I have been to the YiFang in University District and now this location in Federal Way. It is located in a pretty large shopping plaza, where HMart is. I really liked the interior aesthetic of this YiFang. It was a little dimly lit, but other than that, very relaxing and calm place to grab boba. We had minimal interaction with the staff since we ordered our drinks off the self-checkout screen that is available. I ordered the Brown Sugar Matcha with pearls and adjusted the sweetness to 70%. It was not too sweet, like I wanted and not too milky, which I was worried about when it comes to adjusting the sweetness level.

I didn't know that there's a Yi Fang in Fed Way so when I saw that there's in the area, I had to check it out! I got the mango sago and the custard egg waffles. Both were delicious! I need to go back to try the other egg waffle flavors! I also need to try their other drinks! Ordering through the giant monitor is pretty easy. It's a simple yet comfortable looking place!

I've been to a YiFang Taiwan Fruit Tea up in Seattle before, and it was a positive experience, so I was a bit disappointed with the experience I had here.I was craving boba after dinner one night and came in 15-30 minutes before they close. It was very quiet inside, there were maybe 2 other patrons inside.The menu layout was not the best, which is my first complaint. It wasn't like the other stores in the chain I've been to where there is a touch screen to order that makes it very clear what you are ordering, but an old fashioned laminated paper menu. However, it was not laid out in columns or rows to separate each section of drinks. It was a line for each section, and it would just run another row down if there wasn't enough room in the single row. It also had pictures of drinks and next to each drink example/diagram, it had 1-3 drinks listed. The menu also listed alternatives to traditional tapioca, such as red bean, lychee, etc.When we tried to order, we were told that we cannot customize our drinks/change which topping are in the drinks.The drinks were also okay. I ordered the Sugar Pearl Matcha with Milk and the matcha powder to liquid ratio was off, so there was so much matcha powder that the drink seemed overly thick and had clumps of matcha that was not stirred or blended in.My partner ordered the Red Bean milk tea, and it was a safe/good choice.

Yifang is the place for all the introverted boba-fanatics lol. When you enter, there's a massive touchscreen for you to order items from. If there's a long line, you can also scan their QR code to order from your phone or use their tablet by the front counter. You don't have to speak to anyone when ordering and there will be a screen that calls your number when your drink is ready. The drinks were so good that I went twice in one week hehe. First time, I ordered brown sugar pearl with oolong tea and it was okay, but tasted a little watered down. The second time, I ordered brown sugar pearl with black tea and liked it a lot more. You can tell they use fresh ingredients to make their drinks (and not powder) because of the fresh tea aroma and how the drinks are served a little warm. The brown sugar pearls are cooked with the perfect soft and chewy consistency. I like that there is also an option to order non-dairy creamer.There are plenty of seats and tables. I hope they start having board games for smalls groups hangouts. Parking was easy. They're located next to Pho Tai and Nine Way restaurant.

Another visit to this amazingly good tea spot. Every time to date I'm never disappointed with my drink. Quick process to order and no long waits. The location is perfectly centered around shopping center and other restaurants. They are adding more food choices to the menu... the yam fries goes great with my tea order.

I came here on a Saturday evening. There's a big kiosk screen located near the entrance. There was no one at the kiosk when I arrived, so I was able to spend several minutes browsing the menu. After I placed my order on the kiosk, my companions and I went over to the claw machines, which had very cute little stuffed animals. They're the nice quality stuffed animals from Japan I believe. The interior of this place is spacious with a decent amount of seating. I ordered a Black Tea Milk Tea at 50% sweetness with boba. The boba had a good texture; it was nice and chewy. The drink was okay/decent. Other than subtle, I'm not sure how else to describe the drink. It was a subtle sweet tea drink.

The good: the food is consistently good. It's always clean. Service is prompt. Drink menu is excellent. The Bad: the single ordering kiosk is overloaded and hard to navigate. This can make ordering awkward if people are behind you in line. The ugly: the 15-20% tip options, up front for a no service restaurant serving on paper plates is offensive. Sorry. I'm trying to be helpful. Maybe dial the numbers back or just a blank option but when you're food costs as much as the 3 restaurants next to you, you're asking a lot.
