Yamada Teriyaki

This is the best teriyaki in the area, hands down. Meat was cooked to perfection. Family owned!

Friendly service, good food, fast preparation. The space where you order is fairly bare bones, with a few tables and some drink dispensers. Doesn't matter. It's clean and the food is good. Everyone who spoke to us was cheerful and efficient. We got the tofu teriyaki and the combo beef and chicken teriyaki. Both were delicious.

Good tasting chicken, I like this place. The old (marine vet?) owner has a sense of humor. Need to go back and try the Teriyaki. Can't take any points off! It's a homey feeling hole in the wall.___2/17/2023Went back, the food is really good. Just go.

This is a gem hiding around the corner in South Center. Small mom and pop shop with FRESH veggies and good portions.Well worth the drive.

The beef dish I had was excellent. The ingredients are very high quality, with a delicious sauce, and perfectly balanced spice level. The portion sizes are large and hardy, so don't be deterred by the prices, which are fair for the amount of food you get. Would highly recommend.

When it comes to the food, Yamada certainly IS five stars. Actually, it was some of the best teriyaki I've ever had. The spice level was perfect. The chicken was fresh with lots of flavor.I gave it four stars because it's just too overpriced. $16-$20 for a single bowl? In THIS economy? Come on, now. With all that being said, I'd probably come back here if I were in the area again.

Had this months ago before their remodel and it was great. Small amount of cabbage with the teriyaki chicken and one of the best sauces I have had. Just had it again and not so much. No cabbage and the sauce went from a sweet, light, slightly pineapple tang to a slightly chard, overly soy sauce kick in the face. Hoping its just and off day and not the new norm. Hate to see this place go the way Toshi's in Burien went, down hill. Side note: service and worker great though.

Nothing fancy and pretty small but it's clean, the food is excellent the people are super friendly. Give it a try!

My late lunch turned into my favorite teriyaki place. I ordered the Chichen Stir Fry. Amazing amount of fresh vegetables. I wish I workedor lived in the area because I would be here weekly. I will be back when I am in the area or make up a reason to drive down from Seattle.

Great customer service is so important with a business. You truly feel like they care about what they do. This shows up in their food as well. This is some of the best Teriyaki I have had. Keep up the great work! I would recommend!
