I will forever love young tea. Loved it when it was in ID, continue to love it in Wallingford (maybe a little more because street parking is easier in Wallingford). The place was pretty empty when I entered, and they originally have a couple self ordering screens but they were out of service at the time. The people working were super kind and patient while I pondered on what to get. I decide on the peach oolong tea with grass jelly. I don't like my drinks that sweet, I usually get 25/30% sugar, but young tea's drinks are very tea forward, so 50% is perfect for me. The grass jelly was okay, didn't have much grass jelly flavor, so was a bit disappointed on that part, but overall still a good drink!

I used to not like taro at bubble tea places but I am now obsessed when REAL taro is used. On their Instagram they showed the process of making their taro smoothie and they used real taro which is why it's not that being purple color, rather it's white. I thought about it all week and made my way there. This taro smoothie is now probably my favorite drink here and maybe top favorite drink at a bubble tea spot now. Wow so good!! If you're someone like me who doesn't like things too sweet, this is perfect. So happy to have discovered this drink! It's got a creamy and subtly sweet. It has little taro chunks in it. They also have a dispenser to sample their peach oolong tea which is one of my top favorites as well. Get it with the sea salt Crema or on its own and it's delicious. My third recent favorite is the genmaicha latte which has the roasted and nutty green tea flavor. It is much heartier I'm flavor than the tea alone. There's a good amount of seating space in here and they're quick to make your order. There is a self serve screen too

Pretty decent new milk tea spot! It's pretty authentic and artisan- more of a spot for tea connoisseurs than people looking for a dessert milk tea. It runs pretty conservative on sweetness level so I would stick with 100% unless you're looking for a stronger tea flavor. Also, the boba leaves something to be desired, it was hard and kind of plain. My drink came out pretty quickly after ordering and there's a kiosk if you don't feel like interfacing with the baristas!

In my opinion, Young Tea has more authentic flavors and more reasonable levels of sweetening than most Boba shops in Seattle. I do the default sweet level here (100%) but at other shops I ask for less sweet (75%). I tried the "lava" flavor this time and I wasn't super impressed, it was too intense for me, but I'm not going to dock points because the description was very accurate: 'more intense than brown sugar boba' but I am docking one star, because the boba was undercooked and I am not a fan of crunchy boba I don't think I have had crunchy boba at Young tea before, so I will come back again sometime!

I wasn't planning on going to Young Tea, but when I walked past and saw the sign on the door advertising their tea tasting, I knew this place would have great tea. Young Tea has a large array of teas to choose from as well as boba and other toppings. I had to get a drink.Rock Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($5.95 + $0.75) - This place offers three different varieties of oolong (red, high mountain, and rock). The rock oolong is very forward tasting, with earthy malted notes, a slight mineral roasty flavor and barely any floral notes. I originally got it 50% sweet but I asked for more syrup as I didn't think the drink was sweet enough - rare as most shops make their drinks too sweet. It seems this place reduces their sugar to make sure it doesn't overpower their tea flavors. They use whole milk in their milk teas, but I couldn't really discern a milk taste in the drink in the first place. They do offer almond milk and soy milk as alternative milks for those who are lactose intolerant. The boba was on the harder side but does soften with time in the drink. They soak their boba in syrup for a nice sweet taste.I definitely recommend Young Tea if you care about getting drinks with high quality, tea-forward flavor.

This is a nice boba shop. They have tea tasting sessions you can sign up for--I did not have time, but thought that would be fun to do sometime. When you enter, you can order on a couple of different touch screens, where you will get a number. They have a large menu including many brewed teas. I ordered the black sugar milk tea (that came with boba pearls), regular sugar and no ice. It came pretty quickly. The flavor was very good and I thought the actual boba pearls were particularly good.I will definitely be back again.

Hidden gem in town where serves the best quality tea, you can tell from the taste that the tea is fresh brew daily and the natural tea sense in the tea and in the room. Luckily we bump into the owner and she told us about the story why she opened this place. Most of the boba shop are using artificial spices and add lots sugar for a drink with low quality of tea leaf. Then sell it at high price that she doesn't want her children to pay such insane $$ and take in any of this unhealthy drinks. Which I really agree since I am a tea drinker and always looking for natural tea with quality. After the experience in store, I start recommending this place to my friends who love boba drinks and want to support this business since they do care about customers' health

Great tea and boba place for those who enjoy drinks with a "strong" tea-flavor. My older relatives would love this as they would describe these drinks as "not too sweet" (perfect). The pearls are tender and soft. The menu features a list of teas that aren't commonly found in most boba chains. Another thing worth noting is that they offer free tea tastings.I would recommend these kinds of drinks if you prefer something more clean-tasting and tea-forward. The interior is charming and clean, with a good amount of seating for groups up to ~4. You can order via kiosks or a cashier can take your order for you.

Still one of my favorites boba shops near Seattle. It was my first time visiting this store, and how I've missed the Rose Green Milk Tea drink since the location in International District closed almost 2 years ago. You can't go wrong with any drinks here, especially if you appreciate authentic and strong tea. Inside is quiet and clean, and has a few high tables to sit around. It was a pleasant surprise to meet the owner Caroline at the FREE tea tasting event on Sundays from 1-4PM. I tried 2 types of Oolong, both were great tea. And I was so happy to be reunited with the Rose Green Milk Tea. I'm excited to hear the Bellevue store is scheduled to open later this year, around summer time.
