Yankee Lobster

Service is great, food is pretty good, birds pooping on you is notAt least half of the seating is in a covered outdoor area with birds in the rafters. I was hit at least five times, my youngest daughter was hit once. Fix this and it's four stars. Right now it's a health code violation.

Oof so much to say about this place. First off when they tell you that the lobster rolls are mixed meat (meaning both tail and claw) know that it is ALL claw. For you lobster aficionados out there, you know the difference. The service is okay and I absolutely hate having to wait in line like a friggin peasant to get a table. This first come first serve bs at such high price points is not cool. Maybe it's an east coast thing but my time is worth something and I don't like waiting in line only to be snarked at by some table queen to assign me a table that's been recently vacated. Didn't exactly cause for a nice ambiance. My fried shrimp platter was good, well seasoned and abundant. Let's talk about sand. The sand in the clam chowder is glorious. If you're looking to have the best sand around, then Yankee clam chowder is your calling.

We ordered DoorDash delivery so we knew the food would most likely come a bit soggy because it's fried. Regardless of that we got the clam strip meal and it was delicious!! Nicely breaded and the clams were not overly chewy -- excellent texture. Definitely a great place to try if in Boston especially if you are looking for a delivery place later at night.

I am SO HAPPY that Yankee Lobster Co was recommended to me. Easy 5 stars without question! Yankee Lobster is a charming, no-frills establishment serving a phenomenal local classic dish. What's more is how welcoming they were to us and our little dog. They have a few tables out front on the sidewalk and then a side dining patio. Table service isn't available, so your pupper will need to remain outside when you place your order at the counter inside. For our visit, we ordered the butter lobster roll ($37) which was so rich and jam packed with delectable lobster, along with a fried shrimp appetizer ($15) and a Lobster Juice drink (which is a raspberry lime soda)! Everything was a hit, and the portions were definitely enough for two people to share. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at this pleasant place. Bonus: they offer dedicated FREE 2 hour PARKING for their customers! Only about 6 parking spots are available, but still, awesome! If there's no spots available, there's a pay-for parking lot right behind Yankee Lobster. Excellent place that I highly recommend you try!

They are pricey, but were very generous with the amount of lobster they serve. It was a bit of a wait, but not bad at all for the amount of people there. The restaurant was pretty crowded, but we were able to find a table easily.

Stopped here on my way to bring my son to sleep away camp. We heard it was worth the drive... boy were they right! Being from Boston originally, I've had my fair share of lobstah rolls... this place was one of the best I've ever had. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was house made so creamy, gooey and baked to perfection. I didn't love the lemonade but I don't like overly sweet things. The clam chowder was also very good. Fries were just ok. Come for the lobster rolls! Staff was mid. Everyone was super busy and running around so there wasn't much chit chat or friendliness. Wouldn't stop me from coming back!

I recently visited Yankee Lobster in Boston, and it was a fantastic experience overall.First, let me say that the lobster roll was absolutely amazing and incredibly fresh. The lobster was tender and flavorful, and the roll itself was perfectly toasted. It truly lived up to the hype and was one of the best I've had in the city.However, one thing that could be improved is the transparency regarding the market price of lobster. I understand that the price changes daily, but it would be very helpful if the current price was posted on the menu prior to ordering. Seeing the bill at the register without prior notice was a bit of a surprise. Yankee Lobster is a must-visit spot for seafood lovers in Boston, and I would definitely recommend it.

I did have to add some salt to my fries but the staff were friendly lot and my ($40) lobster roll with butter came out within 10 mins and was large and delicious!

We were in the area for a concert and were starving and were glad to find some quick bites close by at Yankee Lobster. We didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised. We got one order of the classic cold mayo lobster roll and one order of the fish & chips. The place looks like a shack usually located close by to the sea where you can expect to get some seafood from, kinda cool. (Smells kinda like it too lol) Anywho, back to the food review: I had the lobster roll, I have had really delicious filled over the top lobster rolls so this one was just a 3.5/5 for me. Not enough lobster chunks and the bun wasn't super buttery and I'd usually prefer they go heavy on the mayo + celery. The fries were hot and fresh but nothing spectacular. The fish filets from the fish n chips order my boyfriend got tho, pretty darn good. I did not let one single piece go to waste. Not too much batter, fresh big chunk of fish. (My boyfriend wanted it to be more fried and battered for some reason??). The coleslaw and the tartar sauce that came with the fish n chips meal tho, I was not a fan. Tasted very very odd. Service was quick and attentive and they have cool outdoor seatings so overall not a bad last minute dinner decision for us!

Great seafood and great staff - pleasant atmosphere that isn't stuffy. Casual and not decadent - great combination!
