Amazing Chinese food, the best in all of San Diego.We love the cantonese chicken, shrimp or chicken chow mein, spicy tofu, honey walnut shrimp and Spicy garlic wings. Absolutely anything you order will be delicious. Very large portions, we always have tons of left overs. Their service is OK, but the food is absolutely worth the okay service. Some servers are very fast and attentive while others not so much.The ambience is a vibe, cute traditional Chinese restaurant with lanterns. Seating includes booths and center rectangular tables. They Also have a private room in the back for larger parties. Ying li is absolutely delicious, a true chinese food gem. Worth the drive if you are coming from up north! Must visit San Ysidro location.

We came to this place during lunch time at work, this is definitely a hole in the wall! We got the sweet and sour chicken and Kung pao chicken. The sweet/sour wasn't my favorite - the sauce was rather sweet. The Kung pao was spicy but on point. We got fried rice and cream cheese wontons as well, which were good buys. The service is super fast too, making it a good break spot for work. It's located pretty close to the border! Parking is a bit tight due to construction.

Recent local find! Went there for lunch with coworkers, the place was well lit, clean, and quite a few tables with customers too! Got good business. They opened a location in Chula Vista as well.Go the lunch special which was around $13 or so, very affordable in this economy!Menu was in Spanish with English next to itWill visit again soon!

The place hits the spot with the classics. Got the crab rangoons, salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp chow mein, beef n broccoli and their house fried rice. The only dish that wasn't great was the noodles and the rangoons. Overall, we got our food quick, the taste was fine. But it was pretty pricy. Would recommend if you're down south and have a craving for Chinese

My cousin recommended this cute authentic Chinese restaurant in San Ysidro. We were seated right away and greeted with a very bubbly attitude ! We tried Tsingtao beer that's our new favorite beer , honestly better than Sapporo . We order wonton soup the broth was so authentic reminds me of the Chinese food we used to eat in Tijuana growing up , along with king pao chicken , Cantonese chicken , salt&pepper wings and the chicken fried rice is the best one by far in San Diego !!! Anyone that is a lover of Chinese / Cantonese food you must come to Ying Li. Thank you for serving delicious food and value customer service , we felt very welcoming and will be returning

The food was amazing I ordered salt and Pepper chicken wings and orange chicken it tasted amazing well seosoned nice and warm the service was excellent above expectations the lady that attended me was super kind and respectful the food was affordable for a big portion I deeply recommend this place next time you are in San Ysidro.

This place is the Bomb! One of the better hole in the wall Chinese food places! The portions are huge, get the lunch specials! Good quality, freshly cooked. And the Chinese ladies even speak Spanish!!

Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant 1 star. We called in our order and went 15 minutes later to pick it up. I stayed in the car and my boyfriend went inside to pick it up. They told him they gave it to the wrong person but they would remake the order. He was waiting inside for about 15 minutes. Suddenly a truck pulls up, and I was in the car right next to the truck. The young male worker came to the driver side of the truck and was laughing saying he took the wrong order but he was going to give him the one the truck brought back.... (I'm literally listening to the whole conversation because Im parked right next to the truck) The worker hides the bag and goes through the back...(the bag of food they are going to give to my boyfriend)I immediately call my boyfriend and tell him not to take the food, I just find it gross that it went to another household and they brought the food back.... not sanitary. The young male worker comes back to the truck and they are laughing because they gave the food back and the restaurant was going to say they made it fresh! He kept laughing saying who cares he's gonna take it. He still doesn't notice me in the car.My boyfriend asked for a refund and they hesitated trying to open the boxes and act like it was fresh food...Just sucks because instead of actually remaking the food, they tried to have someone bring the food back, and laugh about it.Lamentablemente tengo que darle a este restaurante 1 estrella.Llamamos para hacer nuestro pedido y fuimos 15 minutos más tarde a recogerlo. Me quedé en el auto y mi novio entró a recogerlo. Le dijeron que se lo habían dado a la persona equivocada pero que rehacerían el pedido. Estuvo esperando adentro durante unos 15 minutos. De repente se detiene un camión y yo estaba en el auto justo al lado del camión. El joven trabajador se acercó al lado del conductor del camión y se reía diciendo que había tomado el pedido equivocado pero que le iba a dar el que trajo el camión... (Literalmente estoy escuchando toda la conversación porque estoy estacionado justo al lado del camión) El trabajador esconde la bolsa y pasa por atrás...(la bolsa de comida que le van a dar a mi novio)Inmediatamente llamo a mi novio y le digo que no se lleve la comida, simplemente me parece asqueroso que haya ido a otra casa y me hayan devuelto la comida... no es sanitaria.El joven trabajador regresa al camión y se ríe porque le devolvieron la comida y el restaurante iba a decir que la hicieron fresca. Siguió riéndose diciendo a quién le importa que lo acepte. Todavía no me ve en el auto.Mi novio pidió un reembolso y dudaron al intentar abrir las cajas y actuar como si fuera comida fresca.En lugar de rehacer la comida, intentaron que alguien la trajera de vuelta y se riera de ello.

Ordered food to go. Showed up and they let me know they gave it to the wrong person. They said they would remake the food...I waited about 15 minutes and then they had someone bring back the food they had taken. They thought it was funny that they were going to give it back to me. The younger Asian man went back and was talking to his buddy laughing that I was going to take the food.They even took the food through the back door and acted like it was fresh. Luckily my girlfriend saw everything and let me know. I told them I didn't want that food anymore and to please give me a refund. They were hesitant. I did get my refund but it really makes me question the cleanliness of this place. Pedí comida para llevar. Apareció y me hicieron saber que se lo habían dado a la persona equivocada. Dijeron que reharían la comida... Esperé unos 15 minutos y luego le pidieron a alguien que les trajera la comida que habían tomado. Les pareció gracioso que me lo fueran a devolver. El joven asiático regresó y estaba hablando con su amigo riéndose de que yo iba a llevar la comida. Alguna vez llevaban la comida por la puerta trasera y actuaban como si estuviera fresca. Por suerte mi novia vio todo y me avisó. Les dije que ya no quería esa comida y que por favor me devolvieran el dinero. Estaban indecisos. Recibí mi reembolso pero realmente me hace cuestionar la limpieza de este lugar.

The Singapore noodles are delicious. So much plump shrimp and the curry is so delicious! I have been here twice and I will continue to come every time I am in the neighborhood. The Chinese ladies are so sweet and they speak fluent Spanish, too! I can't wait to go back on Monday! The place can be pretty busy and I see a lot of Chinese influence in the decor.
