The lady at the front was really welcoming and friendly (Saturday 5/18 @2pm), and our coffee (Rosemary Brown Sugar) was very good. Subtle, balanced, and strong.Super cute shop to soak up the sun on the patio, great art and jewelry on display.We'll be back!

Thank god for YIPAO!! After Bird Rock Coffee Roasters closed on Garnet, I was a sad girl. But then Yipao opened!!They know what's up with coffee. Everyone that works there is super kind and really customizes the order to your liking. The owner works in store at times as well which I really love from a customer service stand point. They are also SUPER dog friendly which is always a bonus. Many treats have been given to my pups from the staff.It feels like the perfect, cozy local coffee shop and I walk here at least 2x weekly to enjoy a cortado or macchiato. Sometimes they are a little heavy on the milk (depending on who is serving you) but they are happy to fix it for you if it's not to your liking. Definitely not the place to go if you're in a rush but perfect spot for a lazy Sunday.

A fantastic coffee shop focused solely on Columbian coffee beans. I came in both to buy beans and get a cup of coffee, and in selecting beans the barista was really helpful in asking questions about what kind of coffee I liked and how I liked to brew, etc. My black coffee and the beans have all been fantastic.The indoor space is small, but there is plenty of patio seating. Great spot!

I LOVED IT HERE! Came from AZ and made it our spot while we were in San Diego!!! The staff was so amazing and friendly and coffee was delicious!!

Yipao Coffee has been on my list to try for a while now. Luckily, I was in the area and finally got the chance to try it out. There seemed to be a small pour over event today so the workers were quite busy (maybe a little overwhelmed). One guy at the coffee bar, he seemed to be stretched thin-- but honestly I didn't mind waiting! The interior of the place is cut in half. On the left side, the yellow coffee roaster machine was doing its thing. Crates and bags lined against the wall by the window. The right side was where we stood in line. The menu was displayed on a screen as well as a laminated paper by the pastries. I ordered a seasonal drink: the iced strawberry latte. This came out reasonably quick. And it was a tad too milky for me. I wish there was more emphasis on the espresso because I feel the flavor notes could have been really good. The strawberry, I think was a syrup-- it was very subtle and more tart than sweet. 6/10. I'll definitely come back to give Yipao another chance. Maybe try one of the other specialty coffees --The place was pretty cool. Good prices and I loved the interior/exterior. The color of the outdoor chairs and umbrellas screamed sunshine, warmth, and happiness. They had a good amount of outdoor seating! Will be back to try them again, if you're in Pacific Beach I recommend coming here. Also it's less than a minute walk from Hoboken Pizza & Beer Joint.

Cool place, loved the vibe. Seems very authentic. Ordered the mocha and it definitely was heavy on the milk compared to actual mocha (as you can see by how white it is in my pic)

Cool coffee at Pacific beach. Rolled in around open on a Sunday morning. Seating options were limited inside, some outdoor options available but not much of a view. The coffee was delicious, sourced from Colombia, roasted in house. I ordered an Americano. +75c for almond milk is never cool. Probably a better shop for high quality grab n go coffee vs to spend time and chill.

Great coffee and great service. After having excellent beverages and food, I left my expensive sunglasses behind and the owner ran down the street to find me! Can't beat that

People were so so nice! Got a juice which was very sweet but delicious. On the pricier side but fun to have something different.

If you want some bomb coffee this is the place. There's even cold brew lemonade. I got the Columbia mocha hot. I'll try the caramel macchiato next
