish tacos, and fries, accompanied by a regular margarita and a frozen margarita.While the chicken taco was a bit dry, everything else was incredibly delicious. The fish tacos remained crispy and flavorful, although it would have been great if they had corn tortillas. The fries were exceptionally crispy and packed with flavor. The frozen margarita was also a delightful treat.The service was good, although it's worth noting that there is no table service. You place your order at the counter and find a seat yourself. The young lady behind the register was friendly and provided helpful recommendations.Although this location is slightly smaller, it still maintains a pleasant ambiance. I am definitely planning to return during happy hour next time to make the most of the experience.

Friend of mine and me decided to come here for lunch one day. Be advised, parking is a mess and we got lucky there was a spot on the road. Either way we walked in ordered. We each got 2 tacos and shared a side fries and for lunch it was amazing! Quick, easy not too expensive and delicious. No complaints to be had here and it was delicious. Can't wait to come back.

Walked in for lunch and should have turned right around after seeing 75% of the tables not bussed. Noticed their coke machine was gone and there was only tea, water and alcohol to drink. Ordered 3 tacos and fries to share between two people, paid, and immediately walks out from the kitchen a stressed dude with at least 6 feet worth of tickets that just printed in the back. Uh oh. Waited over an hour to get the whole order. Several people walked out after getting refunded. I mean, the fries are the best. But the tacos all had the same spicy sriracha sauce that overpowers any other flavor. Its ok at first, but after a few bites its just unforgiving. 2 stars for the fries.

I liked everything for the most part. The chili sauce is a touch sweet, but it went along with everything for the most part. This is definitely worth a try.

Food was fine, but not great. Hipster ambiance. Clean facilities. Attentive staff. Nice open seating alongside the sidewalk right across the road from Piedmont.

What happened to this place? My wife and I were in the area and excitedly stopped in for lunch bc we used to love the food here. This time, neither of us were able to finish our food it was so bad. The pork and chicken were both dry and flavorless. It's as if the meat was frozen or from a can and just thrown into the tacos. I have to assume this is the result of new management and/or cutting corners.

This place never disappoints. I either order take out or I dine in. Food is always good and fresh. Ambiance is always good . And they now have a full bar which I love! The frozen margarita is $10 and it does it's drop.

I'm giving Yumbii 3 Stars for the service, it was excellent. The food on the other hand...I had wings, street corn & a margarita. I'd heard good things about the wings but what I hadn't heard is that they came from a dinosaur, they're huge! The flavor wasn't terrible though. The margarita was very fresh and the corn tasted like it'd been under a light. Maybe I'll try a taco next time.

They don't pay their employees on time. The Owner, Katy, and the Operations Manager, Hutch, do not respect their employees nor their time. I was hired to be the General Manager at Toco Hills location. In my case, I quit after a day because of a poor operation and I never received my measly less than $300 pay. Offer letter is attached with my name redacted before they reply "this person didn't work here". I've also included evidence of our conversation. Reason I quit:First day of work, the operations manager texts me and informs me to come in 1 hour later than scheduled (30 mins prior to shift starting)Second day of work, owner tells me she will be about 30-45 mins late (15 mins prior to shirt starting)They were aware that I was driving 1.5 hours in Atlanta's morning traffic to arrive to work and they expected me to sit in the parking lot waiting on them, wasting my time, because they lack respect and efficiency.Issue with receiving check:On 9/14, I sent email about pay that I never received from over 2 weeks ago. Operations manager told me it would be at Toco Hills location the next day (2/15). I go in on 2/17 because I live so far away, only to get there and the check isn't there!!!I sent owner a text (screenshot attached) who says she will bring it in the next day (senseless and disrespectful) because apparently she misplaced it although I'm sure she never brought it in. She also said she could send it via Venmo. Based on where I live, I obviously requested a Venmo payment. I responded immediately with Venmo instructions and 6 hours have passed without any payment being received. She just abruptly stopped responding to my texts. Let me reiterate that the payment is merely less than $300 but money that I rightfully worked to make.Their 5 star reviews are "paid"/fraudulent:5 star reviews are not genuine because they offer people free fries to leave a 5 star review before the customer even tries the food.Notice how vague the 5 star reviews appear to be written?Bad food quality:Shrimp is undercooked and refried (customer complained) and didn't even want a reorder because of how terrible it tasted (tail still attached to shrimp)No regard for hygiene/sanitation:Using gloves is an afterthought. They use their bare hands to setup the aqua fresca drink machine. Literally they're elbow deep in the machines putting it together before the store opens. Disgusting.Unfortunately, I have to waste my time leaving this review in addition to filing a complainant with the Department of Labor and BBB. Do not support this business that does not care about employees. Turnover is through the roof.I was content with the salary offer but the amount they pay to hourly workers is completely terrible. Assistant managers (acting as general managers) make around $15/hr.Do not support a business that lacks respect for its employees.

Food was so good , but service was even better ...ALEX was so welcoming helpful and made great recommendations..... definitely coming back
