I absolutely cannot believe that this place only has 3 stars - it is my favorite American-Chinese takeout place in all of Massachusetts. The value is really incredible, and the quality of the polynesian food is really good. I've ordered from here twice in the past month and both times have been exceptional. But what really stands out is how great of a deal these lunch specials are:First Lunch Special (Pork Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, 3 Crab Rangoons) - $9.90Yes, that's right - all of that food for $9.90! And it gets even better - their lunch specials are available on Saturdays! Pork Fried Rice - I do wish there was egg in this, but I can easily add my own. However, the chunks of pork are really large in this fried rice, and there is a great mixture of lean and fatty pieces here. The rice is nice and dark (if you know New England fried rice, you know), and the flavor is nice and strong without being too salty. Almost every bite comes with a big piece of bbq pork in it, and this is a really satisfying fried rice.Sesame Chicken - Surprisingly, even after ordering takeout and coming in a styrofoam container with a lot of condensation, this was still crispy. This was everything I wanted in an unhealthy meal - crunchy sticky, sweet, and juicy. 3 Crab Rangoons - These are the true reason I keep coming back here. I am extremely picky with crab rangoons and my aunt used to own a Chinese Restaurant that made the greatest ones. This is as close to them as I have ever found, and I order from a good deal of Chinese restaurants. The wrapper is nice and crisp on the outside edges and filled with a good amount of crabby and cream cheese filling. The sign of a good crab rangoon is that you don't have to eat it with duck sauce to cover up the flavor, and I always eat these on their own. That being said, the duck sauce here is also amazing. It's not that orange or red sticky stuff, but it comes in a container and I think they make it themselves - it's got a nice brown color and tastes fruity, sweet, and tangy without being overwhelming. But still, the crab rangoons are so good that they don't need it!Second Lunch Special (Pork Fried Rice, Lobster Sauce, 3 Crab Rangoons) - $9.55Same thing - so much food for $9.55 - and on a Saturday! I actually like the fried rice enough on its own so I eat it without the lobster sauce and then use the lobster sauce on my own white rice that I make at home, giving me 3 meals for only $9.55 - a really incredible deal.Pork Fried Rice - See aboveLobster Sauce - To be completely honest, I've had better lobster sauce (ground meat in a savory thick sauce), but this is not bad at all. It's a good portion, and it's salty enough to be able to last two meals with white rice. It's very dark and savory, with a nice and thick texture that almost sticks together. Delicious!3 Crab Rangoons - See aboveOn top of all of that, the delivery was really fast - I think I ordered while I was out grocery shopping and it was there when I arrived home - in only 20-30 minutes after I placed the order. Hats off to their drivers!Again, I'm really surprised that other people haven't had good experiences with this place - I've been ordering from them since 2020 and they have been consistently the best Chinese takeout I've had in Massachusetts since then. 5/5 stars, and I will happily continue to order from here!

Pretty decent Chinese takeout they have changed owners but the food is still reliable and good. Nothing really stands out but this place is a good local place for a quick fix of Chinese takeout.

Disgusting. 2 boney wings over greasy fried rice, and side of bland egg foo young w/ weak house gravy. The kitchen looks disgusting, I'm sure the mice and roaches have a feast when the lights go out. Hard pass on this Hong Kong Phooey.

I love this place! My go to order is general gao chicken combo with beef skewers. Food is awesome and always delivered really fast. Perfect comforting food for a Friday night during covid.

I've never written a review (good or bad), but this place brought it out of me. This was probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I had a late night craving, so I ordered from Grubhub and I'm so mad I did. I should've read the reviews beforehand. I've never had fried rice this bad. Not only is it super dry, but it leaves a chemical like taste in your mouth afterwards. The Crab Rangoon is a waste of money because there's barely any filling. The egg rolls tasted like they were burned. I usually eat ALL of my Chinese food, but I couldn't even make it through a few bites. I had to throw it out. Please save your money.

The food here has definitely changed since the new owner still good they say they have smoothies but every time I ask I'm told tomorrow which makes no sense to me but what ever the food most of the time makes up for it the outside is some what sketchy but for the area not horrible I would recommend and I'm sure there open late

My favorite place in the area. The lunch special is a fantastic deal for a hungry student, I just wish they offered it more often. The food is sinfully good. I'd compare Young Kong to a far better Panda Express. What they're serving is fatty, sugary, delicious fast food and sometimes that's all I want. Get the lunch special with sesame chicken and boneless ribs, and expect to get at least two meals out of it.

I get takeout from here all the time the pad Thai is great. The portions are also decent.

This place messed up on a order of chicken. They brought us the right order an hour later called back 2 hours later and said they want the chicken back!!!! This was highly unprofessional and unsanitary.
