Yasin's Homestyle Seafood

Fresh out the grease it did not take long for my order. The coleslaw is amazing, but I can't wait to put it on a hotdog later. The hush puppies are cooked to perfection with a nice crunch . The housemate shoes, grape juice taste like Welches that's the only thing that disappointed me. I was looking forward to something tasted like grape Kool-Aid.

I think I found my go to fried fish and shrimp spot! This is a homestyle seafood restaurant off of a busy street, you can find a decent size parking lot and a handful of booths if you choose to dine inside. You can also place your order online for pickup and will have no wait when you arrive. Food is served with a smile and you're treated like a regular, although it is your first time ordering. The food was hot and so good! Whiting and shrimp were fried and seasoned to perfection. Onion rings and fries were the perfect texture, they were golden brown. The only thing I did not enjoy was the potato salad, it was a little too tangy for me and needed more spice. Reminds me of this old school fish shop back home.

This food wasn't worth the $30.00 I paid at all! The shrimp was heavily breaded and soggy the hush puppies were heavy and dense. The sweet potato puffs were good. The fried okra could've been fried harder and seasoned. Overall it wasn't good at all⁉I will never patronize this establishment again‼

I have always found the food very delicious and cooked to perfection at the Yasin's on Old National Road, but today 2/22/24 was something that will NOT allow me to patronize them any more. The sweet lady at the counter gave my order to someone else (she doubled checked to make sure that she hadn't made a mistake) and they had to recook my order of two pieces of cat fish, coleslaw, hushpuppies, red beans & rice. The cook, an older, slim gentlemen in the back stated." that he was so sorry and that my order would be ready in 3 minutes." I put my timer on and sat down to wait for my order to be recooked. My reprepared order was complete and given to me with a smile and another apology from the cashier. When I arrived home I my husband realized that Yasin's had prepared tilapia instead of catfish. I hopped back in the car and drove back to Yasin's on Old National. The older gentlemen came from behind the counter and asked me "what was wrong" in a whisper voice. I proceeded to explain in a whisper, "that I was give tilapia instead of catfish." He asked me to open up the container to take a look and pushed the container back to me and said, "ma'am, that's cat fish not tilapia." I explained that the order wasn't for me and thanks you. As I was getting back in line to order something else like, shrimp, the cashier asked the cook, "what was wrong" and he stated, " SHE DON'T KNOW HER FISH!" To me that was very unprofessional. Considering they have a health score of 80%, NOT 100% health rating.

Excellent fried fish. Made fresh. Very crispy and hot. The fries are good too. I don't like the hot sauce. Coleslaw 8/10. I recommend giving it a try.

We arrive approximately 20 minutes before closing. Needless to say the cashier and the cooks were still very energetic very pleasant and fixed the most delicious food for my husband and I and our family. I would absolutely recommend Yasins to anyone who wants some great seafood on the southside of Atlanta!

So, I am a College Park native and have always driven past this place. Even though I've always heard good things, I guess I was never into seafood as I am today. Anywho, on to the review. Doordash came through for lunch and dropped off my food, nice and hot! I went w/ a chicken tender basket and fries for an appetizer. Nothing crazy special but delectable to say the least. For my main, I chose the 3 piece tilapia meal, baked; which came w/ two sides and a dinner roll. I chose macaroni n cheese and sweet potato puffs. Man, both were sublime. I have never had sweet potatoes in the form of tater tots. It just melts in your mouth! The mac was perfect. I have to say I am impressed. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely fantastic. I've eaten here 3 times therefore I feel more than qualified to speak on this. I had this food 1 times as a pickup to eat in my car and 2 times had it delivered; yes the food travels well.The fried whiting fish was absolutely terrific. Cooked just slight too long and seasoning was great except a smidge too salty. These were big items for me that brought the 4 stars. I would consider it again as the service was fine and the meals were well packaged.

I was looking for some good Fish since my regular Fish House was closed , so I came across Yasin Honestly Seafood on Old National Hwy. I didn't want any French Fries so I decided to make some Red beans and Rice. The Fish didn't have a Fishy Taste it was Fresh , Big Portions The Hushpuppies was Crunchy and Fried Perfectly. They gave me 8 Tarter Sauce Cups to top it off . That was a nice touch being The Tarter Sauce is a Mustard Base. Last but not least being that they didn't come from The West End Store they came all the way from Old National yes they deserve a nice Trip

Good seafood always tasty.. I would recommend it to anyone ok'ing for home style seafood at an affordable price.
