Originally wanted Korean soup with fish but the restaurant we were going to shut down so we came here. Not very busy as there was only two other tables in there, all Koreans. There is a bit of a language barrier with the waitress so just show pictures or point to whatever on the menu. My friend asked for the beef broth with brisket and tripe but wanted to add tendon but she didn't understand and it didn't come with tendon added. I ordered the pork neck broth with potatoes. Portion size is huge. Luckily I shared my bowl and gave my friend half or else I wouldn't have finished it. Love all the side dishes, especially the kimchi on top of a spoonful of soup rice and meat. Went really well together. Perfect balance of flavor and she gave spicy paste on the side if we wanted to add more seasoning. Prices are cheap too for what you get! Definitely recommend this place for a nice rainy day.

Once again, I'm reviewing a really quaint little Korean restaurant. Today I ordered Soondae Seonji Soup. This was an amazing soup. The blood sausage was just like I remember when I tried it in South Korea. The Ox blood was nice and had a delicious light bitterness to it. There were plenty of sprouts and I added my rice to the dish. There were also nice chunks of tripe in it . The Banchan was perfect for this kind of soup, all of my favorite ones. The restaurant is located in the back of a few mini strip mall buildings. It's really a nice cozy little place. It's clean and the service was fast . As always I love to practice the Korean language when I go to new places. The waitress was very polite and had a smile when serving my food. This is kind of an unusual food but it is out of this world delicious. Great Great Great Job.

This restaurant is well known for their Korean traditional hangover soups. The food is consistently delicious and they have a simple menu with the same soup with different meat choices. The beef brisket is probably a safe choice for people who have never had this soup before. Service is always quick and staff are friendly.

Yangpyung is my favorite kind of Korean restaurant: limited menu, very specialized, great traditional food. As of September '22, the only options they have are different kinds of haejangguk (also known as hangover soup), gamjatang, and sundae (blood sausage), and that's fine by me! Contrary to popular belief, not all haejangguk has blood in it. Most of the options on this menu don't include blood, which makes it easy to try this rich and fortifying ox bone-based soup. I loved how it came out boiling hot, perfect for a cold day, with plenty of meat and vegetables inside. It was all well-cooked and paired well with the side dishes. The gamjatang was less of a strength; the right elements were there, but the soup wasn't rich enough and felt rather one-dimensional compared to the haejangguk. I didn't regret trying it, but it's not the star here, especially not with the increase in price. All things considered, would definitely recommend and come again!

Really good food and service. The server was super nice and gave us great service. It was our first time and the broth was super delicious. We were supposed to go next door but they were close, luckily this place was open and our detour plan became a blessing to try this place out. Parking is located anywhere. There's other Korean shops, restaurants all over. Nice hidden gem

An alright place. Probably best to go for Korean appetizers and drinks. Not really good for eating authentic and traditional Korean foods. Also, not really for large groups of people. The restaurant is kind of small, so might not be comfortable for more than 6 people at a table.Tried this out for the first time on Sunday, 10/17/21. They had a limited menu. Ordered the Pork Belly, Pigs Feet with Cabbage, Spicy Pork Neck bone Soup with Potatoes, Beef Brisket in Beef Broth soup, and a bottle of Soju. We received side dishes of kimchi, radish and bean jelly. Rice cost $1.50 each. The food tasted OK. I wouldn't say they were the best or anything too delicious. Can't say that they were anything I haven't eaten before, but taste-wise, they were simply alright. Maybe needs more flavor, in terms of spice level? The soups were kind of bland. Needed more salt or seasoning.Liked the Chamisul Soju and Pork Belly.

Call me biased but there's nothing more comforting than an extreme piping hot bowl of haejangguk (hangover soup) with soondae (blood sausage). I have loved Seoul restaurant for years as it always hits the spot for sizzling hot soups but I wasn't sure how the takeout version of my favorite was going to stand up! Lo and behold, the takeout version stands. Love they separated the soondae from the soup portion because who likes soggy soondae?!?!? You also get a small thing of white rice along with tiny things of kkakdugi (turnip kimchi) and cabbage kimchi. I would like to have seen a slightly bigger portion of rice because it left me wanting more but that can be easily fixed by supplementing at home. So glad I was able to heat the soup to sizzling boiling temperature at home and get my haejang fix. And for those of you wondering, you certainly do not need to have a hangover to enjoy "hangover soup!"

Came in and was immediately seated. Very simple menu easy to choose from. I got the #8 gamjatang and my friends got other items. It came out steaming hot with simple banchans, a side plate to put my bones. Meat was tender and juicy. The broth well seasoned and spicy. Every bite went well with each other and rice. Would get again 10/10 on a cold day.

Came in here to try out their stews for lunch and I am so glad I did. This nice lady was the only waitress at the place but she gave great service with the refills and checked on us often. The food was delicious. One of the pork shoulder spicy dish was really spicy. I had difficulty eating it. I guess they did say spicy. The brisket stew was such a great comfort food for a rainy day. There's also little Korean sides like kimchi, picked radishes, rice cakes etc. That they will gladly refill for you.Overall. Great little hidden gem.

I stay recommending this spot to my friends! Fed has no shortage of amazing Korean food and this spot adds to it! Their gamjatang is HELLA BOMB. Huge chunks of tender meat and the broth is soooo good. My parents go to spot for soondae-guk for 8 years! Free parking lot.
